  • A trip through some lesser visited but interesting parts of Old Cairo; the necropolis where people live with their entombed ancestors, and the unbelievable city of garbage..

We did get a golden ticket. I am both grateful and humbled. Thank you for reminding us how fortunate we are.

      Wretched Refuse, or GIGO
Garbage in, garbage out. Your golden ticket has expired in America's sanctuary cities, e.g., New York, LA, Frisco, etc.
If you ever want a whiff of the stench without having to travel halfway round the globe, drop me a line, and we'll take a tour of a once First World city.
      Talk about enigmas!

Adam Noman Hi Adam, I live in Western Europe and my golden ticket is still valid, but I have lived amongst people in third world conditions in Eastern Europe and several African countries. I love America too and it breaks my heart to see footage of people living in dismal poverty in several of the big cities (and no doubt smaller ones too). Each country and neighbourhood has its own challenges and some are definitely bigger than others. I am just one little person but try to do my part by being kind to my neighbours and cleaning up the streets or the park every now and then. I am very very grateful that a bit of littering is just about the biggest problem in my area and am very aware of how fortunate I am compared to many others. Lots of love.

Thank you so much for posting this. The majority of us simply cannot do what you are able to do, which is to show us American's how fortunate we are. We really do need to stop whining and complaining about things, "here."

I absolutely LOVE watching this, experiencing what life is like there(and in 4k makes it seem as if i was there), I find it fascinating such as you did. love this type of video! Thank you (want more like this)

I've been there too, and I agree with you, I really felt bad for the people living there, especially children. We passed through the Garbage City on our way to the Cave Church and the Monastery of Saint Simon. It's the only route that takes you there, and not in a million years would you imagine arriving at such a lovely place through so much garbage!

Thanks for posting this. Certainly was not what i was looking for. Part of the reason that i would not be able to go is that i do not have the stomach for it, and i cannot help them

Not sure if you mentioned the meaning of zabaleen . It means manual (garbage / waste ) collectors . I wish this all goes to modern recycling / automation ASAP.
Upper Egypt is the south and the opposite is true because the Nile/ Soil in the south are on higher elevation than it is in lower Egypt .
Mokkatam was mispronounced . So was the Karnak temple in previous videos Just FYI :) Thanks

ThexWITCHxmaster, but we miss the issue still, it is US who are corrupt.
Solving it, has nothing to do with Cairo or any other place on this wonderful planet called Earth.., it is all about ourselves.
Cause we except this.., are shown to think this way in school.., by being the one with an A.
Showing off to other kids, with what you're parents are, or what is given to you by them which no one has.., 'look I have an I-phone!'..
      And here we are..
This is my result, my hypocrisy, my grade, my country, my family, my pride of what I became.., and nothing(!) Is made by myself..
It's not about 'what I say' it's just about, 'what I see'.
      That will change 'me'.
      :-)
      Game over..

Because that "trash" is a resource that keeps thousands of people alive. It feeds pigs, sorted plastics and metals are traded for cash.

Americans have it good because we did the work. Others want what we have but can’t bring them selves to do the work.
