- The guys got to spend time with a production made Stormtrooper made for The Empire Strikes Back.
The armour forms went on to be used for the armour seen in Return of the Jedi. Here we see some of the details that separate the ESB/RotJ armour from the more familiar new hope armour. Along the way the a BBC documentary crew visit the Studio to see for themselves how Stormtroopers are made as the guys build and then donate a very special helmet to the V&A museum.
We've been working on this project since June 2019, and there is still more to come!

There is something about seeing a true brit, like the curator of the V&A, in a stormtrooper armour. It just feels right.
That's awesome. As an archivist and a Star Wars fan myself, it's thrilling to see Keith expressing why these pieces are so significant and worthy of preservation. You did great!

I've watched this video many many times now and I still find it as fresh in my mind as the first time. I get the indescribable tingling sensation from head to toe of pure adrenaline rush as this story unfolds before me.Not only am I there with you boys during the journey to The V&A museum, but hanging on every word from The Curator (I won't use his given name because I'm not worthy). When I first saw a real life storm trooper I was shocked and I was crying my eyes out.
Congratulations, you must be really proud of what you've achieved as RS.

It's amazing that the Stormtrooper character is as recognisable as Elvis Presley. If you ask most people they know who Elvis is and so the Stormtrooper is as well. Great to see!!👍👍😀😀

This is awesome guys. I love the V&A and used to pop in often when I was in London on work at the Natural History Museum across the road from it. Don't really get to the UK as often anymore, but next time I'm there I look forward to checking it out. Mostly it is just great to see these suits being unearthed and a chance to see the originals. Also great that you guys could be involved, great validation of the work you have done to make authentic replicas. Well done and looking forward to seeing more on it.

I literally just watched that documentary on BBC2. Outstanding work and truly amazing that one of your helmets will now be part of the V&A's permanent collection alongside such an important original suit.
I have the inverse dilema - a helmet, but no suit. My RS helmet is one of your superb limited edition khaki HDPE pieces that were made several years ago. I desperately want the suit for a full display and after seeing that documentary I really need to sort it out ASAP!

Storm trooper,s are very popular because when you watch it in dvd when it starts they start come blasting their way through the corridor and they are amazing storm trooper,s .on set.

I have one of the original helmets, it was moulded from the very first trooper mould, 😁

Interesting that another mark 2 TESB suit was available in 96. I saw the mark 2 that was sold Nov 2011 and that was very similar, no helmet, no hand guards and no holster/ stunt blaster. Nice to see another stunt blaster which should be the same as the 'pugman' you have. I had the feeling that some of the parts were original ANH and the others were new casts (the body seemed newer then the legs/arms to me). Do you think they they cast them all new at the time?
From the time we have spent with this suit, We believe it was all made at the same time. Work is still ongoing with the suit for the next few months, so we’ll share anything else we find.

That's not screen accurate - but the RS Propmasters most certainly is. The Master replica is a nice helmet for the price but is nothing like an original when put side by side. I know this as I own a Master replica helmet and THREE RS Propmasters helmets including a HDPE Sandtrooper Anthony Forrest Special Edition (Number 76)
