- Bavaria is the largest German territory. Its typical atmosphere is given by little towns and villages. Wooden shells, high red tiled roofs with many little skylights, old signboards, town walls, ancient churches, domes and steeples, narrow streets and riverbanks, huge green areas and many flowers take us to a wonderfully calm and merry world. Beside the well known Octoberfest holder Munich and the medieval older town look keeper Nuremberg, Regensburg and Augsburg there are castles like the romantic Neuschwanstein that are waiting for the traveller. There are glittering lakes in the green pinewood like the Königssee and the Chiemsee, and mountaintops like the snow-capped Zugspitze. Though Bavaria is only one territory within the German territories everyone can feel it is quite different from the others. It is richer, friendlier and its atmosphere is more delightful than the country’s other territories.

Eagles Nest was not blown up. The Berghof was blown up. Eagles Nest is a big visitors attraction because of the most amazing views
It’s so sad that Augsburg only got a minute or two, they should have shown the Fuggerei and the Dom, also the Augsburger Puppenkiste is so unique!!
Great video, Eagles Nest is way up in the mountains and is still there. I think it has been turned into a restaurant and a museum near by.

Interesting that about Walhalla having that replica of the Parthenon in Athens. It makes me think of that one in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. I wonder how the two would compare. It seems like the Nashville one would be more realistic.

The Eagle's Nest is still there, and is visited by tourists all the time. Hitler's residence was called the Berghof, which was destroyed. All that is left is the house seat. All around it is now a small ski resort.
This information in wrong. Hitler's "Berghof" villa was dynamited after the war, but not the Eagle's Nest, which can still be visited.

Fun, but most comments below fit. It talks about parks, lakes, and hills while showing houses. The events in Wagner's life are completely off track, but we get to see most of what we wanted to see
...most important will be to stay in Cities and not these horrifying upper bavarian villages!

Cool footage but narrattion often not on synch with images being shown.

Beautiful Bavaria , Lovely presentation . Narration can do with synchronisation , at present it's way off , focussing on one subject and talking about another causing some confusion .And please don't just read from the script ,do some emoting .

the boats on the königssee are not exactly "speedboats", they are electrical boats, built before WW II , because the use of petrol motors is forbidden on the lake (apart from the fisherman, or the transport of the cows) :-) the water has drinkwater quality
This is wrong. The Eagles Nest is still there. I’ve been to it. Open to the public from May to October. Not anyone can say they’ve gotten drunk at Hitler’s house like I have lol

The music is horrible and nowhere near to traditional local music, pictures and narration don't match and you missed out important places. Bamberg's medieval city center is Unesco world cultural heritage and you didn't even mention. Someone needs to do his homework first before posting.
