    427 rwhp completely stock baseline is really good. These cars typically baseline around 400 rwhp but the power can vary by car! I’m jealous!!

      I think it has to do with it being a stick car, less drivetrain loss

      ​@@kevindutter9068 the manual typically dyno 400-405. The auto are around 375-380. 427 stock in this video would mean this car only had 6.15% drivetrain loss.

      Guys. Cars read different on dynos, don’t hang up on the numbers but the delta gain. Here the dyno is using Standard Correction not SAE. So it is a 400 whp car on an accurate dyno. What sucks about it is you are paying $$$ for 36 whp gain. Not worth it. You need to add cam setup or go supercharger route.

      My brother has a scat and my cousin has a 5.0. I have a Fifty edition Camaro and I'm faster than both. The scat can give me a run up in 100mph range but that's it. The mustangs actually a dog.

      No it doesn’t, the mach1 they dynoed put down 500hp to the tire with headers and e85

      @@JussDraftfr :30 It was stated it was tuned at each stage. It's a big misconception that just bolting on parts gives you gains. All of these parts need a proper calibration. That rotofab intake changes the maf scaling and requires a tune. Same goes for the intake manifold and throttle body. The headers are a little more forgiving but definately need a tune to optimize the gains.

    Just get a flex fuel sensor and tune and call it a day. That's 30whp right there easy for cheap

    For a fraction of the price, you can install a modified LT2 intake and get 90% of the gains.

    Curious! Ive seen other videos with lower baseline, installing same items ( cold air intake, intake manifold, long tube headers) making 500+ whp.

    Baseline on the SS is impressive but not entirely unexpected. I was a little surprised that the mods didn’t add more power. Watching the same mods occur on a 5.0 is very interesting. But they are certainly very different engines. What do the baselines on a Dodge look like?

      Most likely. But you can get a flex tune and dial in for both pump gas and e85.

      Any dyno with hood open adds,12-18 hp and does NOT reflect actual driving, but rather, in a parking lot meet or gathering, sitting there.

      Never trust ANY speed shop when they use STD and open hood. If you do, deduct 15-20hp.

    At no time is the engine tune shown as a gain. Was this motor not tuned for these pulls? How much did it add and when in this process?

      Yeah u can bolt on all of these mods on a stock camaro without a tube and you won’t see more than 5 if any hp gain plus your car would run like crap. They 100 percent tuned the car after installing the mods

      Every dyno reads different. If you put another stock and it puts less power and torque on the same day running same gas then you can say that.

    Close that hood first. People do not cruise around with the hood wide open to cool their engines so dont dyno it that way.

      My educated guess is that this is a trade-off. While there might be some added cooling effect from the hood being open (especially with the fans blowing), you also likely lose some of the compressive effect of the air being forced into the engine bay (and the intake).

      @@poopinator22The 5.0L Coyote in the Mustang makes similar power with a smaller displacement, but has 32 valves and 4 camshafts to make up that difference (the LT1 only has 16 valves and 1 camshaft). It’s not rocket science or anything, they make their power in their own ways, larger displacement vs a more complicated engine.
      I could argue that the Z06 Corvette that makes 670hp out of a 5.5L engine is so much better than 5.0L Coyote, but that’s just a dumb argument

      Another drawback of all those valves and cams on the upper engine that is often overlooked is where the weight is located.
      All other things being even, I'll gladly take a slightly larger engine with a lower weight distribution than one where a large portion of the weight is located higher. Handling matters.
