You have to remember that the car is stationary with no air resistance. It makes a huge difference.
Dyno runs xxmph-xxxmph are not representative of the street.

The cost is as much maybe more than a supercharger but supercharger at 7 to 8 psi puts down 550 to 600 whp on pump gas. I m not sure if its worth it.

Cool video. I basically have the exact same mods (plus 103mm TB) and picked up 149rwhp, which is consistent with yours. The car is a blast to drive, and the chop is awesome.
How much this gonna run you
Not bad. I got a buddy with his 2019 5.0 with 395 whp stock. Just ported fact mani, full headers-exhaust, TB and filter drop in and got it to 475 rwhp. On E it got to 530 rwhp. I still dont believe it but hey, 585 crank hp,v0-60: 3.2 sec and 10.8@132 says it all. Surprised the LT1 needs a 12k HC, pack to get similar power as the stang did for under 5300. Also didnt know cam swap on 2016+ LT1 was such a huge PITA compared to the LS3/LS6/LS2/LS1. Looks like a power adder is better for the LT1 200 whp for 7500.
Problrm is you could leave most of it stock and just slap a prochsrger on it, 160 rwhp for 7k. I bet this set up in the video is over 7k, probably closer to 13k from their website. Over prices mods.

@MasterCarguy44-pk2dq And you add 60-70 lbs over the front wheels, been there done that (2002 Pontiac TA with Vortech SC) it made great dyno numbers but the performance wasn't there at the track vs heads and cam making 50 less whp. Adding 60-70 lbs impacts the weight distribution, reducing weight transfer and makes it plow more I'm turns as a track car. I didn't even touch on potential heat soak. NA is the way to go with LSX. Forced Induction is great if you have less displacement to begin with, like a 4 or 6 cylinder.
The only caveat here is those rear mounted twin turbo kits that put the weight over the rear wheels and of course C8 kits that similarly put the additional weight over the rear wheels.

I wouldn't call it a day with just a supercharger. You can still add additional mods beyond that and produce even more power/torque depending on your personal preferences of course.

That's the price of a supercharger and you get to keep it NA which a lot of people prefer.

@@thomaswood5246 only a supercharger on a stock engine will blow it up in 10k miles. Guy supercharged my c7 Grandsport before I got it. He about 10k b4 it blew most all of the piston rings and oil rings. I bought it cheap ans rebuilt the engine. 😩
What's the total price for that +140. $12,300 for the 140hp package. Ouch.
So can you do the cam removal/install like that? I see a lot of people saying the only way is pulling the engine or removing front end, subframe, etc. I'd like to do it myself but don't want to mess with yanking everything
Sadly these new 2016+ LT1's suck for doing a cam. Gotta pull half the damn engine now. Used to be easy max 1-2 hrs at home, pop hood all from top front.

I have the same setup on my vette. My turner said n/A motors are still freely breathing. S/c cars have to force that air. To different life spans.

I just cant bring myself to buy a gm v8 qith their AFM/DOD weak 4 cylinders, requiring a new cam, and 4 new non afm rods, crank, pistons etc. The fix isnt just a delete from a tune.

MYCamaroZL1 10K in parts and labor is typical for what they did.
@@stevenp3176 for about the same money, I can put an A&A supercharger and get about 175 HP... why stay naturally aspirated? E85 is hard on everything being so dry a fuel, and lower BTUs. But my point asking is NA a better feeling than boosted? Just asking..
@@hemikid52 depends on the driver and what they're looking to do with the car. Most people stick with N/A on the SS cuz they're just looking for something a little more fun to drive on the back roads.
@@hemikid52 there's no heatsoak with NA vs boosted, meaning if you do a couple hard pulls back to back you'll be making less hp with the boosted car.

7K is sketchy on a stock 6.2L IMO....
140 wheel for about 7k isnt too bad. The cam and head fixed most of the AFM issue, not all though.

I was really hoping to see how you got the cam out with the engine still in. Every install I ever seen they pulled the engine out.
If you disconnect the radiator and move it out of the way you have enough room to pull it straight out (going off of 5th gen camaros) I’m sure it would be similar space
Also same way with c6 corvettes if you move the radiator you have plenty of room to pull straight out

Till you boost on stock internals and blow the rings out. Then it cost a lot more.
Add the 1st stage cam and ypu will get 515 hp plus 491lb ft. Curious at your numbers.

How do you figure? Heads, cam and headers without a tune will only get you 30-40 hp most of the time. Just e85 by itself will also net you like 30hp on N/A engine.

388hp at the wheels, and all stock, is impressive. Interesting that your hp is charted in mph not rpm. Works fine just different.
The rpm pickup sometimes misses and then plots the graph like a 1 year old draws. So MPH stays consistent. You will see this on a lot of channels who have newer dynojets

-ᏒᏋᎷᏋᎷᏰᏋᏒ ᎷᏋ- there’s bolt on only SS’s in 10’s and Heads n cam in the 9’s on the 6 gens. For 6-8 grand starting completely stock that’s pretty good. A procharger only (with smaller p1 head unit) set up is about the same cost for the same gains.

500 NA probably feels like 750 boosted in everyday driving.

All things even boosted cars need more power to beat a proper n/a car because of heat soak and weight. A 600whp n/a car will beat a 600whp boosted car. Instant power mad rpm. A 700whp nitrous car will beat a 700whp boosted car all day . In the cold and in the summer even more .
Complete Street Performance what I meant is a stroker motor or proper head and cam. I see it all the time where boosted cars with more power under performing and n/a over performing

Do you know if the 85 conversion is corrosive in a long-term? I heard it is I don't want to know for sure before I do it to my coyote .
@@Madmaxxxx1984 from what I know the e85 burns hotter. So that in it's self should be cleaner.
@Michael Decker Alcohol combusts at a lower temperature keeping the engine cooler, not hotter.
@@Madmaxxxx1984 l been running it on my 2011 Camaro SS and been using Lucas ethanol conditioner with stabilizers they recommend one ounce for every 5 gallons l use 2 ounces every 5 gallons it lubricates valves combustion chambers and the top of the pistons and it eliminates the moisture buildup that happens when E85 is stored for weeks or months my car runs extremely well on it for awhile now with no problems so far I've been getting it for 2.90 a gallon and it's 100+ octane the inside tailpipes tips still look like new with no dirt or burned brown residue after 10 or more tanks ran through and the spent exhaust fumes are barely noticeable compared to gasoline fumes it runs very clean with very little smell my car is naturally aspirated but modified
