  • How SMART really is Godzilla? We’ve seen him range from a lumbering dumb whale unintentionally crashing through buildings, to recognising humans, to even shaking hands with giant robots.
Today we’re going to break down how intelligent his titan really is, by analysing his problem solving, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and more, to come to a conclusion on whether he really is the king of the monsters, when it comes to the brains. Join us today, at DangerVille!

Godzilla had already proven to be very smart in Godzilla 2014, where he figured out the attacks from the Mutos and used his tail to his advantage, but after watching dodge kong's axe multiple times, hitting kong with the atomic breath and laughing and firing his breath on kong's axe towards the end of the battle with mechagodzilla. That itself proved that Godzilla is extremely strategic and smart

Keep in mind Godzilla goes out his way to avoid causing Floods when he surfaces. The first time he surfaced caused so much damage.. however the next time he reaches the surface while swimming he slows down and he goes out of his way to avoid bumping into ships while he was Chasing the Muto. So it's clear that he doesn't want to cause unnecessary damage or harm the humans.. for him to attack humans he would have to be Already In Very agitated state and even then he would only attack if they insist On antagonizing him.

I always joke during Godzilla 2014 that he's very polite when he dove under the aircraft carrier in Honolulu and very carefully surfaced in San Francisco Bay, both to prevent a tidal wave and to gently push the blockade of ships aside. He's not one for needless destruction. A majority of the damage he causes is collateral at best and unavoidable due to his size and fighting style but he doesn't go out of his way to waste energy if he doesn't need to.
Now, he did cause a tsunami when he surfaced in Hawaii but he had the presence of mind to not repeat that a second time.
And I dun care what others say, in KOTM when he locked eyes with Mark during both encounters, those two made a connection. And really, I think Mark was my favorite human character in any of the films. He has understandable reasons for hating Godzilla but he wasn't blinded by it and was willing to set it aside when Ghidorah proved to be the greater threat. The fact he didn't relish in Goji's near-death via the Oxygen Destroyer seemed two-fold. For one thing, it was completely ineffective against King Space Dragon and even Mark recognized that of the two, he's the greater evil. For another, he may have wanted Godzilla killed at the start of the movie but by the time the Destroyer was used, he seemed to have warmed up to Goji just a little without realizing it. Probably because he realized his anger was misplaced. Goji was the only one to walk away from the fight in 2014 so he was the only one Mark had to hate but in the end, collateral damage was what killed Andrew. Goji didn't actively cause it and it was just as likely that the Mutos were the ones who caused the kid's death somehow.

i can speak for the other versions-
1954- dont knnow much he did seek revenge for the death of his family members but that isnt special as many reptiles have been shown to mourn the death of their family members. so pobably average intelligence.
showa- almost human intelligence. is undenibly and super easily the smartest goji in existence he can use tools cooperates with other monsters lives in an island where just everyone is his friend acted like a dumbo for the first few movies but became *smort* by the end of ghidorah the three headed monster(1964) he adopted a son and ACTUAALLY cared for him and insed of leaving him behind he HUGGED HIM AND HIBERNTED ON THAT SPOT WITH HIS SON proofing he really is super intelligent in just all levels of intelligence.
heisei- also very intelligent has psychic relationship with his son just like showa, cares a lot about his son can recognise humans and has great motor skills
zilla- pretty smart for an animal. lowered his temperature to avoid being detected by thermal cameras.
      1999-2000 - average intelligence
2001- is possessed by human souls so is probably as smart as a human and ABSOLUTELY LOVES to cause destruction and pain he knows everything he is doing
2002-2003 - average. relies on instinct like most animals
2004- average. but does unerstand emotions
legendary- already told in the video so no need to say again
shin- all adaptations he did were automatically done by his body kinda like instinctual but in the final act he exactly knew what he is doing and learnt from his previous act. but they did say he was almost as smart as a human in the movie so ok? i mean theyre not wrong the 'who will know' song is what he thinks the lyrics suggest that he has emotions like a human. so yeah he also joins the SMORT gang along with showa heisei and MV
earth- idk man hes kinda like 2001. he LOVES causing pain especially to humans(likely because we really messe up our own earth) his eyes turn blue when happy so he is emotionally intelligent and also terraformed the earth the way he wants and even after 20,000 years of fun he had he still didnt forgot humans and was violent against them so good memory too. so i will say he is as smort has legendary.
singular point- idk man probably he is like millenium in intelligence

The Problem Solving portion irked me. He wasn’t systematically attacking APEX facilities because he knew they were building Mecha G. It was ONLY when Apex activated Ghidorahs psychic energy which attracted Godzilla. He destroyed the facility as anyone would to eliminate the threat. Sure, you could say he’s only addressing the problem in a direct way but it is the most effective. You should see if there is a problem that doesn’t require a fight instead of that one.
Also, I don’t think Godzilla would be keen on using his dead ancestors remains as a weapon. Especially since what makes the weapon dangerous is something he already has. Why build weapon when you ARE the ultimate weapon, I feel like that’s how he would see it. He understands things but isn’t required to build because he is raw power itself. Intelligence should be more measured to how an organism excels in their ecosystem. Godzilla has lives a long time and remained King and is the last of kind. I would say 8/10 at the very least.

