This is what makes a city like Cairo so special when compared to cities that are perhaps richer and cleaner like Dubai, it's the people, the history. It's like a cocktail of different cultures and civilizations all crammed into one megacity.
A lot of the palaces and mosques in Cairo were built using stone they had stolen from the pyramids and temples at the Giza plateau. The beautiful white casing stones that covered the entire grand pyramids to make the surface smooth, gone. I wish it wasn't so :/

My favorite line: "This is the right place. I don't know what you're looking for but I have what you need." Man, I stopped by one shop to buy some incense...just because I was there and it seemed like a good souvenir, and this shop keeper made me tea, had me sit down, talked to me for a while..which I was fine with because I was tired from walking....and then he tried to sell me the incense. He wanted $100 for a bag of incense. I tried to tell him that $100 doesn't even make sense....I'd give him $5. He went on and on about how it was the best. I finally just had to walk away as he was still talking. I bought the same stuff...at least it looked the same...around the corner for $2.

Excellent footage of old Cairo Bazars. Excellent architectures. Totally unique style of buildings. First time I am seing Cairo in greater details. Really a great experience.
Living at those apartments at top where they have stores downstairs was very convenient sometimes you don’t even have to go downstairs to go to the store you just tie a rope to a bucket send the bucket down the window or the balcony tell the store owner what you want he puts it in the bucket and you can pull the bucket back up you can get groceries without leaving your house I wasn’t going to watch this video cause it’s too long but I’m glad I did this brought back so many memories I’m in tears
Did you hear that guy say, "This is the right place. I don't know what you're looking for but I have what you need." I thought that was pretty funny. Yeah, they were all very nice and welcoming. If you stop though to talk, it's hard to get away. They are all smooth talkers.

Enhorabuena por tan sublime filmación. Saludos desde Aragón, en España.

Magnificent! I admire you for going down those side alleys! I remember when I was there, I went off on my own (starting point Cairo Museum), and was soon lost in the back streets. I managed to purchase lovely sandals with shiny, silver Audi pens. Also haggled with the US Dollar (I had some ready for better deals, although I'm from UK). The biggest difference I noticed on your video from my visit, is back then there were no mobile/cell phones or tablets!!!
the advantage of a narrow street ,that is between buildings/establishments is that one can have at least shade from the midmorning or afternoon sun,,as well a feeling of being walking in a friendly/welcoming setting!

Magnificent.....with my headphones on watching this video made me feel I'm literally in Cairo.....bravo
C’était un voyage incroyable. MERCI MILLE FOIS POUR CE BEAU TRAVAIL DE FILMER ❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much
Iam egyption and iam proud of my country
Welcom to egypt ❤
I've never seen you get so many greetings from local people. Great walk. Thank you.x
Did you hear that guy say, "This is the right place. I don't know what you're looking for but I have what you need." I thought that was pretty funny. Yeah, they were all very nice and welcoming. If you stop though to talk, it's hard to get away. They are all smooth talkers.
Hi
travel to egypt. people there are so nice. they will take good care of your wallet. they are all exceptional creatures.
Visiting Egypt was on my bucket list ever since I was a little girl. Thank you for bringing me one step closer. 🤗
at 44:35 you can see how the young boy refuses to take payment from the older women. A sign of respect in the middle-east.
I was wondering what was happening there! Thanks for letting us know 😊
Excellent video, great work. It made me feel like a tourist there. Thank you. Best regards from São Paulo, Brazil.
Thank you very much!

Next to unbelievable as it gets. I would love to visit this part of the city. I am sure there is so much more. Thanks for awakening my eyes and my thoughts.
Hey, you're very welcome. I've been there twice and am looking forward to going back again. Thanks for watching.
استمتعت جدا بالرحلة .. إنها مصر يا سادة
I love ur video very clear ,excellent...Im like Egypt...bcause it were the earliest civilization started..beautiful buildings...full of history...thank you very much...
Absolutamente maravilloso.
Thank you for this. I admire the walk you do plus the description of each site's history. Love to see more. One day Ill visit Cairo
Hey, glad you're enjoying the format. I hope to go back sometime this year.
love form Afghanistan ❤🇦🇫
Your camera did justice to the beautiful Islamic Architecture...I found myself going back to the video. The beauty of these Islamic Treasures are *_to die for_* And yes....I thought the man screaming at you: "Italia...Mafia!!" (was hilarious) Good for you, answering in Italian. Your video showed me so many things, that I did not see while I visited there, some years ago.
Wow😀 beautiful place if i were there then I went there daily for shopping love from India❤️

I’m truly loving these tours. The color and light is wonderful and the walk so fascinating. You are very disciplined and polite in turning down the shopkeepers. Love the fact text too. Keep them coming! -Henry 😀😀😀🌞🌊🌊🌊

Ok so what were the Pakistanis doing during Islamic golden age? What were their contributions to the Islamic civilization?
Thanks for taking the time to record all the activity.
Very well done.
Beautiful Country Egypt. Kind people.
Will love to visit Cairo
Both extremely interesting and SUPERB at the same time.
Thank you very much !!!
The biggest difference I noticed on your video from my visit, is back then there were no mobile/cell phones or tablets!!!
the advantage of a narrow street ,that is between buildings/establishments is that one can have at least shade from the midmorning or afternoon sun,,as well a feeling of being walking in a friendly/welcoming setting!
the streets/alleys are clean, no trash or scattered garbage ...
seem not to be walking through a market place, but through a museum!
what I like is the absence of obstructing billboards/neon signs
So interesting....thanks ProWalks..you never fail us!
Hi Lady Welcome
الشوارع نظيفه ماشالله على المصريين
