its a pain in the neck when they always ask single travellers to change their seats. I experienced that several times before but refused most of the time. But once someone came up to me and asked which the flight attendent noticed and told that person to leave me alone. Loved it !
Actually slight correction there, after takeoff; when the engines spool down, this is because the plane sets climb thrust. Before departure pilots calculate a certain amount of thrust they need to get off the ground. The plane calculates a set amount of power for the climb. How large this spool down is depends on the amount of power used during takeoff, the more power used the larger the spool down will be. Noise abatement procedures are done by minimum altitudes, maximum altitudes and turns. Noise abatement is about the position the aircraft flies over not the amount of thrust.
It's usually because ATC tells them what speed they need to go. An aircraft with full throttle will easily exceed the 250kt speed limit within bravo airspace
Also, this business class hard and soft product is seriously impressive for a low cost airlines. Most low cost carriers offer recliners in business class and tray meals with glass plateware. That appetizer on this low cost airline would put all US domestic first class foods to shame. And the seat is nearly a flat bed just a few degrees short. Definitely a good airline. Thanks for the video, very well done! Hope you enjoyed your flight
I'd like to say that i love watching your videos and i look forward to seeing them all the time and when i saw the title of this video i was extremely excited because I'm from the Seychelles 😊🇸🇨
Thank you!! Everything I needed to know about the business class with condor. You are a fantastic reviewer!! Best ive seen on youtube and I follow everyone ;-)
Even though only a "Leisure Airline" - read - almost LCC, this airline looks great in business class. Hope the migration from Lufthansa to Thomas Cook will continue (or even enhance) the great service.
I'm glad you refused to move your seat after booking it ahead. The couple could have done the same thing but didn't so they face the consequences! Nice flight video. Thank you!
one of the better food presentations by any airline I have seen . some of the food you have eaten on your first class flights looks a little rich for my pallet . enjoyed the flight .
Agreed that Condor Business Class is a "great surprise"! We traveled Frankfurt - Las Vegas in September, and - like yours - the dinner was amongst the best inflight dining experiences we've had. Keep up the great reviews!
Glad You Did Not Give Up Your Seat.. You Paid And Pre Booked That Seat. They Could Of Done The Same. But I Actually Blame The Steward/ess For Putting You In That Situation.
Well thank you! I like epic, building music, and I felt it fit well with the landing sequence. I am a big fan of Hans Zimmer (although this is not his music)!
Excellent video as always. Personally I gave my seat up for a family of 3 on my flight from London to Amsterdam. It wasn't a long flight obviously but I was relocated to an aisle seat which was kind of annoying because I was coming out of Heathrow and you have to be by the window because of the variety of aircraft you can view. (You can probably tell I love aviation) To be honest next time I will not because to be honest it was only a short flight and they can wait the same way I can wait. I know it kind of sucks that you can't sit together but I got my seat fair and square. The same thing also happened on my flight from Kenya to Amsterdam and I refused because sometimes people arnt that nice and they will try and take advantage of you if know what I mean. I would only give my seat up to an elderly couple because you know it may just be their last flight together or maybe it won't but I wouldn't want to take that away from them. Anyway cant wait for the next video!!!!!
Av Pro gave up my seat from heathrow to nyc to a family with a baby for two reasons: 1. Babies are annoying creatures on planes 2. Free business class🎉
I like how the flight attendant hid from you when you boarded the aircraft and did not want to be filmed. Looked like a good business class product, I mean we both know its business class from the 1990's, but i'm sure the fare was pretty good. Those 767 rest area's really crack me up, at least moving forward modern aircraft have private area's for them to sleep and not take up space for the passengers, a much added improvement. The starter looked fantastic to be honest, a very nice selection, and the snapper looked pretty good for the main, all in all it looks like a good experience. I will have a similar service on my London - Cape Town flight next month, however it will be with Thomas cook, so will be nice to see how they compare. Great video as always
