Hear me out. I’d call it something like “Cam-hero” since you’re it’s Hero and saving it! Nice it came with the floor pans and extra parts. That’s a great start.
I'd call it "mine". 🤣Looks like a fun project even with the floor pan sheetmetal work you have ahead of you. The only problem I see will be living up to everyone else's expectations. People get weird around these more popular cars when they see other folks doing things they don't "approve" of. Brings back memories of my first project that I hauled home from central Georgia near Forsyth. The trip and the comments from folks who saw it on the trailer made the effort worth it.
Fine.....I subscribed. Lol Can't wait to see how it goes. I have a 69RS that I bought off a high school friend and stuck in my parents' barn. I thank God that I've held onto it.
Hey bud! Brings back some memories. I bought one just like it in 1988 and it was a puss case also. Mine had a running motor/4 speed but there wasnt a panel on or in that car that wasnt rusted out. Bought from original owner for $500 and worked on it four years and almost gave it away. 😢
I bought a 68' Camaro almost 3 years ago. I have over 25k in parts. I also had to put in new trunk, roof skin and floor, Once the pieces start going in your going to want to finish it ! "Ginger". Name for ur car. All the red that showing on it !
A friend of mine sold a 69' camaro that resembled the same one( but it's not it) to a gentleman in waycross,ga some years ago and he forgot the guy's name and contact info. I was thinking maybe this gentleman may possibly know the whereabouts of my friends 69' camaro in Waycross, ga. By the way your project looks promising. Happy building!
Diamond in the rough, save her and breath life back into her I've had 2 69 camaros,I just can't seem to find any in Northeast Florida, call her blue on black ,blue car on black top,or how about blue by you, of course thats if you paint her back original blue ,I like the white stripe to,its going to be a cool addition to the garage.
Hey there! We’ve decided we’re going to with sort of a “variation” of your idea. If you email me your address I have something for you! My email can be found on the channel about page or in the video description. Thanks again!
That car has Bobby Jo written all over it , When i see it it reminds me of that girl in high school that was kinda pretty but now after numerous men have had her and shes a weekend alcoholic shes kinda rough
@@hammersgarage it's not quite dust yet lol but the whole bottom of the car is rusted out and the seats are so bad they're down to the metal and springs I don't know how long it's been sitting but I wouldn't mind getting it out of there if I had the money and knew who owned it
Hey internet cowboy you pointed to the totally wrong area for the vacuum line penetrations in the firewall. You don't even know the important points to show on film. I have obsessed and owned 31 Camaros since 1979 in high school. It's all i know, my first love. I left all the other cars to everyone else. Now I can not even afford a project because of stupid people like this who are in it solely for the money and not the love. I can't help but think about all the people you fked over in life to get to where you are today. Karma is an unavoidable beatch though.
Love the road trip, I remember the same feeling the day I brought my baby home!! 50 Plus should be her name, she’s got history!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, hope you will share also! Thanks for watching and thanks for the name idea!
The wheels are weld wheels made by Craiger. I sold the car to the person Issac brought it from. It came from Girard, Ga.not Waynesboro.
WTF is a "Craiger". Dumarse comment.
Gotta love a 1969 Camaro!
That's a cool find. Already has some go fast parts on it, got really lucky with the 12 bolt. The wheels are Welds, just have Cragar center caps.
I'd call it 'IRA', because that is where all my money would be spent! Congrats on the new project. Looking forward to this series.
Lol…thanks, and thanks for watching!
Like most projects you might end up calling it "Money Pit". But unlike many project cars finished 69 Camaros are like gold... Enjoy the journey!
You got a gem. I hope you do a series on the restoration!
Doing a series, just not sure I’d call it a “restoration”.
A feller can't help but to be a little jealous 😢😢😢 that's my dream car right there... ❤❤❤ she's gonna be a bute clark 🎉
glad you like it
1969 Camaro has that rear quarter panel line that pop's!!!! Beauty :-) 1966 Chevelle is my dream 60's car. Maybe one day 🤞 Cheers Hammer 👏
Thanks, and thanks for watching!

I hear ya! Thanks for watching!
You are 100% correct about those ketchup packs, I’m always saying the same thing. 69 looks like a cool project, show it some love.
Good Luck !! Long road ahead. I have a 1969 Camaro but it was much better when I started it was a roller as well. It will be worth it in the end.
I'd call it "mine". 🤣Looks like a fun project even with the floor pan sheetmetal work you have ahead of you. The only problem I see will be living up to everyone else's expectations. People get weird around these more popular cars when they see other folks doing things they don't "approve" of.

I hear you, except I don't care about other folks expectations. My rig, my way.
@@hammersgarage - I agree 💯 %

Will do, thanks!
congrats on the find! how about "Sir Six a lot"
Lol…if you mean “Sir Sux A lot” then I like it! Thanks for watching!
Fine.....I subscribed. Lol

You’re one of the few that did, most stories I hear go the other way. Thanks for the sub!

The widers weld doesn’t says nothing on the wheels just the skinnys ones
I would name it KRUSTY,can’t wait for the restoration
As the saying goes, “just because you can do it, it doesn’t automatically make it a good idea”.
True…
I miss those wing windows.and I think it looks cleaner without those marker lights.that shit just cost extra
I agree!
The krusty crab lol
😂😂😂 that’s a good one! Thanks for watching!
Idk what needs more work
Yours or my 67 RS😂
Good find
If your 67 needs this much work I feel for you, good luck!

It's Ratty and I dig it! Curious what microphone you use? Sound is great
It’s just a wireless lavalier that I got from Amazonia…doesn’t even have a brand name.
@@hammersgarage probably the $20 special I just ordered but sounded not so great for me lol. Great videos brother, I dig the truck
I know a guy in South Carolina that keeps 10 acres of first gens at all time...

I would have bought it, ex race car, got a little history, will be a fun car eventually.
I think so too, looking forward to getting it out in public lol
She's totally fixable , cool car I just scored one barn find 69 myself
I’d name it “Lil Ratsqual”

Not too bad! Thanks for watching!

The guy said it was a Georgia car, s name it the Rotten Peach 🤣
Makes sense! Thanks for watching!
Hello! Hammers Garage. Since this car is not a SS Model what package is it & what V8 engine do you think it had in it?
It appears it was just a base model car, likely with a 307.
My dream car is a 1967 camaro
Go get one!
Peach crown
I think i see what you're doing there! Nice! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Conrad is the name.
Interesting! Thanks for watching!
Do an engine from the junkyard 5.3 or 6.0 LS carbureted with a 4L 80 transmission
Not a bad plan!
I know what you can call it. "SOLD". To me.
Muck Savage !!
Cause you got a Savage load of muck to work on 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
You should name the Camaro : Ole Rusty
That’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen
That car has Bobby Jo written all over it , When i see it it reminds me of that girl in high school that was kinda pretty but now after numerous men have had her and shes a weekend alcoholic shes kinda rough
😂😂😂
That's awesome. I knew a gal just like that.

Love the aluminum slot rims. Picking up a '69 this week, can't wait. Love your car.

I know where a 67 is just sitting in the woods on a cement slab in way worse condition than this one
Worse than this is basically dust…
@@hammersgarage it's not quite dust yet lol but the whole bottom of the car is rusted out and the seats are so bad they're down to the metal and springs I don't know how long it's been sitting but I wouldn't mind getting it out of there if I had the money and knew who owned it
