@@pythonx1358? Tourism is very important to Egypt. I live in South America myself. Here the authorities make rules, which they then follow up to be complied with. I think this also applies to Egypt. Now, imagine if you felt like your life was in danger (or threatened, varies) during social situations, or when you have work to do, etc. It's feeling like your life is jeopardized in normal, or slightly strange situations
So much for enjoying the majestic experience of visiting the awe and wonder of the great Pyramids. This is more like the hassle you get at a used car sales lot.

Listening to the camel scream in pain as he lied down was heartbreaking.. these animals are not meant to get on the knees multiple times a day. In the wild, they spend most of their time standing up. They only lower themselves maybe once a day to sleep.. this animal likely has severe arthritis in his knees from being forced on his knees dozens of times a day. @@evanwilson9906 That's a perpetuated myth, I see that you are quite illiterate when it comes to history so let me enlighten you on the facts. The idea that the pyramids were built on the back of slaves was from Herodotus, who visited Egypt in the mid-5th century BCE, more than 2000 years after the pyramids were built. As "the Father of History", many of his texts are presented at face value, especially to grade school students, and so the myth continues. So I insist that, the pyramids were not built by slave labour but rather it constructed by unskilled labourers with a smaller team of skilled overseers to guide them, quite similar to what we see in architectural plans today except slightly more archaic. Archaeology has shown that the workers were paid in beer and bread, as is attested to by wall inscriptions detailing rations, as well as burials for the workers with beer and bread for the afterlife. So good job for falling for a myth, next time educate yourself before making a harsh conclusion that the pyramid was entirely made by "oppressed" slaves.
Furthermore, the Great Pyramids, under the tenure of the reigning king Khufu, were built by a large team of workers from the farms on the Nile river who were left to work for the pharaoh when the river flooded the banks and destroyed the farms. The work, for sure, was arduous but the generous Khufu provided whole villages for workers to live in while they laboured on the Great Pyramid. On top of this, skilled workmen such as stonemasons and artisans were greatly rewarded with homes as well. There is evidence that injured workers were treated by medical professionals for sustained injuries. I would not go to say these were the musings and actions of a "callous slave owner" eh? I visited the pyramids back in 2004, and those scammers behaved like this even back then. Me and my friend took a camel ride with a guide, and during the ride our party was approached by some kind of uniformed officer, mounted on a camel himself, requesting that we paid an extra "fine" because it was after 4pm in the afternoon, and the area was supposed to be closing. Obviously, this officer had a deal with our guide. And even after the ride, our guide also asked us for an extra "tip", in addition to the price we had agreed on earlier. A taxi driver tried to re-negotiate our pre-agreed on price after we were already in the car and he was driving. When he stopped the taxi, we only paid him what we had agreed on, upon which he got really upset and tried to follow us on the street. Basically, this is what you must expect when in Egypt.

As u can tell from my profile pic Ive been to Egypt and watching this vid gave me the chills and horrible flashbacks of being chased every single day by every scammer in the country. Ive been to 80 countries including Cuba, India and all over Africa and have never experienced such aggressive salesmen ever as in this country. I even had a group of young men follow me up the river for 12 hours throwing their goods up on the boat trying to get me to toss my cash at them. There were many days I didnt even want to leave my hotel knowing what was waiting for me at the next stop. To me its called "penny smart and dollar dumb". Dont these scammers realize they are hurting tourism in their country by annoying the f*ck out of us each day which will hurt the prospect of me ever recommending anyone I know of ever traveling their....thus missing out on so many big tourist dollars. Oh and btw....the camel dude at the pyramids gave me a price for getting me up on the camel and wouldnt let me down until I gave him double that. The pyramids were made by slaves for the rich, what do you expect?

From an Egyptian you should not go save your money man go some were you haven't gone to in your country or go somewhere you can actually enjoy your vacation
i recommend you to go somewhere else
Came back last week from my egypt trip and this is unbelievable but a taxi driver who had my number (so he can pick me up later from a specific place) tried to find reasons why I should send him money. He sent me angry voice messages and was really rude. Why is such a behavior normalized, what went wrong wtf?
I was born in Egypt left in 2005, and never returned there. Not even if you pay me lol
@@NomNomNom1989 There is only few good people left in Egypt, and you will not see or meet them as a tourist, because they avoid traffic, and other Egyptians in general.. The Egyptian guys who works in tourism have this mindset ( tourists are idiots, and their women are hooos) I am not joking. I was in private high school in Egypt, and went to expensive private college there for only a year, and me, and my friends avoided the poor Egyptians, because they aren’t good poor people like other places in the world.

Those camels are literally crying when forced to the ground. They're knees are all fucked up, so sad.
Their knees look horrible, shouldn’t they have multiple camels for this that they rotate out so the others have a break? Or knee covers or something?
For real, they should just put some cloth over the knees at least. That looks painful af

Kind of the reason circus elephants occasionally went on rampages in circuses. The way they treated those, I'm surprised it was not a continuous occurrence.
