"Any dates?"
"I think it was in Belgium"
Sometimes i think its a small miracle that Ricky Gervais of all people met karl
Not just because hes funny beyond belief but also that Ricky is probably the only person in the world who can speak to him in certain ways and get the very best of his Karl moments out of him
If Ricky wasn't so lazy the entire trio wouldn't exist 😅
I've started to say 'play a record' whenever some one says something stupid.
James Keane hahaha
Oh yeah? Good for you. Play a record.
Absolute twaddle. Play a record.
I’m gonna burst !
You're a fool! Play a record!
1:47:36 when Mad World fades in is possibly the most perfect moment in radio history
Karl is a genius
No the most perfect moment is when karl was right about the lighthouse light being off during the day and steve coming to his rescue followed by his triumphant scream
@@ankakul5530 Karl has WON!
@@martymcfly5528 waheheheheeeyy!!
Come on Steve. Come on Steve, you're making this a mockery.... so the budgie's depressed because he can sense a ghost, yeah?
I've been laughing so hard at that for months now
The only radio station where i enjoy the talking more than the music
"...never saw the man 'ole cover again!" Is the bit that kills me every time. Perfectly sums up Karl's ability to find the most ordinary story inexplicable or supernatural.
0:44:09 the nuclear experiment / manhole cover one is true
@43:47 is one of Ricky's best ever laughs - you can just hear all the air leaving his body.
I honestly STILL listen to these XFM Podcasts/Podfather Series/RGS while relaxing & trying to fall asleep. Still hilarious.
Me too thought I was the only one :)
Completely thought I was the only human in the world who found these 3 (mostly Karl) to be the best mood enhancing and relaxing humans in the world.
deborahmpa1 I'd compare it to transcendental meditation for comedy fans....I'll set an 9 hour Playlist so I know it's still on when I wake up. ;) Seasons 1-3 of XFM I've probably cycled through 50 times each. It's therapeutic. I've even got some Audible Downloads on my phone for on-the-go situations.
Same here. Finding it hard to find new material but still enjoy cycling through the old stuff.
I do the exact same thing! I'm glad I'm not the only one :)
I love how jealous Ricky and Steve are when they hear that Karl's been hanging out with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
This is not a radio show. It is the televised slow breakdown of Ricky Gervais' mind as his unstoppably stubborn inquisitive nature tries to penetrate the mind of Karl Pilkington.
He bashes his head against Karl's in a futile attempt to understand and is eventually driven quite literally to the breaking point.
If you listened to XFM back in the day, over the course of time you could actually hear the wear and tear on Ricky's mind. He was slowly losing it. He was just getting increasingly more and more aggravated by every single thing Karl said.
It was the most pure form of art we will ever see.
Where can I find the old XFM shows and the old podcasts?
+John Smith ManMoth is the man to go to. x
+BigJamook thanks
+BigJamook I still want a tattoo of a moth with a big round manc Karl Pilkington head
+emweeriot Do it and send me a link. x
This shadow/bike story is by far the most hilarious thing ive ever heard.
every night I listen to the podcasts to fall asleep too. sheer brilliance!
+Ross Jarvis same here, I'm addicted to listening to them before I sleep, but sometimes Ricky's laugh wakes me up haha.
+Scott Ellison i do that often as well
I fuxin love these 3
Me too but I will hear a funny moment from karl and be wide awake crying with laughter
They never get old
1:47:40 The slow fade into the calm music as Ricky is screaming his head off is just magical XD
"Did they sort out the fire in your oven..............................That your WIFE told us about?"
I've always wondered how do u have a fire in an oven ?
@@ryanedwards177 yh but what would be wrong with that ?
@@15-Peter-20well I nearly had a fire in the oven the other day.. i didn't take the cardboard off the bottom of a pizza .. novice mistake lol
It's got a naked flame at the back like
These guys honestly make me so happy.
Same! There is no funnier podcast/radio show.
“Where did you get this?”
*rustling paper
“Internet.”
"Oh, sor-ry, sor-ry, I thought it was shhhite."

Mad innit
The pork chop story had me in tears!
