Having worked at a dealership, I was thinking about going back to GM and a new LT1 car, but GM is now on their third attempt at active fuel management, aka cylinder deactivation on demand, and the hog( number of lifter and valve fails on these. 4 cylinder mode should not exist on performance vehicles like these. GN has been trying and failing at this since the 80’s on the Cadillacs.
Never dyno a vehicle with the hood open unless the person is going to drive with the hood wide open. That is one of the biggest reasons for overinflated dyno numbers. Also, CAI are not actually not intaking cold air, on the contrary. And the simple matter is that CAI upgrades are USELESS, unless sticking a tube 5-8” out in front of the vehicle.
What are the torque specs for all the bolts? Sorry if you mentioned this before? Also would you recommended this install if I mainly autocross my car? Your feedback is appreciated 🏎️💨
Your very late to the party in regards to the LT2 manifold on a Camaro SS. The gains are very decent compared to the low cost of the manifold. You should have done a ported LT2 manifold as well and talked about the TB choices to mate up to the manifold. With an Adapter Plate to put on a 95 mm ZR1 TB. The gains would be much better.
I have a surprise for the channel. It's definitely something we can test out this better. I'll be announcing it soon. And then we should be back in the swing of content.
Lt2 intake = 20 rwhp at high rpm = $230 (not including a couple minor mods to make it fit the LT1) so realistically $300. LT2 intake ported = xx rwhp at high rpm = $700-$800 I don't think "porting" is worth it. I need to stop dragging my feet and schedule some CSP long tubes and a tune!
So don't buy ported lt2 intake manifold and 95mm throttle body? Just stick to lt2 intake manifold leave factory throttle body? I'm doing long tube headers and hp custom tune , with rear axle back exhaust and closed box cold air intake. And adding the lt2 intake, what do you think power to wheels will be at 2023 camaro lt1 auto
I have a good question for you guys. Considering the intake is swapable from the lt1 to the lt2, and there are swap videos for the lt4 on to the lt1, do you know if the lt4 supercharger would swap on to the lt2? I have a C8 and would totally love to do a budget supercharger swap from the lt4.
good 2 c diferent number on each on, and plus number on the LT2 but this alone does not make any real diference at the street, i mean no one can tell me OOOHHH MY CARS IS SO MUCH FASTER NOW BY DOING THIS, but hey it did ok.
All that work and a new manifold and this 6.2 is still down 20rwhp to a little 5.0 Coyote that you guys tested back in 2020. Starting to respect Mustangs more now??
I really appreciate that you guys are funny without trying to constantly be funny
Good numbers. Very similar to what I had on my camaro.
I have that exact setup. It is well worth the investment.
Does ur car feel much quicker after
Thank you for this video!! We’ve all wanted to see the proof behind the LT2! My FBO’s are happening in January I can’t wait
Very good information. Thank you.
Great content, good to see Eric get screen time.
Love the Ghostbusters hoodie. Thanks for sharing.
Love these dyno comparrison vids!
Great video. Thanks
Really like these type videos!
The Bon Jovi reference sold me 😆😆😆
Thought this lt1 vs 2 mani was on stock SS. Modded car won’t help show the mani increases because there’s mods on it already,
Awesome video
Great content thanks for sharing
💥Thanks for the comparison😎
Awsome love the hoodie
I guess you could cover it up with a C-8 cover but there goes your budget.

Get a manual then
Get it disabled
your dyno makes very similar power compared to mine for these cars. I see lots of others on youtube making ridiculously hi/ inflated numbers.

Same here. I just had my A10 done with basically the same mods. 417 for me

Thanks for this video! I've been contemplating doing the LT2 instead of 3rd party.
Great video! I just don’t see how the lt2 intake can perform under the MSD being it has a larger capacity than either intakes
Msd has shorter runners, 103 inlet size. That’s about it.
Very Impressive.
i made very similar power as this with the same mods just bit more managed 470rwhp in cold-ish weather
If you ever get a chance I know ALOT of people want to see the difference between a ported msd and a ported Lt2
So are the numbers with 93 with the lt2 manifold without a tune or with?
"It has a bit more.. it's ugly" lmao
test it with zr1 throttle body bolt on mod
Can you add a C-8 ZO6 throttle body?
Can you run a lt2 and lt5 tb on a stock m6? Stock tune?
Is that Kribke ?
Where can I get a ported LT2 intake?
Was that with stock throttle body?
My question too. Is this the 87mm or 95mm LT5 TB. Most doing this LT2 change are adding a 95mm TB. Good info tho
Man I think I will attempt to do this for now instead of supercharging it. Pay off my wife’s car first lol

They’re working with what they have it looks to be a customer’s car.

What is power gains on that ? I. Thinking bout doing that set up
Will a LT1 supercharger fit on an LT2 ? Asking for the c8 ! (its 4k cheaper)
The plumbing night not work
Why not an lt4 supercharger

Dragging your feet or opening your wallet?😂😂😂😂😂
Im about to do a street tune plus e85 plus a lt2 intake u think those mods are good.?

@@adambejarano1698 msd intake manifold with 103mm tb ;)
Is porting it worth the cost/power gains?
The gains would be nominal compared to going to an MSD
Thanks. I just watched GPI, who did a comparison, and the 2-3hp gain from porting cost more than the intake itself.@@completestreetperformance

The Lt4 Supercharger will not fit on the lt2. We're biased but we would recommend our Twin Turbo setup if you are looking for more power
We must be a bit special in Kialla where l live...
The just built local gas station sells E85.....👍

every car is different tbh lol
Take away 16 valves and 3 cams from coyote and talk them lol
@@MICKSHRED give the coyote 100 more cubic inces first
Run what you enjoy.... numbers are just numbers. Enjoying what you drive is far more important.
Yes but the coyote is down 40ft lbs of torque my friend. Apples and oranges
You should call it EL Rey
Such low numbers on the before runs
Msd atomic is way better
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 we would date e85
Peak hp at 6500? Who drives their car there? Crappy low end torque which is where it should be and is from the factory.
When you floor the car, if you want to go anywhere, it's the power between 4800-6600 that matters on this platform.
I drive there everyday and then some :)
Yoo wassup we met on vr gunraiders good video btw loved it
Hahahah what's up!
