Hey Family! 😃We want to help you overcome any hesitation to installing an electrical outlet 🔌 with easy to follow instructions! ruclips.net/p/PLr_OdHi7DghI7Bs5Rg6Le50OS17k6XP11
This came at just the right time. You were very detailed and I feel that it is doable. I liked that you don't have to cut out and insert the box but that it is mounted to back of cabinet. The zip ties also a great idea. Just staple them out of the way. Thanks you two are awesome.
Toni, timing is everything. We hope that it helps you while you're doing your project. Stapling the zip ties to the back helped immensely. You definitely don't have to cut a hole in the wall to make a new outlet. We always appreciate you. Best, -DIYPC 😃✨
We had to learn the right way to handle electricity so it wouldn't be so scary anymore. Turning it off at the fuse box and using a voltage ⚡ tester really helped with eliminating the fear. Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. -DIYPC 😃✨
Wow!! This video is honestly so well done! I love DIY projects and I know that when I need to do this, this video is my go too! You both have great personalities and explain it in such a great way! Thank you for this!
That's weird you couldn't use the same plug because my dishwasher and garbage disposal (light switch) are plugged into the same outlet. I even had a touchless faucet installed and it's plugged in too. Of course, I had to get an adapter to plug in three items. Anywho, I want to install smart light switches above my top cabinets without running cords on the ceiling to get from one side to anohter. Doing this will solve that problem. Thanks for posting!
Very strong possibility that only the top outlet that the garbage disposal is plugged into is on a switch. That’s the way ours is. Bottom one for dishwasher not on the switch.

I love her voice so soothing she sounds like a quiet storm or jazz Dj at a radio station 😂
Hi Christina! Thanks for the compliment...love the quiet storm😊🤣🥰🤣
@@DIYPowerCoupleexactly my sentiments! Very intelligently done! Thanks!
Really nice video thank you. When wiring your outlet the wires need to wrap around the other way though.

great intro video. Did you upgrade to a GFCI outlet later to reduce the chance of electrocution?
Thank you. We did it this way first then decided to change it out to a GFCI outlet.

You should always twist wire in same direction as you twist the connector screw on the outlet.
Thanks for the tip.
Thank you for sharing
Thanks! Very useful. :)
Does it need to be on a 20A breaker?
Not necessarily, it should match the breaker in the fuse box.
Shouldn’t it be a gfci outlet, though?
Yes, we had to change it once we realized it. ☺️
I was about to leave same comment
When terminating devices...always start with wire left of terminal and hook to the right (4:26)
Great video
So helpful! Ty!!! P.s. you could side hustle as an Asmrtist. :)
National code requires a GFCI outlet. Not a good install.
We can change it to a GFCI outlet. Thanks for your comment.