Always one of my favorites as well!
Of couse it wasn't!
Literally died on the "manhole cover on the atomic bomb"-thing
how does he make these words come out of his mouth
I just love the feller, I love him.
You LITERALLY died? Well...
misterfox that is genuinely a true story, though the explination might not have been amazing ahah.
@@samuelmalley6795 Karl has a special talent of taking real stories and filtering them into actual bollocks
It was the baby that had the power
I still come back to these clips all these years later, I often used to listen to the podcasts in the gym or on the train and get the dodgiest looks for laughing to myself!
"IT WAS A JACKET!!!"
"Ohhhhh"
That pork chop story is probably the funniest anecdote I've ever heard. How Ricky didn't collapse into a cackling fool is beyond me.
Went inside her how? Like up her ass or something or just absorbed "inside her" fat ass?!..x
He's mentioned this since then, he meant like, attached to her skin 😂
She boiled her brain. LMFAO
There's a shadow somewhere....... Hahahahahahahah
You're not alone. I fell in love with the podcasts and radio shows because I felt like I was part of their stupid conversations. As you said it kept the loneliness at bay.
Your videos are cures for anxiety, hangover, hangover-anxiety, depression, insomnia and crippling boredom. Thank you dearly
I love it when moments like 1:25:55 occur. I love it when Karl says something and Steve just gives out a sort of high pitch squeak meanwhile i can imagine Ricky is just sat next to him looking at karl thinking "What the fuck is this twaddle" hahaha
It was pushing people off the bikes.
Karl believing the size 36 Levi's story is an incredible moment.
his mind is so innocent and childlike it's actually quite sweet haha
"Got a job on radio, he were normal." HAHAHAHA I love these guys.
2022 and I’m still falling asleep to this 😂 unreal podcast !
I discovered this whole body of work when I was going through a dull, down, skint, rubbish period in my life - but these three kept me cheered up all the way through it. Now things are great for me, and one of the reasons why is stuff like this compilation. I salute you boys.
I love that Karl's basis on the hairy Chinese kid being weird wasn't that he was absurdly hairy for not only a person but a child, but that he was hairy for a Chinese person. Also the idea that people in China were thinking like Karl and going "boy we're normally not that hairy! How weird is that?"
It's not his Volt!
They often mention their failure to win radio awards and critical acclaim with this show, and receive "constructive criticism" from other radio personalities of the time. Nearly 15 years on do those others enjoy the same success and cult following as these three?
This particular brand of absolute twaddle doesn't date very much. If it were more factual, satirical or politically relevant it would have been forgotten by now.
+Century22 IKR. I don't even hear about any other radio shows from Europe, let alone podcasts.
I mean parts was turned into a HBO show. If it wasn’t uniquely shit it wouldn’t have been on HBO
R: Why are you whispering?
K: Cause it's like "oooh..."
R: It's not illegal to talk about ghosts on the radio.
K: No no, but I'm...
S: It's eerie.
“Stuck some bacon on his head.” “Everyone loves a bit of bacon.”
ABSOLUTE TWADDLE
ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.
Oh don't talk shit karl....
+Daisy Chambers noooo
"Cant see the baby in it, chucking the baby out the window with the bath water"
I am dying of laughter haha
Honestly the best bid of media to come out of the 2000’s so much to listen to and it’s all gold
The bit about the man going into the doctors with a bad ear had me in tears for about 20 minutes!
'Jaffa cakes.....they can cure..cancer.'
AbbieIs AKilljoy your fit x
Well, not fully.
26:29 28:06 I love Karl's genuine reactions to this twaddle lmaooo
It's crazy to think this was on daytime radio. Not only the swearing from Ricky but also half the topics they discuss. Love it 😂
I know that xfm is done and finished but I actually listen to this so much. I listen to These podcasts at work and even when I'm in bed trying to sleep. Good stuff man, old material never gets old.
These XFM shows were top class!! Still listen to them from start to finish at least once a year. Funny as fuck!!
Once a year?!
You don't even dabble, man.
