In this video i share some key scriptural examples of how to prepare for family and friends treating you differently or turning against you when you become a believer and start visibly drawing closer to God.
I am the same exact way. I legit feel like I have no one. My family even has distancing themselves from me…and that hurt the most. I’ve cried myself to sleep most nights. But I think it shows that no man or human on earth regardless if they are your best friend or family, they can leave you and just disappear. But not Jesus.. he is so patient and graceful, he will always be there and never leave.
I've always been a loner but now it feels like doing myself right is leading to losing everyone. I just hope I'm going right with God. Jesus is for all of us.
This verse gave me so my comfort when my family was calling me crazy. In maturity I learned the power of silence to unbelievers. I learned God has a time and place to minister to people who hearts are open to Him.
I have lost many friends in speaking about Jesus and my experiences as I walk out my faith. Its hard. I feel lkke a failure at times. I trust it will be worth it.
When people become hypocritical and use their religion to condemn others, that’s typically when people turn away from them. Overly proselytizing comes across as wagging fingers and judging others, especially if that person was very different in the past. We are all sinners, even those of us who Believe, no one is perfect. It’s the ones who claim to be perfect, sinless and who mock and condemn others that people want nothing to do with.
I just had this happen to me today. Friendship of 12 years done and I was accused of being aggressive/intolerant and even that I was of "the devil". Please pray for me during this time
So true. My family trys to mess up my sobriety and walk with God. God reveals the true intentions of those around you. Its better to just accept that they are of the devil in my case and stay away from them.
my mother and brother and sisters disowned me when I was commissioned by Christ... they are Mormons and now I've learned they have been talking with my son, my only child, and telling him evil lies about me and he has turned his back on me. It all feels very surreal, to lose my family. I have two young granddaughters and it feels like I've lost them too. I'm really struggling right now and I needed to hear this message... I'm going to pick myself back up and keep my heart focused on Christ, faithful that I will find my Christian family someday and until then God will provide all that I need (like the message in this video)
I just lost my family, over it, I told them about god did I do something wrong, I said God is real his kindom is coming, pray I was told I was pushy, if I am wrong it's OK I will understand, 😕🙁 I just feel so upset right now I was told I need to acsept all beliefs. I love people no matter what but because I love my family I want them to know God
Sawa kiwi as my video states, you have gained a whole new family as a believer. But your family like you, have to make a free choice about God. We cannot force them! Just as you were able to make a conscious decision of God, you have knowledge, God can get messages to those who do not believe in him. Your family are no different. God wants them, more than you can ever imagine, but he lets them choose. Feel free to comment again, join me on livestreams as I answer Bible based questions, or shoot an email to me (email on about channel page). Hope this helps...
Hello thanks for sharing this video. I left all my friends and moved to another country 11 years ago and just disconnected with all of them over the years. And even the people that I thought would be my friends here I find that they are actually irritated by my walk with the Lord and everyone I get together with them, it becomes a sport for them to either engage in things and partake in a lifestyle that I am actively leaving behind or I sense I kind of resentful hunger in them to get me to see myself less than what I actually am in Christ. In other words, one by one, all I thought were friendships became a thorn in my side that I had to pluck out. At first there was a panic but soon, I discovered, the LORD is my best friend and I am my other good friend to myself and some other people in the Bidy of Christ start showing up slowly but surely and it is not that bad after all...in fact it was a huge relief to not have to stay in that unspoken psychological and spiritual tension with folks who are not necessarily rejecting you but rejecting the Spirit of Christ in you. So my experience in this tells me...1) never take it personally 2)separation is actually a good thing 3) God is faithful to replace all that you have lost with something more healthy, real and beautiful (Matthew 19:29) Be of Good Courage beloved children of YAH!
Please pray for my husband who came to Christ this year and is seeing that being a Christian is a lonely path. His none Christian dad is distancing himself from him which hurts him emotionally..

So because you are different believers this will cause tension. Make sure you pray for God's leading in the conversations you have, and do not force your beliefs on others. @@InThyWord excellent advice! 👏 we have to follow the Holy Spirit's prompting when we minister and not our flesh or ego which ends up provoking others and enbittering them even more and hardening their hearts towards God. Yes forgive. You are not obligated to deal with them but it would be best if possible to deal. And not just deal at holidays. Especially keep them in prayers. God answers if you pray Biblically.

@@InThyWord Thank you so much. I’m very appreciative. I’m going to go watch your livestream now! I prayed to God on my situation, and I came to the realization that family is very important. I forgave them because I know that the lord forgives me when I’m wrong, but I’ve also decided to set positive boundaries.
