I've actually been eyeing this game for years and have been planning to start. I'm excited about the 5 years of content, the huge world, the story (I’m actually big fan of lore based games) and overall everything in this game feels endless. That's why it's a little scary to start. I started today and I'm really trying not to overwhelm myself and quit. 🙏 The other game that got me into gacha is Wuwa, but honestly I'm not a fan of sexualized waifus, so I feel like I need a break. I hope Genshin will give me a different vibe. Thanks to this vid :)

the Eula story quest is required for one of the Acron quests. I was halfway through but the game requested I finish before I continue the main story line quest
You forgot about most rare, limited 3 star weapons, dark sword (only 2 exists, you can get those from npcs), and white tassel (about 7? exists in liyue chests), they're not in any gacha, store, or anywhere. You use them as fodder - and you loose those forever. Also, there is some noteworthy world quests, like: masked shrine maiden, cat shrine, enkanomiya, foggy island, cursed aranara questline, jeckt and narzissenkreuz. Those are noteworthy, and as good as main questline (maybe even better at some parts).
@@YeddoYT Dark Iron Sword is actually good at R1 if you're going for cheap EM builds in early game. And It's really easy to get first one, just talk to npc in liyue. And btw, it's only 20EM worse than craft one, and you don't need ATK in EM build. (And don't mess up, Dark Iron Sword 3* rare EM weapon, and black sword is BP, paid one, 4* and it's for crits.) Damn, i messed up, and actually switched their names again. Edits!

ive heard to not focus on artifact farming untile your AR lvl 35-45. but i think idk. i feel a lil overwhelmed atm because the quests seem to get harders as i progress. I dot have much characters nor idk how to synergize them well. Id like a team that helps me explore Open world like farming and explorig. also stamina is an issue for me. and puzzles x.x Ive started playing for like about a month now.
I'm a tourist in genshin and is only here for the story and 1 limited character and 3 days to get enough to wish for her and yeah started like a week ago, so yeah.
I have 2 additional optional tips. Especially for day one players. The beach you start at has a small island just off the beach. Its barely reachable with your starting stamina but it is reachable. On this Island is a chest. Its a luxurious chest and is the best kind of chest you can get. This can start you with a decent weapon or atrifact or possibly both. The second tip will take a bit of research. But as soon as Liyue is available you can actually reach Sumeru. There are 2 different ways to get there. You can find a Sumeru Statue of Seven. Use the MC (main character) and touch it. You can activate the Dendro traveler which is still the best version of the traveler in the game. This also unlocks a few powerful elemental reactions that are likely unavailable to you until you win the free Collie. Having the Dendro traveler will make much of the early game content very easy, which might be positive or negative depending on how you look at it. But will make the MC a major playable character for you for a good while.
Never played it and was looking at trying it as my first gatcha game, this video alone has made me a whole lot less confused on what to do when starting off lmao, thanks for making this!! :D
I know it's common for people to say not to spend primos on standard wishes, but i don't think it's terrible to occasionally do it, especially as a beginner. If you want a specific character\weapon, don't pull on standard, but if you want a variety of characters and weapons, the standard banner is actually pretty good. I got my first two 5 star weapons off the standard banner and a handful of characters that i couldn't pull off the limited one. Great vids btw, enjoy the chill energy on them.
Spending primos on limited banners is a bad idea (for beginners) . What if you get a character from the new region? They'll just be rotting until you discover that region and get the materials.
@SWORDSNWEED Unless it's Inazuma, you can always walk to the new regions and collect the region specific items. It won't be easy, but it's possible. This is coming from someone whose first 5 star was Dehya. Weekly bosses aren't locked behind story anymore. The only thing stopping a new player is the distance.
The easiest way to explain to a new player - Genshin is normal well-made open world, action RPG with a wishing/gambling system welded on top. This system is how one obtains premium characters/weapons. However, the entire story and regular quests are beatable with free normal 4-star characters, and you will get some of the premium stuff by simply playing. You will never come close to obtaining every character or weapon, so only go for things you enjoy. Genshin makes money by FOMO and people spending money for extra wishes on the premium stuff. A regular AAA game costs $70. That will get you ONE 5-star character (not even guaranteed) in Genshin. It’s okay to spend if you know exactly what you want, but you will get plenty of cool stuff for free. Primogems and Resin are the gate limiting resources so protect them until you really need them. Once they are gone, they are gone, and you only get them back with time or money. Biggest tips I wish I knew. 1. Do NOT use fragile resin until adventure rank 45. That is when you unlock guaranteed 5 star artifacts, and then you use resin to farm them faster. 2. Only use primogems on wishes. That is how your account advances. You can use primogems to get extra resin, but it’s never worth it. The game intentionally frontloads free resources to make you think that’s normal, then it magically dries up. It really is an amazing game that gets better the deeper you go, but set yourself up for success with patience. Not sure why the algorithm brought me here, but this was a nice video. Subscribed.

