I've got the surge, and while using a double pedal will decrease the volume, this can easily be counterracted by simply turning up the kick drum volume in the drum module. Hope this helps
Hi, thanks for your comment. It would certainly make the bass drum louder, however it doesn't increase the velocity that the pad registers, which would affect someone using this for recording using the stock sounds, or live performance.
@RhythmRoomMusicSchool Oh I see. I hadn't thought of that. I'm an intermediate player, so I guess for someone my level it's less noticeable 😅 If I ever get good enough to need to record myself, I'll probably get an upgrade anyway 😊
I've had a Surge kit my home studio for a couple of years now and enjoy it. This seems like a good, accurate review imo/fwiw. Re dual kick pedals - I wonder if part of the volume difference is due to the size of the strikers in use in this video. Would smaller, (more concentrated impact) units - similar to the stock pedal - make a difference in terms of the velocity sensors?
Hi, thanks for the review. I‘ve got mine bought used since today. Can you please confirm, that the headphone volume is really low?!? Or is my module defect. Thanks for a short feedback.
@@RhythmRoomMusicSchool Yeah, I was new to this, so I thought plugging the kit directly to the PC via USB might work. So if I want to record on my computer, I need an amp right? Thank you for your explanation.
Hi Ayush, thanks for the comment, your best bet is to put it on a small rug or if you can put the whole kit on a rug that's even better. You can buy specialist drum rugs online or alternatively, a domestic choice is an option too.

I’m pretty sure the only difference between the Surge and the Command kits is the module - the pads and everything else are identical.
Hi there. Do I need to buy extra amplifier or just this kit to jam?
Hi, thanks for the comment, you will need something to hear the kit on, so an amp or headphones will suffice.

@@hellonearth.666no one answered you but you can go audio out into your interface or use midi.
What about misfires?
How I can stop my bass drum tower from moving?

Maybe this could help with the double bass issue: ruclips.net/video/T3Jte9xPnb4/видео.html
