Crazy I’ve been hopping around the world for a long time and stayed in many places like the first one you showed, but i put a little elbow grease in and enjoyed the $50 a month rent

In Ja, they try it with the 'foreign price'. I just send a local to buy or rent for me. I'm not rich in the UK.
They will attempt to charge you foreinger prices but that's where negotiating comes in.

@@sadeimoresojourns far too much money. They just about tripled the price. My advice is to befriend a local man and get him to rent apartments for you. I’m half black half Egyptian, but speak fluent Arabic. I’ve literally been in markets where they charged a white man next to me 4x the price of the same meal I had in my hand.
Seen people from the US live in worse conditions than this sista!
Thanks for sharing but that's not the point. I'm not saying people don't live like this in the states. It's the fact that the first place was offered as a RENTAL as in it was presented to us in that condition. Unacceptable! To be frank, it was far worse than what I showed. I have seen tents that poor people live in look better than the mess he showed us.
Now if people are living like this in the states because of a natural disaster, someone being a hoarder or struggling with addiction that would make sense but to rent a place like this to live in just because.....umm NOPE.

I think the choice of furniture has alot to do with it!!! That huge dark wood clothes armoire just screams "castle from Beauty & the Beast!"🤣🤣🤣