I don't think you mentioned that at 90 wishes you only have a 50% of getting the banner character, with that if one doesn't get the character, they're guaranteed to get it after the next 90. So if you really want a character save 180 wishes if you want to guarantee getting it.
This is the calmest I've heard this game explained 😊. I am struggling with asencion stuff, I do not want to go near those square things, or the geovishaps? 🤷♀️ but I'm 54, so my 10 year old grandson done It for me. I’m only AR 24 and I have the entire map explored and most of the teleport waypoints except for Inazuma, I don’t know if this is normal but I’m guessing it will help me out in the long run
13:50 You are not guaranteed the 5 star you want at 90 wishes. You are guaranteed A 5* at 90 wishes. There is a 50% chance it will be the character you want. IF it is not the character you want THEN after 90 MORE wishes you are then guaranteed the 5 star you want. Meaning it is 180 wishes to guarantee a character.
21:00 Story/World quests often do have a lot to do with the main story. Not always, but often. The folks who were confused by what was going on in Natlan, are the ones who skipped them all.
I've been playing since just before Xmas I'm 42 AR & I've reached the point where bosses are 20 levels higher than my team & I can't kill them for mats. I need Geo maths for noelle but can't break the pillars on the Geo Hypstasis to level her up,basically I'm playing everything with Barbara & Lisa. 200 hours into easy but I think I'm going to have to delete my save & start again.
@YeddoYT Yeah I've got a LvL 40 Noelle but the Geo boss is LvL 69 but even with a purple claymore the damage is so small it's barely visible. I got the other Geo character aswell that rides on the spinning top thing,think I've got her to lvl 50 but I'm at the same problem I need the Geo Hypo mats. My main team who are mostly all basically just the starter characters,Lisa/Barb/Kaeoy or whatever the ice dude is called & a 4th floater,either Yao yao or Amber or Sucrose or my traveller but I don't understand how people do so much damage with a single element becauee unless I use water & electric I'm.doimg nothing I think my games bugged if I'm honest,becauee my weapons are up the 60s a few at lvl 70 aswell but my damage is so small,my team all have lvl 16 purple artifacts,I'm not doing my next ascension trial at 45 no way. I'm trying to push through it but I think I've rushed it most of my maps open,no infact its all open so I've been all over place doing missions & getting confused what missions are which. I was AR 38 ffs before I found fishing so yeah I think I went a bit too deep a bit too soon,just went in dry didn't even stick a finger in first or nuffin just wallop straight in. I'm getting there I suppose but 80% of the characters I've pulled have been Anemo. Got Thoma last night aswell,I've got the characters to make a team but I feel so weak,unless I use Barb & Lisa for the electro combo,it's why I feel I must be missing something because I've even lowered my world back to 4 from 5 if I could go lower I would but we can only do 1 level it sucks. Yeah I'm just going to plod on & plug away at it but I've got a 4800 Warframe account that I've not played since last Jan & they've had loads of new content so that's starting make me itch a bit I might need to scratch that itch but Genshin mate it makes Elden Ring look like a game for noobs in terms of its combat system I think.

Like I say mate if it wasnt for Lisa & Barbara Ide be screwed switching between them.for the combo is basically my main damage,85% of my pulls have been Anemo aswell. Hello, video would be more helpful if you mentioned how and where Xingqiu is given for free. You just state it at the beginning which left me confused. Also, people don’t want to read a characters entire kit just to play around with weapons, would rather just use Google. Hope you can take these tips into consideration and improve
i am adventure rank 29 and just finished the liyue questline and i had no idea what talents are at all so when you explained that it was quite a shocker ngl. Also i feel like when i see everyone else they have all these cool characters and all ive got is amber for pyro and kaeya, noelle, aka the default set am i supposed to have atleast some unique characters that arent handed to you for free?

I'm new to genshin impact. How do you refine a weapon? I press on refine (i use xbox) and the game opens up a box just showing the weapon? I got my iceman up to level 50 but the game keeps kicking my ass. I keep getting boxes and stuff but the adventure rank keeps going up making the game harder?!

You know he's in the starglitter shop I think at least 3 times a year. Takes a little discipline to save up on starglitter but he's worth saving for if you don't happen to have yelan.

