your title should have been "Unboxing - complete setup guide - Cura crash course included as bonus - every 3D type print demonstration" hands down one of the best review video seen so far, was going to ignore the video, glad I clicked it. enjoyed to the last second.
Dude... I'm not really into unboxing/setup/whatever videos. With that being said, this is one of the absolute most detailed and amazing video of this type that I have ever seen. I don't know if I will ever need to watch another one of your videos but this video was so good you have easily earned a subscription. Well done sir.... Well done...
I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate this video!!!!! This is my first printer, and I was so lost on the very first step, because it never said to push the horizontal bar up. And it didn't mention plugging in those Z-wires. The only thing I still struggled with was feeding the filament. I couldn't get it to go into the hole until I cut both sides into an arrow shape, then it went in.
HUGE thank you for this video! Your camera angle and detail were perfect for helping me get my Max Neo setup. I've got it printing the Benchy now as I post this and couldn't have done it without your help.
Agree. How's yours been treating you? I'm looking into buying one as it seems like a really solid beginners printer that can achieve really good results
Thank you, just set up my Max printer and did the boat first as its smaller. But used black filament which hindset, not a good ideal since you can't see the printing well. Note, IF YOU ARE IN UK, DO NOT PUT VOLTAGE TO 115, YOU WILL BLOW UP THE PSU. You need to put it as 240v. 115v is for USA and other countries with that voltage.
Fantastic content. You have taken me from a complete noob to having the confidence to crack on with my Neo. Thanks for such a detailed, well delivered guide.
Usually don’t comment, but felt you deserved it. I truly appreciate this video and the time you took to show step by step for someone as challenged as myself. You made someone’s day my man and I hope that makes your day knowing that👍🏼.
A huge thank you for this video. It was exactly what I needed to start with this printer (first one). Really appreciate the time and detail you put in.
Heads up ... I got a refurbished MAX NEO from the manufacturer. This video was a Godsend for me. I could not figure out why I could not level my bed properly. The suggestion of tightening the rollers gave me the idea to also check the hot end mount. It was hanging by one screw (I noticed that the nozzle was moving out of sync with the extruder). I tightened anything I found loose. Nice job on the production and many thanks !!!
This is a perfectly detailed video! Thanks so much sir for taking the time to do this. There are a lot of us that appreciate it! Keep up the good work :)
I watched this video, ordered one… followed this video step and step and boom… smoke coming out my printer and game over. When you switch your printer on you have to check your country voltage. As an amateur I just followed the steps in the video and changed the power on the printer to match this video. I wish in this video you said you was switching the power because of this… but this review and video is superb it helped me set up my printer, level it properly and it’s been on straight for 2 weeks already 🙌
You missed on adjusting the bed rollers but so did Creality. If you loosen all three eccentrics, you have three fixed wheels you would expect to be adjusted. Because of that geometry, if any one of the three is loose (as mine was), there is no position you can move to that will not result in at least one wheel that will be looser than the rest. Moving the angle of the bed will inevitably break contact with one as it tightens to the other. So I found the best way to adjust was loosen all the eccentrics, press the bed against the two fixed on one side. Now tighten the front and back eccentrics to provide equal pressure on all the front and back wheels. Now you can bring in the middle concentric to just contact the rail. Ignore the middle fixed wheel being loose. I spent about 15 minutes trying to get equal pressure before I drew it out on a piece of paper and realized I was trying the impossible. Only real solution would be replacing the middle fixed with an excentric. Aside from that it was a great video and helped me in getting this thing set up.
This is one of the best review / instructional videos I have ever watched on any subject. Awesome work my friend, thank you very much for your time and effort making it, it has been a tremendous help.
I'm not much for unboxing videos but because this printer will be my introduction into 3D printing I decided to watch and I am so glad I did. You do an excellent job and I am going to feel a ton more comfortable with the printer because of it. The only constructive criticism I would make is that when you talk about the bed cooling you never give an actual time but this is definitely a nit pick on my part that I'm only making because viewers, especially newbies like me, hang on every word and the more specific you can be in describing something the better. Again that is just a nit pick as I found the video to be absolutely excellent. Thanks very much.
@@OganySupreme I love it. I set it up, printed ONLY the little rabbit that you're supposed to print to make sure it's working and after that I've just been printing stuff I draw in TinkerCAD, modify in TinkerCAD or find online. I have printed dozens and dozens of things and so far it hasn't missed a beat. The only complaint I would have is not really a complaint but a reality of the machine that one just has to accept. Because of the type of bed that it has it takes a while to cool down and only then can (or at least, should you) remove the print. I see where people don't like how long it takes to cool down but the benefit is that I haven't dealt, even a single time, with any issue related to something not sticking or sticking too much. IOW, let it do what it wants to do and it just works. I don't go crazy and I don't clean it after every print but every so many prints I just give it a simple cleaning and print. I hope this information is helpful to you.
