Thanks, man! That means a lot coming from you. I binged a bunch of your content yesterday and it's creators like you that inspire me to continue creating. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏾
i don't do video, I shoot stills, but this was a very easy to watch and listen to Video, brilliantly done and put together man. Lovely - I'll get the 28-70 for my fp L
Howdy Dylan! Would love to see you try out some budget anamorphic lens with Sigma FP!! Been recently looking into the Sirui Saturn Full-frame Carbon Fiber Anamorphic Lens. They are super compact and light weight. Was wondering how well would they pair up with FP? Your review of the lens set would certainly help make an educated decision! :)
Would love to check some anamorphic lenses out. I’m just getting back into producing content after a long paternity break. I’ll add this to the list. What’s been your favorite anamorphic lens thus far?
@@DylColeman Personally I like the 50mm lens from the Sirui full-frame Saturn series. I think it looks great. I know they also offer a 35mm and a 75mm in the set. Would love to get your expert opinion over them! :)
@@DylColeman Haha, so I finally triggered that bug of curiosity within you. 35mm seems good, but I think it looks a little too wide for my liking. Especially considering that it’s anamorphic, you get more room horizontally which basically makes it look like a 25/28 mm lens. This makes me like the 50mm more as it is not too wide and the bokeh looks nice imo.
Hey Dylan, what a great video. I was wondering about these two lenses. I love Sigma’s Art lenses but they are a bit heavy. I am using these adapted on a Nikon Z mount. After watching this video I think I will go with the Contemporary Lens. Thanks for helping me. Look forward to watching your other videos as I subscribe to your channel after watching this one Thanks. Scott.
I would go with the Arts series lol. When you blow it up on full screen, the clarity makes a hell of a difference. The Art may cost more, but the final result out preform lenses two maybe three times more expensive.
I have been contemplating over ultrawide lenses on L mounts on my fp. Sigma 17mm f4 seems nice but being f4 only is not enough, going for m-mount option with small adapters m to L mount with voigtlander 15mm 4.5 seems cheaper but again f4.5. Such a dilemma 🤷♂️
This might come across harsh but it is meant as constructive criticism: Let's say I read the title and then clicked. The video is 6:40 or exactly 400 seconds. After about 1:40 or exactly 1/4 of the video I have not gotten a single piece of additional information the title didn't provide. The next segment is mostly a mixture of specs, sigma PR text and B-roll. Now that we have passed the 50% mark of the video comes the sample footage, just about 30 seconds of fast cuts between the two lenses, never enough to really look after details in the shot and none of it in challenging conditions. Up next: less than 15 seconds of 1:1 comparison shots and another 15 seconds playing during the verdict. THIS! THOSE 30 SECONDS is what I wanted to see more of. That is the -> vs
Appreciate the feedback. I'm always looking for ways to improve the content I make and honestly, very specific criticism like this is quite helpful. I've been working on "getting to the point" in my videos and adding value while still trying to inject some personal insight and storytelling. That being said, thanks for watching.
I had both of those lenses and the 24-70 is better in almost every respect and nevertheless I returned it. All because of size and weight, it's just not fun to shoot with that monster. Now Sigma is readying v2 of that lens and if it turns out to be as small/light as Sony then I might reconsider.
This is one of the best aesthetic and concise videos that explains and compares with tons of visual elements.
Thank you! That compliment really means a lot. I spend a lot of time on being both informative and polished 😊
Amazing video! Love the message from the start!
The details on the video from start to finish . From the intro through to the animation and sound design is awesome ! Great video mate keep it up 👍
Thank you so much! I spend a lot of time on all those elements so it really means a lot that you appreciated them 🥰 Thanks for watching!
Your welcome ! @@DylColeman
Very helpful; I am thinking of trying the FPL with contemporary series.
Contemporary looks darker on darker images. Video looks great. Color correction on point
Interesting. Perhaps low light performance should have been one of my criteria 🤔
Nice intro man. 🔥🔥 story telling.

Very helpful, beautiful and honest video. Thanks for the comparison!

I own the 28-70mm and its my go to lens. I love it
Tu estilo para hacer videos es unico. No me había topado con una intro asi! 😅 sigue creciendo!!
Thank you!
Very tasteful comparasion. I enjoyed this a lot!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
I can’t wait till they release the 28-70 f2 version
Nice. Is this true. What source did you found it. It would be great
Love this video! Exactly what I was looking for!

is this the v2 lens?
This is the video I need!❤
Glad you found it useful!
thank you you are just practical about these lenses..
You’re welcome!
Very refreshing content! Will be following…. 🎉
Thanks! New content dropping next week! First video after baby
More likely one will add the sigma 16-28 to their lens line up anyway so they will have 24 mm if need be.

Bro this is quality content, just subscribed 👌🏾
Thanks dude!
Very high quality video brother!
Thanks!
Hit the target on this one 🎯🎯🎯
Has the 24-70 still problems with accumulating dust?
Wouldn’t know, unfortunately. I was only able to use it for a couple weeks before returning to Sigma
Newer ones have it fixed from what I’ve heard
Good review and comparison. Thank you.
Thanks! You’re very welcome
@@DylColeman Are there any noticeable differences between the lenses when it comes to autofocus speed/noise/accuracy?

Agreed. If you have the extra dough, the Art series is a nice is a great choice

thanks for video ❤

When putting a lot of effort and time into determening minute differences buy the cheapest and take pictures 😀
Yes! The lenses I use the most these days are the ones I got for free or under $100 🤷🏾♂
@@DylColeman Got two Voigtlanders on Sony A7 and sometimes completely shocked how nice the €250 kitlens (28-70) can be 😂

Tough decision. I agree, f/4 isn't fast enough. It's hard to find good, fast glass that's also cheap. Would love to know what you land on
💖💖🔝🔝
What about the OS hsm 24-70 art
Good question. I haven’t had the chance to use that piece of glass. Have you? What’s your experience been with it?

Yeah I prefer smaller, lighter lenses every time. The vintage Nikkor 35mm f/2 almost never comes off my fp now
Nice review’ guess the same.
Thanks!
Neither. Go with the leica SL series.
Expensive though yeah? If I ever have the extra budget to splurge on glass, I'll definitely have to check those out

Got any sample images/video with those?
