If you can’t make a material, don’t try to use that material. They tried using welding on the T-34 when no one knew how to weld, didn’t work so great.
By contrast, they had plenty of people who could be taught to make plywood components. Not AS strong, but still pretty light and strong
I can already tell that there’s going to be a lot of 2 shotting la-5 memes.
The ammo reserve is very generous IMO, just look at A6Ms and Yak-9T

this review was so unexpected, I didn't even detect it till a bit later
It's faster than a F4 and G2 at sea level but the gap decreases with alt. It turns better than a 109
@@sherlocksinha2435 but have some disadvantage at vertical maneurability and stallfight.
I prefer to take it out without the armour, performs better that way.
Same here the engine gets shot out faster anyway or your plane gets fucked before your pilot dies so any extra performance is always welcome also I know it's a late reply xd

Help how do I play it, do I just climb higher that the enemy and if not what do I do if I am below and they dive on me?(La-5)
@@jorgeespinal5591 side climb to gain the altitude advantage or just stay low altitude and draw enemies down

Honestly as Russian speaker I laughed so hard, when I did read skill requitements for La-5 pilots (about vodka, borsch and bread)

La-9 Is not featured here due to being evolutionarily unrelated to the previous planes, it was a whole new design from the ground up.

Tier 2 La-5 is also dank like her sisters on tier 3
Yak9 is yum but this time that gorgeous la5 taken over.
Yak-1B is anyway better option. One of the stallfight monsters at his BR, only Zero can beat it or Spit 2B can be opponent in this type of clash. Yak-1B can simply hang 99% of enemies with its absurdely low stall speed, and turn to counterattack after it with absurdely gorgeous acceleration.

I like that the la9 is too shit to even mention xD
La-9 is actually quite good, it just comes with typical soviet teams that will leave you in a 1v5 situation almost every match. But it is still a very capable plane with excellent performance and handling below 4 km, as well as deadly armament and sufficient ammo that allows for a maximum of 4-6 kills from one reload in case you have enough trigger discipline
@@1rb1s_ yah I agree I love the thing, but I was more referring to the abysmal climb rate for the BR. Both versions of the La-7 are better imo but it's just subjective

@@leojennings2438 idk La-9 is good... it climbs nice to me... also 4x 23mm guns go brrr...
Btw here's a tip... you know how you can bind a key to fire small caliber and large caliber guns? Well you can fire small caliber guns on La-9 and bind the key to fire all guns...
So basically this means you can fire 2x 23mm guns that have 150 rounds... fire them all the way to 0... then switch to other 2x 23mm guns and fire them too... instead of shooting all 4 guns xD