This system is how one obtains premium characters/weapons. However, the entire story and regular quests are beatable with free normal 4-star characters, and you will get some of the premium stuff by simply playing. You will never come close to obtaining every character or weapon, so only go for things you enjoy.
Genshin makes money by FOMO and people spending money for extra wishes on the premium stuff. A regular AAA game costs $70. That will get you ONE 5-star character (not even guaranteed) in Genshin. It’s okay to spend if you know exactly what you want, but you will get plenty of cool stuff for free.
Primogems and Resin are the gate limiting resources so protect them until you really need them. Once they are gone, they are gone, and you only get them back with time or money.
Biggest tips I wish I knew. 1. Do NOT use fragile resin until adventure rank 45. That is when you unlock guaranteed 5 star artifacts, and then you use resin to farm them faster. 2. Only use primogems on wishes. That is how your account advances. You can use primogems to get extra resin, but it’s never worth it. The game intentionally frontloads free resources to make you think that’s normal, then it magically dries up.
It really is an amazing game that gets better the deeper you go, but set yourself up for success with patience.

I don't think you mentioned that at 90 wishes you only have a 50% of getting the banner character, with that if one doesn't get the character, they're guaranteed to get it after the next 90. So if you really want a character save 180 wishes if you want to guarantee getting it.

This is the calmest I've heard this game explained 😊. I am struggling with asencion stuff, I do not want to go near those square things, or the geovishaps? 🤷♀️ but I'm 54, so my 10 year old grandson done It for me. I’m only AR 24 and I have the entire map explored and most of the teleport waypoints except for Inazuma, I don’t know if this is normal but I’m guessing it will help me out in the long run
inazuma just like ar30+ and u need to story unlock it and some quest to unlock zone(like stop thunder strom,mist island)

13:50 You are not guaranteed the 5 star you want at 90 wishes. You are guaranteed A 5* at 90 wishes. There is a 50% chance it will be the character you want. IF it is not the character you want THEN after 90 MORE wishes you are then guaranteed the 5 star you want. Meaning it is 180 wishes to guarantee a character.
21:00 Story/World quests often do have a lot to do with the main story. Not always, but often. The folks who were confused by what was going on in Natlan, are the ones who skipped them all.

I've been playing since just before Xmas I'm 42 AR & I've reached the point where bosses are 20 levels higher than my team & I can't kill them for mats.
I need Geo maths for noelle but can't break the pillars on the Geo Hypstasis to level her up,basically I'm playing everything with Barbara & Lisa.
200 hours into easy but I think I'm going to have to delete my save & start again.

@YeddoYT Yeah I've got a LvL 40 Noelle but the Geo boss is LvL 69 but even with a purple claymore the damage is so small it's barely visible.
I got the other Geo character aswell that rides on the spinning top thing,think I've got her to lvl 50 but I'm at the same problem I need the Geo Hypo mats.
My main team who are mostly all basically just the starter characters,Lisa/Barb/Kaeoy or whatever the ice dude is called & a 4th floater,either Yao yao or Amber or Sucrose or my traveller but I don't understand how people do so much damage with a single element becauee unless I use water & electric I'm.doimg nothing I think my games bugged if I'm honest,becauee my weapons are up the 60s a few at lvl 70 aswell but my damage is so small,my team all have lvl 16 purple artifacts,I'm not doing my next ascension trial at 45 no way.

Got Thoma last night aswell,I've got the characters to make a team but I feel so weak,unless I use Barb & Lisa for the electro combo,it's why I feel I must be missing something because I've even lowered my world back to 4 from 5 if I could go lower I would but we can only do 1 level it sucks.
Yeah I'm just going to plod on & plug away at it but I've got a 4800 Warframe account that I've not played since last Jan & they've had loads of new content so that's starting make me itch a bit I might need to scratch that itch but Genshin mate it makes Elden Ring look like a game for noobs in terms of its combat system I think.

I was working on this but when I first played it I messed up badly I did level up till I was in natlen I think or before and I wasn't thinking right, so I reset the whole game and started over so I can focus, and so far I am rank 25 waiting to get to rank 30 before I do the arcon quest I have I like to upgrade everything I need for that arcon, am I doing something smart? Hello, video would be more helpful if you mentioned how and where Xingqiu is given for free. You just state it at the beginning which left me confused.
Also, people don’t want to read a characters entire kit just to play around with weapons, would rather just use Google.

i am adventure rank 29 and just finished the liyue questline and i had no idea what talents are at all so when you explained that it was quite a shocker ngl. Also i feel like when i see everyone else they have all these cool characters and all ive got is amber for pyro and kaeya, noelle, aka the default set am i supposed to have atleast some unique characters that arent handed to you for free?

I'm new to genshin impact. How do you refine a weapon? I press on refine (i use xbox) and the game opens up a box just showing the weapon? I got my iceman up to level 50 but the game keeps kicking my ass. I keep getting boxes and stuff but the adventure rank keeps going up making the game harder?!

That one area with the ice monsters are level 30 and I’m not nowhere for that area. then I never have enough for the wish capsule so like how do I get characters?
