      This phone is terrible system update causes the Bluetooth to disconnect on its own then you lose connection the letter e comes up so I have to turn the phone off then reset it to have connection as I was in the middle of writing this review it happened again I never switched my service provider so it's definitely the phone

      I own a 5G version with the new Exynos 1330 SOC, not the Dimensity version. Obtained over 400k score on Antutu, give me a huge surprise since the Dimensity score is about 300k. Is a very good phone for $200, indeed. Nice vídeo!!

      Nothing but piece of
      shit! Turns off randomly
      all day long. Bluetooth
      just randomly unpaired
      while using. Videos are

      reject phone Samsung
      gives away free if you
      change providers. Then..
      THEN! if you pay more

    I think buying a budget phone is the new way to go. Ppl are tired of these outrageous flagship prices.

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  11 месяцев назад +30

      Yeah it always depends on the person. I tend to prefer phones like the Pixel 7 that I can buy for like $300 to $400 used. It's close enough to flagship. Some people prefer new budget phones and some prefer better phones. Depends on the person. But I will say way too many people spend money they don't have

    • @sabrinamerrick1271
      @sabrinamerrick1271 11 месяцев назад +14

      @AndroidDigest agree.
      1k for a phone. I'd rather spend that kind of money on a tablet. But it all winds down to how a person plans to use their device. It's my understanding that ppl are using phones to make pro videos and professional quality photos.
      I enjoy and get excited about technology.
      That's why I enjoy your channel. You showcase a wide gamut of products/price points

      Both ends of the spectrum (high end and budget) are getting better and better cuz the market itself is getting better. Soon the difference between the $200 and $2000 phones will be overly dramaticized and in reality almost nonexistent. I'm loving it! 😅. Why drop 1K on a phone I'll break when I can buy 5 for that price?! 🤔

My choice for it was mainly because of the nfc, my previous one didn't have it. Decent battery, and it goes well since i don't do excessive stuff on it. Nice review.

    I happen to bought Samsung A22 5G back in early 2022 for video call pandemic situation. I did not expect to much, but I noticed the battery life is excellent with Dimensity 700 & 5000mAh. The camera was bad on the first 8 month, but 2 Android updates later it got better. With some 3rd party camera app I can get a better even RAW support. Apart of the absent of NCF this phone is really good.

    Thanks for the review, it really helps as I got mine a month ago, because the price was right and I thought I didn't mind slower speed, but it's taking some time getting used to it. I was surprised that it had the phone jack since I really like it and I didn't even remember to check for that when I bought it. I don't know why everyone says it's 200 dollars, I bought it for 325 plus 13% tax in Ontario, Canada, but the folks at the store threw in a charger plug, a glass screen cover and a case, so I guess that covers the difference. I'm still getting used to it, but thanks your review and the other folks comments, I think I made a right choice.

    I'm in the UK and bought an A14 LTE 4G, which was a drop down from my S20's capabilities, but the screen failed on the S20 and an S23 is out of my price range.
    The only problem no NFC, I'm returning the A14 LTE and have ordered the A14 5G for a £125.00. This is because I found the A14 a nice phone to use all be it a budget phone.
    Also as I have had to buy a phone as I no longer have a contract with EE the price is great for what you get, looking forward to having 5G again and NFC.
    Great review.

    Great review, I'm thinking of getting an A14 5g now. I was just wondering how many apps/browser tabs can you open before they start refreshing? I hear some people say 4gb ram isn't enough now, so I just wanted to know what to expect with 4gb ram. Thanks very much.

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  10 месяцев назад +4

      Hmm.. It's been awhile since I used it, a couple of months and don't have it in front of me. Maybe 4 apps or so? Could be more or less depending on how intense things are. Realistically I didn't notice too much reloading, but it depends on what you're used to I guess. But it felt like a $300 to $500 mid-ranger to me as far as speed.

