Therean Kendo The 2JZ sound isn’t anything too special in my opinion. It gets a lot of love from the car community because it’s easily tunable and it’s reliable.
BMW made a V10 block, tested a few exhaust configurations. It sounded great and thus the M5 E60 was born. Lexus / Toyota and Yamaha literally sat down in a massive acoustic building for months, making sure the whole car sounded perfect from every possible angle, at every single rpm.
Well, you're right, the next Supra might come next. I wish all the other JDM stars are back (Silvias, Lan Evos, Eclipses, New GTR and Z, RX series, S2K, etc)
If I have enough of diesel cars here in Europe .... I will always listen to it to calm down. In this case, I feel there is still room in the world where everything is fine. Thanks for uploading.
for s car with 552hp it really moves, after 200kmh it started accelerating like a carrera gt but im not sure a carrera gt can accelerate from 200kmh-250kmh that quickly
@TheLifePerfect You sir are one of the most well-spoken people on YT. I don't think I've ever seen someone who has such poise and sophistication when speaking about matters that tie in the brilliance of the LFA while supporting Japan through this catastrophe. Also, congrats on the LFA. I'm deeply hoping you will post some videos for us less-fortunate people who can only dream about having an LFA. Cheers to you. PS if I've made an error by addressing you as sir, I do apologize.
By God, the best sounding car engine! It has so many layers, it's difficult to describe. When it's started, with the low-pitched rather throaty hum, you don't really think that this thing has a high-pitched, high-revving engine! But when it soars near 9000 RPMs, it's so full of anger and energy ... it's downright scary! That high-pitched shriek at 9,000 RPM makes my hair all stand up. And when it downshifts (especially when a driver does it at proper gear / speed) ohhh ... just beautiful. It really is some instrument! Why do people have a problem with shaking needle? While this video features a fake dial (probably from a simulator), the sounds are all real and the real one does shake or vibrate a bit to display correct engine rev speeds ... which a damped analog needle won't be able to do as quickly or accurately. Also, there is no point in comparing this (or any other great car for that matter) with GTR / Porsche / Ferrarri / Lambo. They all have their own place in the auto industry and all are good in their own way. Lexus LFA is a limited production vehicle and many of the technologies and production methods / processes were developed ONLY to manufacture this car. At just 500 units, it has got to be expensive. And then you have a 10-years research time-period that has gone into it. It really is a very special and a very exclusive vehicle. Perhaps, Toyota / Lexus wanted to keep it that way. There is no denying that this is a very special car indeed. It is a true supercar, through and through. It has a soul / character all it's own. Many professional journalists / race drivers have held this car in very high praise. Why? It's all about what this car can do ... and NOT about what it can't. It's a testament to the fact the Toyota / Lexus decided to build one ... with their own vision and ideology. They wanted people to share that excitement .. and for a first supercar project, it has been a wonderful showcase of passion, performance, technology, etc. The didn't care how fast it goes or how much it costs (this project was never intended to be a profitable one). They just wanted to do it their own way and they have done exactly that. What's wrong with that? Kudos to every single person who was involved in creation of this magnificent automobile. It is a labor of love and will forever remain a true classic. And oh, you can't ever have enough of a good thing, can you? (Kami)
Believe it or not, the speedometer and tach on an LFA is ALL DIGITAL. Why? Because that little V10 revs SO DAMN FAST AND HIGH, an analog speedo CANNOT keep up and WILL destroy itself! During development, Lexus destroyed 12 of the damn things before they decided “fuck it”, and made it digital! And yes, it CAN make a digital tach needle bounce like that!
exactly what brought me here, I hate digital dashes for that and that reason only, they lag as hell and are freakin ugly. The physical dials are just perfect and if digital dashes are able to replicate their look, then I'm fine with that, but for now a lot needs to improve
When I got the whole story from Yamaha instrument industry, which dicided to focus on makin the V10 sound different, the resulting orchestra gets me shakin good!
Thank you toyota for this amazing Lexus LFA the engine Toyota put inside I have millions of words to say I nearly pee my pass when I heard that fist gear this car is like a gtr just without a v6
Flipping hell ? That shit sounds Freaky ? It's like there's some Demons screaming from within the engine, I love the LFA, but God damn that engine sounds scary, Ferraris and Lambo sound exotic, whereas the LFA sounds like there's some evil Demons screaming at you,
Yep! That engine certainly feels alive, the scream as it nears Redline is out of this world, no car sounds quite like this car, apart from maybe an old F1 car. Yamaha certainly did an incredible job with the soundtrack. Without doubt the greatest sounding production car off all Time. Plus that sound isn't just for show or to impress people on the outside, Lexus made a tunnel directly from the engine bay into the cabin so the driver gets to hear some of that Scream.
For me, this is by far the best sounding engine of ANY production car, period.
Its definitely up there for me. It sounds so damn responsive too, I'd love to try one.
I would agree with you, you can tell this is a proper drivers car, it's not for the faint hearted! It sounds Brutal
Carrera GT comes pretty damn close, though. High revving V10's are music to my ears.
Amazing sound too, huh?
