For people that say why Mark hugged him after all that Nolan did he's still his father that took care of him since he's little, if they adapted the comics 100% I'd probably agree that Mark brushed off too much but the studio corrected his reactions here. I like Mark’s anger here but they maybe shouldn’t have included the hug. It’s an iconic moment in the comics because it shows Mark’s capacity for forgiveness. But in the show, he hugs him but is still mad and hating on him. Mark had some angry comments in the comic but he was most just relieved to see his father. It’s a bit of a contradiction here.

Though I do miss white Amber, black Amber is just annoying and for some reason is so strong willed for a high schooler, white Amber was just an average individual.
Why not Asian Amber? I'm afraid I don't feel very represented in Invincible.
@@SeiyaTempest lol u think I’m being racist 🤣 no in the comics amber is white and in the animated show she’s black. What else was I suppose to say to signify the difference lol, are u stupid?
So is it better in the comics or was it a problem that needed to be fixed???
@@jimbabwe3 it was a huge problem that needed to be fixed. The comics literally had mark just forgiving Nolan right away and was balls crying because he missed his dad so much.
In the Comics, he didn't beat him that bad, he was pulling his punch, he was scare that Mark could drow in ocean so he pull him from ocean fast. There was no putting him through people on purpose. Also Mark seems to know that Nolan love his wife, and talking shit in anger. Nolan left Earth crying, after speech that Basicly said I just killed my friends because I coudn't slowlly watch them they and It was my Duty as enemy Spy.
Textbook definition of how words (can) hit harder than fists.
No doubt, this is an INTENSE and EXTREMELY moment for the both of them right now. ‘Nuff said.
His voice breaking when he said “you could’ve started with ‘I’m sorry’”
Bravo, Steven
Omniman:I MADE A MISTAKE!
Invincible:YOU LITERALLY FED ME A SUBWAY WORTH MULTIPLE LIFETIMES IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE
I don't know how to feel about the way you chose to say that... But its noteworthy so have a free comment.
For people that say why Mark hugged him after all that Nolan did he's still his father that took care of him since he's little, if they adapted the comics 100% I'd probably agree that Mark brushed off too much but the studio corrected his reactions here. He hugs Nolan still but gets mad again seconds later.
I always find this scene deep. This scene will forever be a classic.
Same here.
0:11 - 0:35 that what we call haveing an entire conversation with only eye contact
This was handled way better here than in the comic
I love how Mark tries to put his dad in check.
I’m glad he didn’t completely punk out like in the comics.
I know it's such a tiny minute detail nobody else cares about, but I love how Nolan and Mark both have that same little hair curl up front. You really see it in the face to face shot. Could be from the 90% viltrumite DNA Mark has that he even ends up having almost the exact same hair, but it also feels like a cool nod to their inspiration in Superman since he had that little hair curl up front too.
I’m glad they improved on this scene compared to the comic. In the comic, they made it seem like all was forgiven with the one hug but I’m glad Mark actually laid into him to show the damage Omni man caused him
Omni-Mans Elbow was ON POINT
A mistake is seriously how Nolan describes all the horrible thing he has done. Mark is younger than he is and he it was more than a mistake but then youth tends to have more sense than adults.
Yeah Nolan and Debbie aren’t back together like in the comics
Read again the comics
if they dont make nolan and debbie get back together. debbie will be pointless to bring up anymore seeing how she lived with nolan in a diff planet and on the moon
It's crazy how Omni-Man calls running a train on his own son just a mistake.
He is still new in the emotion of caring
Mark is going through a roller coaster of emotions in one day.
Man, poor Mark. Even inspite of everything he loves his father, and his father loves him, but the damage dones was just too great.
Even though Mark hates him now and deservingly so I like that he hugs Nolan first, because it shows that no matter how mad he is at him and how much his view of him has changed he’s always gonna have that little piece inside of him that can’t help but want his dad back
For us Nolan's apology may seem Half-assed here, but you have to remember that Nolan is over 2,000 years old and in Viltrumite standards this kind of behaviour is unheard of.