I'm loving the UI 5.1. Everything just works, and smoothly. When the time comes, I will probably stick with Samsung. I would like to get some water resistance ... It's very depressing to run find-my-phone and the washing machine starts to ring. To Apple's credit, the SE came through the wash just fine.

    Went to a new carrier but needed a phone. Went from a S20+5g to the A14 5G. The only thing is the speaker is a little bit less quality. Do you listen to you speaker alot?? I don't unless I in a jam. The phone jack and being able to spend $20 for 512G more memory for movies on plane trips was GREAT!! I would say the bump up to a S20 or more is just not worth it unless your a professional phone photographer or a 5 or 6 app multitasker somehow. I even found an app to get always on display to keep the time on at all times. Used a magnet wireless charger to solve the no wireless charging issue. Taking a cord in and out will ruin a phone over time.

    Let me tell you I bought this phone like a month ago and I am all good with it, it does the exact same thing like flagship but just a 2 notches down in terms of everything, like the camera, speed, speakers you get the point. But losing a 1000 dollar phone and buying one again? Nha, the 200 dollar phone works just fine and in case you lose it or something happens to it you don't need to feel bad. Only thing I would nitpick is the phone could've come with wireless charging and water resistant.

    • @AndroidDigest
      @AndroidDigest  9 месяцев назад +1

      For sure. I think the camera is a big thing, and the speaker being a little weaker, other than that, very good, especially for $200.

    I paid £100 UK last month with a case & charger for the Samsung A14. I still use my Samsung A10. I've had no problems with it in 4 years & the camera + sound is better. That cost me £80 2nd hand from Ebay. Wasting money on tech shows how some folks abuse their worth. Save & enjoy life!

    Been looking for a new budget phone. The only things I want are: can make calls, expandable storage, improved performance over current phone, accesses internet.
    Don't care for the camera, don't need long battery life, not gonna use it to play intense games.
    Currently I've got a 6 year old phone that's been put through hot and cold. The battery rarely charges over 88%, sometimes it turns itself off, and usually it takes minutes to open apps (if it does) or even the Google search bar.
    The thing has some life left in it, but it'll be another year or two of struggling to breathe before it poofs.
    Saw an A34 and A14 at a store and was very interested.

    Seriously thinking of nabbing up the tracfone version for only like $89 bucks brand new on amazon. In my mid 30s now, I really just message, do some social media, browse online, youtube, check email, occasional call, and take the occasional cat pic. Been using a 2nd gen Iphone SE 2020 that I got on carrier discount cheap nearly 2 years ago, the battery was never great though and is pretty bad these days. I find the iphone's smaller screen pretty cramped to type on too as a grown man. And non immersive for consuming media. My sister has a little older Galaxy A32 5G with a similar Dimensity 700 cpu and in irl usage, with the animation speeds and stuff set to 0.5x in the android developer options, it's VERY smooth. Samsung has really stepped up their game and promise to support even these budget phones with several OS updates and years of security updates too. I actually really value having a headphone jack and sd card too. When I was in my 20s for a period of time I felt like I was "left out" not having top of the line specs, but then I sat down and thought, realistically, what do I actually do on a day to day basis with a phone. Trying to keep up with the Jones' is also an endless money pit. Especially with this inflation economy these days, I just genuinely can't justify spending an arm and a leg on a phone, I'm pretty frugal by nature, I even still have a 90s vehicle for point A to B driving that's still very reliable.

    The most I've ever spent on a phone is $700 and I regret it. Now I jumped to the A14 5g from the S21. I don't care what it feels like since I put a case on my phones. It is just a bit slower than my S21. I'll see if the A14 can edit 2k videos, which the S21 can. But I can always just use the S21 for that reason. Al I know is that I'm NEVER spending $700 or more for just a damn phone. I'm done! My A14 was free through Metro. Plus metro is cheaper than Tmobile. I just don't watch videos in HD since Metro is slower than Tmobile. And I only use 4G. 5G uses too much battery and too much refresh rate. I even did that with my S21 and Tmobile. $1k for a phone is INSANE. Thanks for the video. Subscribed.
