@@zaccook I can imagine… my headlights took 2 months, working in the evenings… My mind is going crazy with ideas for patterns, diffused vs undiffused etc.

Just a heads up, what you're calling the cathodes are actually the leads (leed). The cathode is the shorter of the leads and the longer is called the anode !

Hi Zac I really like your work, I’m inspired to do my own taillights.
I have a question : If you follow the resistor guide you show at 1:20 , can you directly power the led with ~12v in the car without damaging the leds or you need a thing to reduce the imput voltage to about 3v.

yep! 12v in is what they are designed for. I can't wait to see them!
@@zaccook thank for your response, and for the leds are you using regular ones like you can buy on amazon ? (2.0-2.4v for the red and yellow ones and 3.0-3.2v for the white)
How far do they need to go in?
just until there is some pressure and then add some shoe goo on them to make sure they do not fall out.