Thx for your comment! Always nice to see a popular RUclipsr posting a comment here :). In fact, the Business Class product is quite young, since Condor overhauled their Business Class cabins in 2013 & 2014. Unfortunately, the fare was not cheap at all, but they are only one of two airlines that offer direct flights to the Seychelles from Europe. Enjoy your holiday in Cape Town next month. I was there last month! It's my favorite city on earth ....
Thank you, I'm looking forward to South Africa, will be a nice two week trip. It will be a real comparison flying Thomas cook to CPT and flying BA F on the A380 back from JNB. Come to think of it, I looked up the fares and you are right, not that cheap at all. Wonderful trip report, Thank you posting again.
"only cobtains the basics you would get in economy class". What airline gives economy amenity kits? I have never gotten one in economy from what I can remember
Another great video :) I have to say, I've never been asked to switch seats as I don't travel solo, but I've asked someone else to switch several times, but I've never asked that person to switch to a seat he or she didn't have in the first place. Ie. if you were to switch your seat, you should have been offered another window seat, otherwise they can't expect it in my opinion. Looking forwards to your next hotel reports. Say, do you always stay in more than one hotel during a trip, or are the videos from the same destination all different trips?
WOOW!!! Most likely for this so beautiful video I would like to give you "THREE" likes. YEAH!! Condor is my most favourite German airline, the airline,s (long-haul) destinations are so different nice and adventuresome. Always during my last DE flights the cabin-crew was very friendly and funny and the cabin-design always very clean and shiny upholstered. I deeply like these soothing multi-colorcabin-lights.
Stewie on Family guy said it best, Lady "Excuse me, do you mind if we switch seats so my family can sit all together? Stewie "No, we don't we-we don't switch." Lady 'Cause when we booked, they didn't have three together Stewie "Ma'am, ma'am, your poor planning does not constitute an emergency for me. You'll see him in Paris. Go sit down."
I would give up the seat for another window seat or if there was a good compassionate case for doing so. I did once refuse in a case like yours and got really filthy looks from the couple. Their rudeness and sense of entitlement made me sure I did the right thing. Really looking forward to the rest of this series. Seychelles is on my bucket list but I am very anxious about flying over water. I was just feeling nervous watching the in-flight video over the Med when you mentioned about the crash! :-(
I am a very nervous flyer myself, especially overwater. But traveling to the Seychelles from Europe is not that bad. It's only about one hour over the Mediterranean (with many airports close by) and 90 minutes from Africa's east coast to Mahe.
Thanks for such a nice video and your interesting comments that I want to fly with DE. As I see Condor has made a lot of improvements in busines class cabin.
I would've obliged to change seats if Condor had provided something in exchange. Perhaps a substantive amount of credited air miles, for example. Great video.
Thank you so much for all your work on these videos...I'm in the process of putting together enough miles for a First Class flight adventure of my own. Destination still TBD, but this is really giving me ideas on what to choose. Thank you again! Also, I saw your BA Calgary to London video. Yes, I'm afraid that only Air Canada has a lounge in YYC, and everyone else uses the Chinook Lounge. I do hope that someday soon, in the new wing of the airport, someone does build a second lounge (preferably Cathay Pacific)!
+the Luxury Travel Expert I am collecting on Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plus. They are partnering with Singapore Air, and I am eyeing a First class trip to Singapore...expecting it'll be in the neighbourhood of 180K-200K...
I also would not have agreed to change seats. I was once asked to give up my window seat so that a couple could sit together. It was an 8.5 hour flight and I had been delayed an extra day trying to get home after being gone four months, so I really had to refuse.
5:06 Yes, I probably would have accommodated their request, but I would have asked one of them to ask a steward or hostess to locate another window seat for me, that way the person making the request would need to help you in order to help himself. No one wants to be seen as too passive nor aggressive, just willing to help. 16:16 Gorgeous shot of the moon. Thank you.