Marc these creatures..... they have.... puctures of spider man.... what we have been looking for.
I'm glad they at least kept the hug.
Man that is the most hesrtbreaking hug in animation ever
The fact he's saying "why would I want to see you again" right after hugging him. XD
even cecil said that omni-man wasnt evil except for that small ammount of time. mark killed way more humans than omniman especially when he partnered with the trex and flooded the planet
To be fair that is later in the comics though
Also Mark's idea wasn't horrible, the issue was that he got the Scourge virus immediately after and Dinosaurus just got to do his own thing for an extended period of time.
@@aab1254 yea dino was contained and kept in place. it wouldnt of happend without marking breaking him out. but than he would of died to thragg so full circle
Amazing written scene and all.. I hope his mask doesn't magically wind up in his pocket or something, I've been watching it the whole time there better be a plot reason why it's left there.
Omniman: “well, that went better than expected”.
Even when you hate what your dad has done. Hate what he's told you. Hate that he broke your home?
that's still dad, and there are still the memories of good in there with what happened. Unlike many, Nolan never really raised his voice or acted harsh to his son. Not til the end.
his reaction is more realistic in here than in the comic
Miles: “I made a mistake!”
“F@ck you”
Yup Debbie’s Child lol
Stevens voice acting is incredible
*feeds son a meat riding subway train and gives him a blood-fisted face-first view of Mt Everest as well as saying he’s EASILY replaceable along with loving his mom as a pet*
Nolan: “I made a mistake”
What's great about this is that in the comic Mark also punches him?, so you legitimately don't know which one he's going to do here or if he's even going to do both.
One time he was quicker than Nolan 0:36
And that is by far the most devastating attack for Nolan.
Literally zero defence.
Now that is something real deep
Did bro try to make his dad flinch 🤣
The difference between omni man and omni boy is glaring 😂
Anyone else saw Omniman taking his guard up when Mark hugged him, I think it's shows that Omniman still has doubts about Mark.
Watermarking a show is so cold big bro
This is a big change from the comic
In the comic Mark cry while hugging Omniman, they talk each other to show how much they really miss each other, of course Mark did tell him thsthe things he did are not forgiven but he can go back home
I like more the comic version but in the show is different i sometimes thats cool too
And theres a lot of thing thst have change from the comic to the show in season one and is going well in season two for now lol
The comic sucked ass anyway
@@asimhussain8716the hug did make sense tho
Its clear that he does miss his dad but at the same time he doesn't forgive him. Its to show that mark is conflicted in a very drastic way.
Omni man: *beats son within an inch of his life, forces him to get hit by a train and punches him through a mountain letting him get hit by an avalanche*
Omni man: lil whoopsie
Omni man wanted that smoke again 😂
Omni Man was a split second from smashing his face in again 😅
The fuck you was personal
Mark: "You lied to me. Fk u."
Nolan: "Well... atleast he learnt something from me."
Why did they remove the tears? Mark in the comics was in tears when he hugged his father during the reunion.
The show wants to show Mark being a bit more angry with Nolan I guess
How many tears does he have left to shed man? After everything that happened? He's been through enough.
The comics sucked anyways
If you think the source material sucks then why are you even here@@johnnull6219
@@johnnull6219actually no the comic's did certain thing's better than show did.
Mark's just mad his cheeks will never be as supple as his dad's
Mark: F you.
Nolan: watchu say to me?! 😡
"i made a mistake" just a little oopsie!! such a silly accident!
Lol 00:00 to 00:38, is how actual Viltrumites really hug in their culture. With tension and build up. 😂
Even tho Nolan knows he doesn’t have to care about what he has done in nature since being a Viltrimite he feels guilty and lets his son let all his emotions out he’s still a great dad even tho he’s evil
Nah he's a shit dad still
Oh man your standards for a good dad are low.
