    With exception to the TB, Intake Manifold, and CAI, (I use K&N Typhoon CAI) I have the exact same mods. Mine was tuned by Phoenix Performance Calibration. Been running on it for over 18 months no issues and at the strip. I plan to do more to the car, but just found it funny that we would be using near identical parts.
    In my case:
    2" SE LT (Cat Delete)
    3" SE X-Pipe
    K&N Typhoon CAI
    Stock Suitcase for the moment until I get the axle back which will be MBRP
    DIY E-85 Flex Fuel (from Wild hammer as well)
    Tuned
    Ran me $3500 installed. Figure you paid $1200+ for the intake Manifold + 103mm TB so that's about $1800 total. Little more expensive for me but I'm not mechanically inclined like you are so I wouldn't have been able to do my own install.
    And yes, I have the NGK Plugs as well just not installed, I have to have the tranny flushed, filter changed, oil changed, intake cleaned, and the NGK plugs installed this spring. I also already picked up a pair of Nitto 555R2's for the back for this summer. :)
    I am however opt'ing for the Stage 3 LT2 intake with 95mm ZR1 TB soon.

      First right here...as I don't want my future V8 to have the cylinder deactivation feature, what would you consider to be the best application for getting rid of it? And is it true that only the A10 models have this and the M6 don't? Would be perfect because the 2SS 1LE with the Tremec 6060 would be my choice. A V8 should live as a V8 - always! 😄

      All LT1 engines have the displacement on demand feature built into the valve-train. With the manual transmission, it never activates. The only way to remove it, is by buying and installing non DOD valve train. At that point you should be adding a cam or upgraded heads.

      Bolt on some forged wheels. You'll drop more than 10lbs of rotating mass of unsprung weight at each wheel. All aspects of sporty driving will improve. Pricey but it will set your car apart from the others, especially at the track.

    I have a question and would love anybody to input a answer. I found a 2016 2ss for 28k. It has 1 7/8 headers, ported manifold and it’s on e85 making 500rwhp BUT it has 92k miles. Is that a dealbreaker for y’all or would I be ok looking at higher mileage for these cars

    • @Saldalaperformance
      @Saldalaperformance  Год назад

      92k is high in my opinion for such a new sports car. You need to be more clear about the mods. I made 490whp with all the mods in this video. If you have that amount of power with only headers, ethanol, and a ported intake manifold, that means that was a happy dyno or that tune is way spicier than you want it to be.