the Luxury Travel Expert I understand. I also see your question from both a business and private perspective. Your channel is your business and provides a modest income source. Displaying a nicely formatted video with plenty of enjoyable scenery would draw more views, so yes, I understand why you would not only prefer to remain where you'd been pre-booked to sit, but also for your own personal enjoyment. From a private perspective, if you had not been video-recording your flight experience, you most likely would be fine with switching if it meant that a loving couple had to be seated separately for over 9 hours. If your travel companion and you had taken the same flight in addition to not needing to video for the views ($), would that have changed your viewpoint should you not have had the foresight to pre-book and you uneasily approached a single person and asked the same query, with your companion looking hopefully over your shoulder? Karma is a scary thing in my life as I have personal experience on being the recipient of rudeness or even downright cruelty when I had initiated it at an earlier time in my life. Karma has a way of catching up to you. Perhaps, even now, as I write this long-winded message, a perfect stranger to you and I am taking the time to share my viewpoint with a fellow human being just for the sake of perhaps giving you some of my time, my attention and maybe a helpful suggestion. I'm glad you'd asked "what would you do" in your video as it provided this opportunity to be heard. One more thing, if you don't mind: as I am a subscriber and live vicariously through your videos (as I am a homeschool Mom of two teens, it's 40 degrees, cold and wet outside, a nice and comfy 70 degrees inside with the nicely burning fire in our woodstove and a hot cup of coffee) it is a pleasure to watch what you select to consume on your travels. Would you please (1) pan SLOWLY regarding the buffets and its' offerings, taking the time to lift the lids, stir the soups, show not only the display cards but also the foodstuffs available in the various lounges you frequent, for those of us out here eating our usual breakfast fare; and (2) take the time to COMMENT on the food served in-flight. That you enjoyed it is good but a few adjectives such as hot, warm, tepid, or cold; savory, creamy, salty, or "this fish was nicely broiled, firm but flaky with a hint of sweetness" or "the mustard sauce was a bit overpowering" or "what were you supposed to schmear the rocket emmentaler cheese spread on when you had only a chocolate croissant as a bread item"? No cracker or melba toast? 'Felt sorry for you as that crunchy texture probably would have been enjoyable for you. I'm always looking for recipe inspiration as the likelihood of my traveling to far-off distant places and enjoying the wide variety of tastes, textures and smells is zero to none. I'm perfectly happy to stay right here, safe and sound amongst the snow-covered mountains of the Pacific Northwest and sip my hot beverage whilst you have sand between yours toes in Seychelles. Thank you for listening.
Thank you for your taking the time for writing down your thoughts. Regarding the window seat, in fact, it has nothing to do with my channel, footage and earnings. I am a very nervous flyer, and I feel much less stressed in a window seat (where I can look outside) as compared to an aisle seat. I will take your recommendations about the slow footage of the food into consideration. And perhaps add some extra comments next time (although English is not my native language). Enjoy the Pacific Northwest (one of the world's most beautiful areas, when it's not raining).
just wanted to add this. Just came back from remarkable Holliday. Had a 2 longhauls. 1 was Air France At to St. Petersburg 2nd was KLM Oslo to At. Both 1 St or Business class. KLM beat Air France hands down in every department. From Cabin Crew to Food to Comfort. Bravo KLM Intl Business Class ****!
Tried Condor a few months back while traveling from Munich to Havana. The business class fare for a one way ticket was $950. My expectations were very low since it was that cheap for a 10 hour flight. It far exceeded my expectations.
Same here. I booked a one-way fare to the Seychelles for 950 euros. I did not expect a lot but was pleasantly surprised with the onboard product (especially the food).
Right, I'm 13 years old. I went on a plane from London Heathrow to Chicago O' Hare. My sister and dad were going with me. However we all had different seats and I really wanted to sit next to my sister. The lady sitting next to my sister had an isle seat and so did I. The lady was kind enough to swap seats with my and I thanked her a lot. What would you guys do? Great video by the way!
I would keep my seat. Nice looking trip.
its a pain in the neck when they always ask single travellers to change their seats. I experienced that several times before but refused most of the time. But once someone came up to me and asked which the flight attendent noticed and told that person to leave me alone. Loved it !
Spectactular last three minutes landing! waiting for your next posts about seychelles! Greetings!

