I'm really on the fence between the R10 and the nikon z50ii for my first camera. I say on the fence because I'm still waiting on more in-depth reviews/comparisons
@ Yeah the z50ii looks like a worthy opponent against the R10! What do you want to use the camera? I actually like the Nikon on Specs! A bit larger sensor, larger screen. Weather sealed body. Headphone jack, waveform, headphone jack. What i am afraid of with the Nikon: Slower shutter speed for taking photos, Small Battery capacity, WAY more less focus point than the R10. So yeah, what do you want to shoot? And what do you want to see about the R10? 🔥
OOh thank you! :) Woow that's cool, so it was like a chirstmas present :P You're gonna love the camera, it's very capable. Just practice and you can drop a comment anytime if you have questions about it. What lens you have for it? Kit?
Wow very nice bro, and very good video Soon am gonna buy Canon r10 that my good camera cheap and specs all is good for beginner photography and videography Thank you for this video bro🔥🔥
Yeah it is a pretty good started camera. But even for more experienced people too. I know it can be expensive, but what lens you consider? The kit lens? (Recommend to check out the SIGMA RF line now too)
I am looking at the R10 and the Nikon Z50ii. My concern is the weather. I live in a rainy area Washington State. Will I be OK with the R10? I don’t plan on going out in the rain but it happens. So what is your opinion ? Thanks
I am living in Denmark and it's Rainy like 80% of the year >< And because of that i miss a lot of opportunities because I'm not going out into the rain. Even if it's just a small rain. I would trust a little bit more in a weather sealed body. Like the Z50ii If you like Nikon go for it. But if you know that in the future you want to invest more canon gear, then go for canon. If you have the budget an R7 would be the best. Weather sealed, IBIS, LOG and a lot more. You want to take pictures or video?
Your video quality rocks! Very beautiful colors. Just bought R 10 and with kit lens it is dark in the room. If I buy 50 mm 1.8f mm lens, can I get the exact same colors you have? I believe you used HDRQ, 4k mode here and also lightning plays crucial role, but can you suggest how to get similar quality video that you have with r 10) Thanks! Can you share some settings?
Thank you man! By your writing i can see that you already know important things! :) I know, kit lens is terrible with light. f4. something to start with?! :| However an 50mm 1.8 would be PERFECT! One little thing with that. You need a big room then.. Because the 50mm on an APS-C sensor is 80mm field of view because of crop :| And if you move the camera waaay back to fit the frame, you need a very good microphone, or a wireless one. I would rather go for the 16mm 2.8 (I also shot on 2.8) And not more expensive than the 50mm. Indeed, lighting is more important! I used 5 different lighting techniques here >< 1x 120w keylight, 1x 60w rimlight, 2x pocket light at the back and one white sheet to bounce some light on my other side of my face. That's why it's soo nice and crispy. AND because i controlled all the lights in a dark room, you actually don't need HDR PQ for 10 bit. I shot this on 8bit! I intentionally wearing a nice yellow t-shirt to popp me out from the background :D And the setting was a basic 24fps, 1/50 shutter, f/2.8 and ISO, who knows. Somewhere around 400. SORRY for the big text here, but i think i answered everything ☺
Hi, great video. I have a DSLR and I want to take seriously the photography now (portraits and sports). Would you recommend the r10? Or maybe invest more $$?
Hey thanks! I believe that you already have a basic knowledge of camera settings and things like that. I would go further than the R10. It's perfect for a totally beginner, learn how to use a camera in and out on a "budget" But the next step would be an R7 or R8 instead of the 10. Better low light with the R8, better quality with R7 (against the R10) R7 has a 32MP sensor. More space for cropping and with the aps-c sensor, more reach with any lens. Perfect for sports from distance. And the R8 is a cool choice because of the Fullframe sensor. Better low light, wider view, clean background blur. I would go more in depth with these cameras first!
I got brand new canon r10 with kit lens 18-45mm for 770 Euros on Blackfriday aktion ... Also Canon offered Winter Aktion Cashback 100 euro so i got for 670 pretty good camera... I can recommend canon ef 50mm 1.8 STM with adapter which is very good for taking portraits (equivalent is 80mm on full frame ) and you can get it very cheap i paid 50eur for used lens (seller told me she was using this lens only one time ) .. Nice video btw ;)
Thank you for the support! :) AND! Yes, this is a pretty good choice. Ton's of lens options (with adapter even more), good deals. And nice choice with used gear. Nothing wrong with it. :) What are you shooting with the R10?
Did you buy it in Dortmund by any chance? I have seen r 10 exactly in Saturn and when I tried to buy, staff told me that someone has already bought it online and that was the last one, so I had to buy it in my country 😂
It depends on the enviroment you want to shoot. If you want to shoot on the bright sunny day with the blue sky but you have a lot of shadow also at the same time, you'll get better result with HDR PQ. If you shoot a normally lit, studio enviroment, or not too bright and dark image at the same time, you can go with 8 bit easily! I shot this whole video on 8 bit. And HDR PQ is also good if you know that you want to colorgrade the video soo much. Because it will have A LOT MORE color data against 8 bit.
@reyesprofuctionDk as i have a canon r10 so i have no log profile only standard profiles and 8 bit footage. But i also have hdr pq 10 bit available. Im still new to color grading so what do you recommend for me? Also i dont have the paid version of resolve so does that mean i cant edit hdr pq footage in davinci resolve?
@@iTrippyy Yeah, sadly free version of Davinci won't support that H.265 10 bit codec. You can use a program called "Handbrake" to decode into something else, but it's just time consuming.. :| I think you can do a lot with 8 bit. If you won't start making high end feature films where you have to colorgrade the hell out of it, you'll be okay with the 8 bit.
As a beginner just starting and later getting the Canon R10, what 3 main lenses would you consider? Both zoom and prime. I may go into photography but my main lineup would be videography.
I thin kas a totally beginner and you don't even have the camera yet, i would focus on 1 lens only. A nice zoom! Because at first you won't need any specific focal lenght. With a 18-50mm f2.8 you will be able to create everything you need. Might looking for something with images stabilizer but i think if only the lens has stabilizer, won't do magic. So i would go for a versatile zoom. I used the 24-70mm 2.8 but that's a bit pricy. AND. If money doesn't matter here are my own desires in lens choices for videos: 24-70mm 2.8 70-200mm 2.8 and a 16mm 1.4
@ That's true. It's more outdated and lacking agaisnt the 6700. The Sony a bit more expensive too. The R10 is perfect for totally beginners. Learn how to use camera and maybe when they do, produce nice photos/videos with good quality. But i would also go for the Sony. (Also because i want to switch to sony)
J'utilise mon Canon r10 depuis 1 an avec mes anciens objectifs EFS Canon 50mm F1.8, Sigma contemporary 17/70 puis d'autres Canon. J'adore cet appareil, la visée est de moyenne qualité au niveau affichage mais sinon le reste est top.

@@ejvali Good choice. I haven't try the new sigma but yeah, they don't have stabilizer and it's too lightweight. 😅