@@firstthes2811 Thank you! What's been making me nervous is that there's a bunch of people online that report huge issues with this printer. They report the printer not leaving the home screen, working for a couple hours and then all of the sudden dying, it only works with certain filaments or types of PLA, etc. It's been making me nervous to buy one but it is by far the best deal for the features you get as of right now. Currently trying to upgrade from my old Ender 3, maybe I'll get this one, still not 100%.

thank you so much for making this video. i followed along to your video setting mine up, and my first benchy came out perfect. i was nervous on whether the adjustments for the bearings below the bed or my z offset were actually correct but everything turned out well. my z offset ended up being -2.90!

I did the opposite. I live in the US and my printer came set on 220. I couldn't figure out why it kept shutting off when I tried to preheat until I was checking wires and found that switch on the back. 😂

I think it’s also important to remember that messing up is part of 3d printing! There are times when you may not be able to get it right but that is completely fine because that’s how it works. You just have to keep adjusting until you find what works the best!
@@SenseiNoyng yeah tbh I spoke too soon rofl! The last bit of my benchy keeps failing right after the arches it knocks it off the bed by actually hitting it. Thank you for putting together a very comprehensive "Getting Started". Super helpful. Still have a question. I tried to print the Benji twice and in 20 min or so it's getting dislodged from the table :( Any settings I can adjust ? Thanks!
This video is just what I needed never used a 3d printer and this is pretty good information since this is the exact printer I'm looking at can't spring for the 5 max but wanted something bigger than the ender 3 so shooting at this in between. The max neo already has dual z and cr touch and can't remember if the max has the glass bed but since the neo does by the time I would buy the upgrades I would probably be close to the $100 difference so why not get one already done. Only wish it had dual extruders or at least the board for it, wish creality had a custom order build kit option available. Will check out your other videos you may have another subscriber since I need to learn how to actually use them not just purchase someone else's programs I am buying it to hopefully make custom parts inside custom cars for my Son
How does it just print on the that glass bed. My ender 3 max regular with bl touch. Never works on i have to use glue stick evrry print. Havent tried hair spray yet. No matter if i clean it with 70% or 90% alcohol it wont stick. Ill even have initial layer so low that it doesnt extrude because its too close. And still doesnt stick. Ive tried backing off. Is it just poor qc and i need to try a new bed with that dot matrix on it?
I have a problem that shortly after the first layer gets printed on the rabbit when it starts working on the middle part, I think the melted plastic is cooling down too fast and therefore ends up detaching and getting knocked around by the nozzle. Does that mean I need to increase, the bed heat up further than 60?!
Thanks for a very defined video. I'm new at this, first printer, and I seem to have a problem. I follow your instructions to where Z comes down. That is where mine stops, and screen states.Homing Fail...Where do I go from here? THANKS.
I had ghosting and vibration on my Org max and what I did was go to 42-40 or was it 40-42 anyway it seemed to fix that small problem.I think the bigger motors smoothed it out
Love the video and really help me set up the printer for use Do you know if there is a way to switch sd cards and initiate the card without having to reboot the printer each time?
OK, I finally received a new printer. Yes that one was defective. BUT , now a new problem. Following your instructions, when I insert the micro card and push print; all i get is ''back'''. NO FILE. So what's my next step? THANKS/.
Thanks for the video! The only thing that would be nice if you had mentioned is that leveling the bed manually might causes a lot of scratches on the glass (mine scratched a lot) :(
Same, I didn't understand what the paper was for at first! So I was foolish and thought I could get by without it, I got some nice square etchings on my plate now! But the print is going super well!
Great review! Creality is doing the same thing here as I saw on another of their printers though, probably the Ender 3 V2: the plate that covers the power supply has holes for the fan but the vents on the power supply are completely covered, causing the warm air to be recycled back toward the fan. The reviewer cute the plate in half to expose more of the power supply for air flow, maybe some slots to line up with the ones in the power supply could be added?
Can you recommend a brand of clear PLA for the Creality Ender 3 Max Neo? I'm kind of overwhelmed, and reading that some brands of clear PLA clog or gave issues.
Awesome video! My only question is...do you have to go through the setup process every time you shut down the printer, or for a new print?? ie... leveling, z offset..etc.etc. Thanks!