Exactly!!!!
Can't believe you both landed within a few minutes of each other! Another nice video! Thank you 😊!
I couldn't believe that either :). Thank you for the compliment!
I always sit window also.....I never switch....always buckled in when in my seat and sleeping. Great video...thanks for posting.
one of the better food presentations by any airline I have seen . some of the food you have eaten on your first class flights looks a little rich for my pallet . enjoyed the flight .
Wow Condor has a pretty good service ! Im amazed ! I expected less
Ive flown on Condor Business several times. In my opinion its a really good product but compared to Emirates it‘s a better Premium Economy😂😉
Can not wait for more videos from the Seychelles!
Agreed that Condor Business Class is a "great surprise"! We traveled Frankfurt - Las Vegas in September, and - like yours - the dinner was amongst the best inflight dining experiences we've had. Keep up the great reviews!
Thank you!
Cool, with Condor and this plane, I flew this year also in the business class. Was nice, but the Seats are not 180 ;)
Hey! Hab gerade nicht mit euch gerechnet 😂
Zoals altijd leuk om naar te kijken. Bedankt.

Bedankt voor het compliment :)

That landing was magnificent. I should thank you for all of these videos - they're what inspired me to start doing them.
Thank you for you wonderful comment
Can't wait to see your reviews of the hotels in the Seychelles, especially North Island.
Thanks for the nice video!
Thanks for your beautiful video. It has a fantastic viwe
Love that Engine sound!
Hey "Lux" your footage at the landing over the water with the music, extremely well done!
Well thank you! I like epic, building music, and I felt it fit well with the landing sequence. I am a big fan of Hans Zimmer (although this is not his music)!
I Thought It Was Time(Inception) Hans Zimmer If Not What Was It Please ?
John Folland OK would never have known thanks!

Looks like a pretty good deal. Excellent lounge, nice seating for the plane ride. I might have to give them a try someday.
Nice video, great camera work of the landing coming into the Seychelles, look forward to seeing more

1. Babies are annoying creatures on planes
2. Free business class🎉
Dimitry m8 I think the business class part would of had me nodding my head before they even finished saying it.
Av Pro the funny part is that my dad actually told them that we would like to change seats if we could get business😂
D-ABUL is a version 3 of Condor B767. Only Version 3 has 6 rows of Business Class, while the other versions only have 3 rows.
I like how the flight attendant hid from you when you boarded the aircraft and did not want to be filmed. Looked like a good business class product, I mean we both know its business class from the 1990's, but i'm sure the fare was pretty good.

When I Travel The World OMG I SUBBED TO YOU!
"only cobtains the basics you would get in economy class". What airline gives economy amenity kits? I have never gotten one in economy from what I can remember
Some airlines, like Virgin Atlantic, still offer amenity kits to Economy Class passengers on longhaul flights
Waguar Many economy classes in long flights has amenity kits, including things like eye masks, toothbrushes, and earplugs.
TasteTheApple oh, ive flown plenty but never got them
Toomas Pasanen Then I suppose not so many airlines provide kits...
Waguar when you fly with Turkish Airlines you get an amenity kit
hy again an awesome vidéo. I wish one day visit Seychelles islands.
you make the best travel videos :) and that dessert looked so good
Thank you very much for your very nice commen! :-)
food in the lounge looks delicious!
Happy 50K Suscribers. You deserve it

very informative for the future traveler

Awesome video. Great video work. Very nice! Thank you!
You're welcome
I would give up the seat if I was being put in another window seat, otherwise I would not! Great video as always :-)
Conor Sullivan was going to say the same, everyone has chance to pee book, why didn't they?
Yeah me too.
a very good video, hope you had a pleasant holiday, ,

Stewie "Ma'am, ma'am, your poor planning does not constitute an emergency for me. You'll see him in Paris. Go sit down."
I like that, lol
wow!! Absolutely amazing! so detailed, great quality video!
Thank you!
I would give up the seat for another window seat or if there was a good compassionate case for doing so. I did once refuse in a case like yours and got really filthy looks from the couple. Wow! That's the first time I've ever seen that much food served. Was all that food inclusive or did you have to pay separately?

just left comment. should be AtL to St. Petersburg : Oslo to Atlanta. & **** for KLM
Thank you for the video. The lounge looks quite sterile though
Wenn wir jetzt mal den Champagner und die Schlafsitze weglassen, bekommt man den selben Service bei Emirates und Co. in der Economy Class.

traffictraffic I noticed it too! Small game of peek a boo eh ;)
I think she needs to act professional
I don't think she needs to be on camera if she doesn't want to. She's a flight attendant, not an actress, she's allowed not to want to be filmed.
Love the music
please try air india
Gameplayyt yes
Please don't mention it, I have traumas from that airline...
PLEASE make a video about Alitalia's business class!
Wow great food. Yeh I agree why should u give up your seat...

Great video by the way!
you should put mauritius also on your bucket list
