    This is a small in to our process and the final result.

    The fact that Anovos have the official Disney Star Wars license and not these guys is a crime against prop collectors. I have an RS helmet and I can truly say it is a work of art. I actually troop in mine with the 501st Legion and I get constant compliments about the quality from other troopers and the fans I get to meet.

      Anovos are recasting/scamming dickwads

      I totally agree with you, Anovos are overpriced, take absolutely years , and I mean years to get the goods to the customer even when we have paid thousands sometimes in advance. I don't rate their products in the same league as R S. My biggest mistake was I only found R S recently and wasted my cash on inferior items . Lesson learnt. It's R S every time now

    This to me was like watching Indiana Jones giving a lecture on one of his ancient relics from his many quests. Absolutely fantastic.

    Nice work. :-)
    Just FYI, evidence suggests that the ears were not painted with oxide red primer.
    The helmets were constructed minus the ears, primed oxide red, then primed white, ears added, then gloss white added. 👍🏻

    New subscriber. I saw this video on Facebook, and had no idea this channel existed. What was the original helmet made out of? ABS, or fiberglass? Astonishing work on that piece of history!

    • @RSPropMastersTV
      @RSPropMastersTV  5 лет назад

      The originals were pulled in HDPE, then painted. That’s why Simon’s is green as he took all the paint off before he knew it was an original.

    Is that a HK G-36 replica behind Simon hanging on the wall? Looks like the one i had back in my army days...

    Great work! Here are photos of this helmet and stop that ship at the Christie's auction before they were sold in 2005 - flic.kr/s/aHsjwNMGoR. You can see how bad the damage was on stop that ship to the helmet top. I could never get over how bad the the paint runs are on them!

    Great video and nice to handle and restore the original pieces.
    WADR, at the end of the video, the white and especially the grey on the ears don't match the colors on the rest of the helmet.
    I'm guessing they were supposed to match?

    I'm surprised how little sand weathering is on the helmet now. Do you think it was cleaned up after the Tunisia filming to use elsewhere?

    • @RSPropMastersTV
      @RSPropMastersTV  5 лет назад

      It’s likely they were all used multiple times for various shots.

      brow is completely different as well. Based on just a little crack next to the respirator, I'm not so sure this is the trooper he thinks it is

    Great video :D will we see the origin story of Simon’s helmet/suit ? How did he got it, how you reverse engineered it to make replicas out of it ? :)

      The Boushh is made by ‘cloth ears’. Go and check them out.

    Imagine we can make that helmet to become extremely tough like my motorcycle helmet that can survive many smash from hammer and still doesn't show even a slighest scar and crack

    Why haven't you guys said something to the Hasbro team about their black series stormtrooper helmet. Not the sandtrooper, the regular stormtrooper. Crap. Of all things.

  • @ryankeen3280

    Nice job. I wonder why the client didn’t get “original stormtrooper” to pull the parts from the original plugs they used in the movie. Nice restore though I look out for some new stuff.
