I mean this quote isn't 100% true. Talking can have very big impacts in a fight. It can cause fear, hesitation, doubt, irritation, blind fury or a mix of all of them. Sure stopping to monologue in a fight is pretty dumb but talking itself is just another weapon.

4:47 viltrum is terrifying if they could fight holding their guts
Just wait till we see Battle Beast vs Thragg, the strongest Viltrumite. By the time Battle Beast gets to him, Thragg already has a stomach wound and his guts hanging out. BB sees this and is enraged, he went there looking for a worthy foe and/or his warrior death; so he declares that he will hold no advantage and cuts his own stomach open to an identical degree (you can see it in the panel, the cuts look the same and both intestines are kinda hanging out). Guy's so determined to have a fair fight to decide who the strongest is that he gives himself an identical wound to level the field before they start.
They then fight for an entire week, and by the end neither cuts have really healed in any way, they look the exact same, so presumably they both fought SO HARD that their bodies couldn't catch up amongst all the rest of the damage they each took that their abdomen wounds couldn't heal. So yes Viltrumites absolutely can fight with their guts hanging out - also when Mark has his rematch with the oldest Viltrumite in the empire, he does so with a gigantic fist punched through him and his intestines clutched in his enemy's grip

One thin I hope they change is how having a hole punched through him is how Oliver dies, like instantly - not even when a few minutes Eve brings herself & Mark back to life, Oliver was apparently too dead to be saved. It's stupid, when every other Viltrumite isn't really that bothered by it, and getting turned into doughnuts by other Viltrumites is practically a family tradition for the Graysons. I guess one could argue that it's Oliver's thraxan heritage not being as "compatible" with Viltrumite genetics as humans are; which I could buy, but it gets thrown off by the Thragg's surviving children, all of whom are thraxan too, and some of which still have gaping holes through their bodies and still alive as they were surrendering (unless I'm misremembering that page)
Every one in this series gets their guts spilled out and survive its kinda normal here

Let me point something out:
The entire time Thula was beating up Mark, and fighting him, she wasn’t scared or showing signs of fear. The SECOND Omni-man shows up and grabs her by her braid, that shot of her eyes, THATS fucking fear, fear of the man who just stomped your partner’s head to bits.
And then y’know, Omni-Man broke her jaw, completely.
Viltrumites have an impressive healing factor so Thula is still alive. At least I think she is.
You could say Nolan's arrival was... jaw-dropping, heh

I love how this shows Mark is always holding back when we have seen him before because he still has his ideals and a code he's not willing to break.

The fact that Omni-Man was able to hand chop through the guts and crack the skulls of Vitrumites fairly easily confirms to me that the original Guardians of the Globe had a very real shot at taking him down. Nolan basically tore through those soldiers as easily as he did to the Immortal, and the Immortal in turn did close to as much damage to Nolan in their second fight as the Viltrumites did.
He was holding back and let them get damage so he wasn’t a suspect. He could’ve ripped them to literally pieces more than he actually did. Immortal don’t even want no smoke with mark who’s a 20 year old who’s barely got his powers what do you think it’ll be like once he thousands of years old and has had combat training?
The immortal barely made Nolan bleed, these soldiers actually hurt him pretty badly.
He was a legend in the Viltrumite military even before coming to Earth.

Actually, in the comics, in an alternate timeline, the Guardians actually managed to restrain Omniman.
Granted they had help from future Mark.
So the Guardians are a legitimate threat to lower ranked viltrumites. The whole point of Nolan's sleeper agent act, was to minimise viltrumite casualties.

This isn't an inconsistency, the reason Thula almost got beaten was because she relies in speed more than strength, plus Mark has adrenaline while other viltrumites don't.
Thula is weak tho, she's a pretty old viltrumite at this point, older than both vido and nolan and she's getting beaten by mark

I love the fight in the show but it was so much more rough on Mark in the Comics omni-man carried the fight a lot more to save Mark and he nearly got beat to death by the last viltramite and had to be saved by omni-man dude got out of breath from flying that's how much he was struggling in the Comics I wish they included some of that in the TV show but I'm not really complaining but it's just a really cool thing I wanted to mention because dude it's hilarious seeing how much he actually struggled