Wait till you have a full blown, everyday addiction! x
'What do you reckon you could do without a head then?' !
never saw that manhole cover again
Who's still listening to this today? I listen while feeling asleep.
Ditto!
cant believe how many times I've listened to Karl & company and STILL makes me laugh even though I've heard every podcast.
26:32
"Ohh noo" xD
Played that over & over for weeks and it just gets funnier :')
this is the best compilation of karl ever!!!
"Your soul weighs an ounce"
"Your ass-soul weighs an ounce"
I'll knock u out !!!
"He's a slightly laughable man, but a great artist."
Still listen to these 3 everyday! Wish they would sit down together again and make some more about all the technology that’s came out and being designed
Ricky's laugh is hysterical. It's so loud and catches on and it just makes the situation funnier.
So they wrapped some bacon...
Sure they did, everyone loves a smell of bacon.
1:23:50 "how do birds fly, well if you're going to be like that, tallest buliding is..." LMAO
+Phil Moufarrege Karl is the best
I feel the same. I was going through depression last year and listening to these actually helped me. Humor helps.
Seven years later and the same for me. Hope you are happy & healthy! Humor indeed helps 😊
the twaddle parts were my favourite parts of the shows
Karl is the biggest troll and he does not realise it.
43:38 thats a good laugh there.
Karl trying fade out Ricky at 15:05
Xdd
I will never understand why they can’t do a charity show just once in this shitty time of life
My favourite thing about the execution stories is that Karl proclaims there to have been the same number of steps as there were blinks in the first story: 32.
The Boston Shadow is the greatest anecdote ever and it ends with the greatest sentence ever spoken
so glad you created & uploaded these cool videos. love em.
Anyone else still here in 2022?
I work alone, these podcasts really help me man.
"Well...budgies are always a bit chirpy aren't they."
I'm crying
How you got this down to 1hr50 is beyond me.
Boils 'er brain.
"Years ago, when it was all mental and different"
These are perfect to listen too whilst revising. Love these
Man alive
I thought he was gonna say 'the next day the baby was hopping around acting like a Parrot'
This might be my favorite RSK compilation!
Play a record. . . .
Best compilation on RUclips
My balls are green
It was pushing people of there bikes .... Gets me every time hahaha
A fire that didn't happen, a wife that didn't exist, and a cat that didn't look happy.
Brilliant.
I'm with you guys. I've heard all the episodes I can find, and I relisten to them at least once a year. I laugh every time.
"IT'S A JACKET"
"....Oh!!"
This is the best video on the internet. BTW thanks a lot for uploading all these compilations. I downloaded ALL the podcasts/radio shows, but love hearing the 'best bits' despite most of the shows being golden!
When I'm ill these guys always make me feel better.
Just noticed you actually hear Karl laugh at 09:58
i was so happy when i thoughjt it was just ricks reactions xD that would be a brilliant compilation, just like the first few secs of this
Thank you so much for this. Just had eye surgery and can't really watch anything, so thiss is perfect.
36:31 baby that had the power. what power? the power of voodoo. who do? you do. do what? remind me of the babe.
Fucking tune.
Hahaha Great movie!!!
Same. I downloaded every single one of their podcasts. XFM, Ricky Gervais Show, specials, guides, etc. I just have it on repeat on itunes. It just makes you feel better.
Also, This is one of few things that can almost ALWAYS lift me mood, if im feling down this will normaly cheer me up, not because of how bloody funny it is, but because Ricky has such a dirty infectious laugh.
"And as he was passing the window, the phone was ringing"
"Oh no"
You're absolutely brilliant. Not many of my friends share my love for karl so I can't share this but I will subscribe. Please keep making compilations ! They are amazing "
It's a baby that had the power
i like Karls origin story for how lego got its name alot more than the actual one xd
What I love most is how much Ricky says 'shit', 'twat' etc. on a live mainstream Saturday afternoon radio show.
just realised the coincidence, he blinked 32 times and he walked 32 steps lol, I love karl
OMG I noticed that too LOL Carl makes Connections in such an obvious way as I doubt he even noticed it LOL
Great comp!