Godzilla knows exactly how to use his hands. Due to being a creature with claws instead of nails making a fist would cause him to stab his own hands also would mean that he’s not using one of his strongest natural attacks. Creature with claws swat because they’re fingers are basically knifes. Creatures with nails make fist because nails act as bracers that let you use more force in a punch and since they aren’t long sharp object you won’t hurt yourself making a fist. Basically besides not being able to throw a punch, it’d be dumb to do even if he could since it would both hurt him and be far weaker than a claw slap

Plot armor did not save kong from getting his ass handed to him by Godzillla. And that was after Godzilla bored through the crust of the planet down to the hollow Earth. Well, considering how long he’s lived and how many threats he’s likely confronted throughout his life, Godzilla would obviously be a creature who’s more than able to figure out ways to turn the tables on his enemies. And since he lives in a time where humans have established various settlements, he clearly knows how to recognize those who benefit the planet’s safety, while simultaneously punishing humans who selfishly exploit or try to change the world to suit their ambitions, something which Godzilla will not allow to happen.
While Muto Prime, Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla may be the most threatening monsters that Godzilla has had to contend with, he will always know of humans who pose a greater threat to the natural order than any monster.

When dangerville says in the motor skills part when mechagodzilla is quicker, thats because godzilla is bigger both in size and in mass while mechagodzilla was buillt to be lighter than him to be faster and more agile. Also zilla swips becuase he has claws and closing his fists would scratch his palms, , punching wouldnt cause as much harm as swiping for his claws would break skin causing more damage. just thought to point that out.

Why would Godzilla need to learn how to use tools when his atomic breath is more effective than any rock or ax. I also think Godzilla did not use the ax against Kong because of his own pride and the fact that the weapon is made out of his own kind which is the reason why he was so mad when Kong used it. The weapon was disrespectful to not only him but his fall kind. Also Kong would have done the same destroying Apex building when it came to problem solving. There not much else they could’ve done. The fact that the teamwork between Godzilla using his atomic breath to charge the axe so Kong could actually slice through MechaGodzilla tells me that this is significantly lower than his actual intelligence. We need to use ALL of the times where he used his intelligence, not just a few impulsive, cherry picked moments. Godzilla saw the fight between Kong and the Mech and realized that without his atomic energy, Kong wouldn't be able to cut through the Mechs armor. That makes him a LOT smarter than this gives him credit for.

    #DangerVille
I would have given Godzilla a Point Higher in critical thinking.
    Reason:
In Godzilla VS Kong when Godzilla realized that Kong was helping him defeat MechaG, Godzilla used his Atomic Breath to power up Kong's axe giving a possible enemy and rival another chance at killing him but choosing to assist the natural title over the machine one. I would give him a .5 for that. At the End Godzilla made a head motion looking at his axe. Telling Kong. Drop it, or we go into sudden death round. That is worth another .5 for a Total of a full point.

    • @SabaKhan-oz6yo
      @SabaKhan-oz6yo 2 года назад

    • @tikedaniels4934
      @tikedaniels4934 2 года назад

I agree with everything except it wouldn’t have been a sudden death match. Godzilla dominated Kong the entire movie. If Alex Scarsgard didn’t say “I guess round 2 goes to Kong” the audience would not have seen that as round two. They both were knocked back by the impact and Big G got up moments later and clearly continued to whoop Kongs ass. So while I count that entire fight as one fight or round, one can say once Godzilla got up and beat Kong, that was round three, so he’d be up 2rds to 1.

I feel like dangervile to an extent is downplaying Godzillas intelligence a little bit and didn't even use the comics or anything like that which is btw Canon to the monsterverse. If I remember correctly he completely understand how tools work. For one example, Godzilla knew how the mechanics of how Kongs axe worked, so he purposely aimed at it so that Kong can get the killing blow on Mechagodzilla. Also, in Godzilla dominion, Godzilla completely understood how humans weaponry worked. He even attempted to stop Scylla who just wanted pure radiation from the humans off of nukes they made, but Godzilla who's exhausted and weakened after the fight with Ghidorah stopped Scylla from doing that. Godzilla is even smart enough to not be desperate for radiation and shows really good leadership skills we haven't really gotten to see in a long time. He can control the Titans and simply tells them to go to sleep as waking up will cause problems with earth and danger even humans to an extent. Godzilla dominion shows Godzilla as the narrator himself and he himself states that he knows who serizawa is and considers humans just as important as some of the Earth's environment bc of the fact that serizawa saved him. Even Godzillas emotional intelligence is being neglected. When mothra died right in front of Godzilla, Godzilla cried and also mourned in pain which show's some sense of empathy which actually arguably makes Godzilla a lot more emotionally smarter than what this video has said.

You missed a lot of info. The novelizations and graphic novels give us more insight into godzillas mind and just how smart he actually is. You kinda underestimated godzilla over here, this man somehow knows philosophy and ecology without ever learning about them in a conventional way while also recognizeing that humans attack him out of fear and thus not attacking him. You also messed up info, for instance in saying godzilla doesn't know how to use tools or how mecha godzilla over powered him.

I allready pointed this out in a diffrent comment but godzillas hands are webbed, with small fingers and basic thumps and short lenght, those hands on fist glance would seem to suggest that godzilla could make tools if smart enough but that would be false. He simply lacks dexterity to make stuff like actual tools and the structure to deliver proper punches so he fights more animal-like.

One thing to add -- there were studies done on the intelligence of common crows, and they noticed that one or two of them actually used tools. However, they were unable to deduce the intelligence of the other larger crows when they came along and STOLE the food that the smaller crows had used tools to retrieve. So in summary, Godzilla may be much more intelligent, he just chooses to use his power because it's almost always enough. He's probably arrogant, though, thinking he can do anything :)

but I never think of Godzilla as math smart just experience smart as well as battle smart as that the only Godzilla's I think could be math smart I probably characters like shin Ultima or Earth but they're so big and powerful that they don't need that and it's usually because of their powers that they're even able to achieve said intelligence only if it's ever needed.
