    I’m going to be building a set for my buddy’s Hatch STI and was curious if the blughozt would control the rgb 5mm separate from the strips or how that would be wired or if that requires another controller in conjunction

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  2 года назад

      If you use the strips and the 5mm addressable leds they can run in series and 1 ghozt can control it all, up to 350 leds on each side. I have a video showing how to run 12v and 5v leds from the same controller.

      The Grounds and the power wires all connect together, run wires from each and splice all of the grounds together and all of the power wires together. Then run those main power and ground wires to your controller power and grounds

    • @NextLevelNeo

      They flash? Normally the sign of a bad led is if it stays dimly lit when you turn them off. It may be bad leds. Flashing could be pins touching, but im not 100% sure on that.

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, the bigger factor is sections. 5mm addressable builds are advanced addressable. If you haven't worked with addressable or ghozt before then be prepared for a lot of frustration.

    • @djseb.official
      @djseb.official 2 месяца назад

      @@NextLevelNeo i guess what im really trying to undestand is how does the module figure out what area/section to power up based on the different inputs it sees? or is that something that can be defined via programming?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, you will set sections in the app and define which section does what. But that is a really simplified explanation. I cover in more detail in a lot of my videos. Think of my tutorial section on RUclips as a college course on addressable. If you just watch a few videos you won't have the full picture.

    You have 2 different 3pins comming off the board is one the input and second is output to connect to the next board ?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Год назад

      There is a diagram for the pins on the website and i show what each pin is in the video. There is a data in, ground, power, and data out, and they are in that order. Tall pin is power.

    • @avtartakhar2429
      @avtartakhar2429 Год назад

      @@NextLevelNeo I understand that , it’s just when u Hook it up to the blueghost module there 3 wires that are hanging off , is that what you would connect to the next board ? Or how do u get 2 or 3 boards within one housing to connect ?

    • @NextLevelNeo
      @NextLevelNeo  Год назад

      @Avtar Takhar power can be split, so all power and ground running to the lights can split off to each board. Data needs to run from the controller to the input on the first board, and from the output on the first board to the input on the second board and then to the next and so on. Just separate the power and ground from the data in your head. Power and ground are the same on all boards, just keep in mind voltage requirements for the leds you are using. Like if you are mixing 12v strips and 5v leds. Data on the other hand is run in series, connecting one board to the other so the ghozt controller can control each led independently.

    • @NextLevelNeo

      You'll have to breakup the layout into sectors of matrix and strips. You can do up to 10 sectors on each light. You'll have to figure out the best way to do that with the design you've chosen.
