Condensed milk is sweetened by definition, almost. It can be found unsweetened, but it's rare. Desiccated coconut is available both ways, but most (and the kind I use for this) are unsweetened. And I use a low sugar chocolate (85%). The condensed milk provides plenty of sugar all by itself.

leave the chocolate in the double-boiler, just turn off the burner ...... the chocolate will remain fluid and you don't have to hurry .