This was a great video until at 10:20 you told 100% of viewers to switch the voltage to 115v. This video is the top search result for set-up in the UK, and presumably in many other 230v countries. Many (particularly younger) viewers may not be aware that switching to 115v will blow their PSU up in 220-240v countries. You need to qualify the statement that "we" must switch to 115v.
is the gold like clamp on the z axis bar ment to be slightly loose? like i lift the side where the filament goes by like 1mm. i cant seem to adjust it so it goes tight like the other side
did you notice if the gantry middle bar with the hotend on was offset on the right side. i am looking at mine followed your guide for setup and done my first print however it looks as if my bar across the middle is slightly off on the right side by like 2-3mm its defiantly not straight.
Very nice and usefull description. This is 3D Max Neo... it is copied and updated after 3D Max which has 300x300x340 mm... so it is possible that 3D Max Neo can also print up to 340 mm. Change its parameters and see if it works.. and tell us to know. Thank you.
Not complaining but can you say for US user switch to the new 110 and rest of the country people to check the output current please, I blindly followed your setup steps without watching it first and do my research how to set it up, like I said some of the people like me just follow the video and start the setup coz they are curious. Anyway I live in Uk and 110 is not the option, I learned it when it started smoking lol
Tried to print a 3dbenchy with the settings from the video and all the infill and detail disappeared from the model when slicing. This turned my first couple prints into a spaghettified mess.
So anyone care to tell me or help me understand the voltage thing? Didnt really explain thatbin the video, how do you know if you have to? Why is there two options, etc.

Same, I didn't understand what the paper was for at first! So I was foolish and thought I could get by without it, I got some nice square etchings on my plate now! But the print is going super well!
Thanks for your reviews!
Y did you skip the peel😔😔
I just received this same printer, but I'm not able to get the upright screws to go all the in, did you have any problems with this?
Great review! Creality is doing the same thing here as I saw on another of their printers though, probably the Ender 3 V2: the plate that covers the power supply has holes for the fan but the vents on the power supply are completely covered, causing the warm air to be recycled back toward the fan. The reviewer cute the plate in half to expose more of the power supply for air flow, maybe some slots to line up with the ones in the power supply could be added?
Just a question: would you recommend a PEI sheet for this printer?
Are there any better preference setting or are his literally perfect?
Can you recommend a brand of clear PLA for the Creality Ender 3 Max Neo? I'm kind of overwhelmed, and reading that some brands of clear PLA clog or gave issues.
Can you provide links to the models you used in the video review? Thanks!
Hi, do you have the firmware for the tender 3 max neo with the included LA?
Awesome video! My only question is...do you have to go through the setup process every time you shut down the printer, or for a new print?? ie... leveling, z offset..etc.etc. Thanks!
No, just once and then occasionally if needed.
Excellent. Thanks so much!
Do I need a pc or can I get by with a smartphone?
hey bro , im trying to use your code ok but i couldnt find the printer on temu its just part pls can you help me ?
did you notice if the gantry middle bar with the hotend on was offset on the right side.
i am looking at mine followed your guide for setup and done my first print however it looks as if my bar across the middle is slightly off on the right side by like 2-3mm its defiantly not straight.
This should help: ruclips.net/video/eCfhJT434GY/видео.html
@@JustVlads top man cheers for this appreciated
@@JustVlads do you have a profile your using for the neo max
what would you say is a better deal ender 3 max or 3 max neo comparing the price and performance? is it worth the upgrade?
Love your reviews 🙂
this is my next printer..! 😇
Very nice and usefull description.
This is 3D Max Neo... it is copied and updated after 3D Max which has 300x300x340 mm... so it is possible that 3D Max Neo can also print up to 340 mm. Change its parameters and see if it works.. and tell us to know. Thank you.
Did you find anywhere that sells the silicone sock for this one?
Why won't the control panel read my card,I put it in a laptop and the files are there but nothing shows up on the control panel??
Not complaining but can you say for US user switch to the new 110 and rest of the country people to check the output current please, I blindly followed your setup steps without watching it first and do my research how to set it up, like I said some of the people like me just follow the video and start the setup coz they are curious. Anyway I live in Uk and 110 is not the option, I learned it when it started smoking lol
I just got one and i cant get it to print correctly. I have an Ender 3 v2 that works perfectly but this new one i cant get to start a decent print
My fans go on as soon as I turn it on. Is that correct?
awesome video, thank you!!!
Squirtle = squirrel + turtle? I mean…. I never thought of it like that before hahaha
It went from dusl 4010 fans design who was amazing to an ender 3 style single side fan.....
Max neo or ender 3 S1?
Tried to print a 3dbenchy with the settings from the video and all the infill and detail disappeared from the model when slicing. This turned my first couple prints into a spaghettified mess.
So anyone care to tell me or help me understand the voltage thing? Didnt really explain thatbin the video, how do you know if you have to? Why is there two options, etc.
230 is for europe and such, 115 is for the USA
Is it abs or pla
