What’s heartbreaking is that when Bianca said the reason she didnt reach out initially was because she didn’t think people would care… that brought tears to my eyes. We do care, i promise the world cares. So happy the family has some closure. May she rest in peace!

it’s wild to me that she was RIGHT off the ramp & it took y’all less than an hour to find her yet police couldn’t find her for 4 years. tells you they didn’t look at all.

According to her daughter Bianca's statements, it seems that she was in distress in the 24 hrs leading up to her disappearance, and she had fixated on water during that time. How the police thought she wasn't in the water is beyond me. I'm just glad that she's home now, and she's back with her family.

@@alliinwonder9675 it is not always as easy as “take her to a mental ward”. My brother in law was terrible and no one would take him and the police said they couldn’t take him unless he was willing. Well, he was totally unstable! He definitely wasn’t willing. It was horrible. My sisters only recourse was to “lock him in”. EMS wouldn’t take him either unless he was willing. Mental health issues are unbelievably difficult for the family to try to get help!

I also love how they don’t jump to calling it closure to the actual families in the moment. They call it answers, because they know that in the moment, in the hearts of the families, closure doesn’t exist and that they’ll never truly be able to close that chapter. They’re so tender with the families through these times and that is a sort of compassion that money could never buy. That comes from the bottom of these guys’ hearts.

AWP has always been very careful about playing the 'blame' game on local authorities for not finding what they found so quickly. :p What these search divers are doing is absolutely amazing; and it would really be nice if our paid authorities had the resources to devote more time to these cases.

and the whole justice system has to care about more then just one case .. because thats what it simply is: just one case. it sucks to say but thats the truth, there are other families out there who are also missing loved ones, justice system cant be anywhere and also has to care about the daily business.
these guys specialize on this and her family was the lucky ones to get help ( / faster then others ).
could the justice system do more in some areas? yes. but comments like this dont help but spread toxicity towards people who for the most part try to do good. think about your words.

The way they immediately make it clear that anything that the family doesn’t want to be shown won’t be is just amazing. They aren’t people that are like “oh the cameras are here whether you want them around or not.” They always show that they do this for no other reason other than to help people. They only document it to show people what it’s like to do things like this and the actual process. Which I didn’t even know was a thing, and I definitely had no idea about it. They drive across the country on their OWN time and money, without a single thought of whether or not that they’ll be rewarded with money, thanks, gratitude etc. They’re not in it for the likes, for the clout, for the publicity/popularity. This is their passion. And one that I’m sure they are aware is dangerous.
I can’t believe how this started out as them just cleaning the environment and blossomed into this amazing thing of finding people’s lost loved ones and finally giving them closure and maybe even healing too. Amazing work AWP, I’m rooting for you just like everyone else here! Keep doing what you do best 😁

I wonder if being contracted to a network would create conflict with that Ethos.
Or if being contracted would put pressure on the families.

It’s more pure to have it on a RUclips channel, you’re you’re own content boss, you decide what you upload and when, they can put more of themselves into the work, no one censoring their actions or deciding what cases they can and can’t take, and honestly while they’re not uploading for the money itself, I’m sure they make more off RUclips than they would a Netflix series as they can decide how frequently they upload and each upload just keeps racking up views which in turn makes more money without having a cap set at “this is how much we’re gonna pay you” almost infinite in a sense which helps them fund their missions and gear and maintenance of said gear, and travel expenses as well. Netflix tends to suck when it comes to making their own series as well. This episode alone felt way more personal and better to watch than most series I’ve seen on Netflix.

This should not be on broadcast tv or cable. Those producers will not be as considerate of the family, they'll want to punch up the drama, they'll stick cameras in the faces of the grieving family as the news is broken, they'll make debates between divers about where to look into full-on arguments, etc. Keeping creative control with the creators themselves is key to keeping it good.

@@TexasHomesteaders First, I am incredibly sorry for everything you & your family has dealt with. I have always said "Missing" would be worse than "M*rdered!!" Obviously, both are horrible and nothing I would wish upon anyone - ever! But the latter, you know what happened, but 'missing' is just neverending psychological torture with no answers. (I hope I am making sense. I also think m*rder is torment.... I am not lessening the emotional impact of either....)
Truth of the matter, I don't think the general public really pays enough attention to missing persons - especially adults. The Gabbie Petito case highlighted the fact that the public just doesn't demand enough attention to these cases. Obviously Gabbie got lots of attention, but other families who have missing people are wishing they could get even a small percentage of that attention for their loved one!!! When it comes to adults, law enforcement likes to fall back on the "adults can do as they wish....they are allowed to disappear!!" WTH?!?!?!? We do only slightly better with children. Even so, we end up with cases like the Orson (3 y.o) and Orrin (4 y.o) West - missing over a year and Summer Wells (5 y.o.) missing almost 8 months! None are getting the attention they deserve!!! I could rant forever on this subject, but I won't!! Just know that there are many here that care, I wish this fact could make things better or bring your Uncle home! 3 important things here.
    1. Let us not forget the hard working members of the tow truck industry who are called on to assist with all these situations. They deserve all our thanks and mental health support too.
    2. The care and compassionate response with which the filming and editing are shown and also blurred out where needed to provide dignity to a deceased family members body.
    3. The additional benefits of every dive trip which locates and identifies additional vehicles which might be other cold cases. Plus the opportunity to give local authorities the chance to clean up the bodies of water from environmental hazards.
All these aspects are what I believe make the AWP movement such a worthy cause to support, with views likes, comments and subscribers.
Whilst we all might look forward to another video, someone who was missing is found and it's a bittersweet moment for all of us viewing the results. A sobering reminder to hug our loved ones, message our friends and family.

Sure. But this is why we have detectives and special police units, some of which I’m sure have military backgrounds as well, but we have people for these types of jobs, the military have their own purpose for our country and while it would help having them to work cases such as this, we have plenty of men and women already actively doing this every single day. Now having some of the technology the military uses would be another story and incredibly helpful especially for cars lost in far deeper depths of water.
