Hi Richie. I just recently picked up an ANH kit from RS Propmasters and working on the helmet right now. But just wanted to say I'm subbed and watching any and all guides and tuts. Long way to go. Trying to get down to the 170's again but recently jumped to 200. I am concerned on slimming back down and I've made the mistake before of putting together a costume for a way slim side that I haven't achieved yet. 'Kadaj' from FF Advent Children. I really, really do not want to be THAT guy that is a fat stormtrooper. My waist is 34 but above the naval 47. Ugh. Getting worried as I get closer to the armor trimming.
Also, the ESB with screws should be painted, reconditioned as you say as it was HDPE, I've yet to see a ANH abs other than hero. If you want a ABS empire lid, no screws in ears but only a few were made
Richie, I think I made a mistake buying the PVC Trooper kit. I can't source the material from any other company than RS whereas ABS is widely available here in the States. They'd mixed up my PVC trooper with ABS coverstrip material. This was back in October. It's January and I'm still waiting for it.. Contacted them multiple times. Have you come across any other companies that offer the same PVC color matched material?
Hey Ritchie, curious if you have blasters to go with the outfits and if the blaster actually fits in the ESB holster as the blaster "clip" sticks out to the left (meaning if it was holstered on the right it would be sticking into your hip)
You probably worked this out by now, but if anyone else is curious, the answer to this is obvious. The blaster fits the same way in the holster, regardless of whether it's worn on the right or left. Therefore if worn on the left hip, the pistol grip is facing to the rear and when worn on the right, the pistol grip will be facing to the front. Either way the magazine is facing outwards and not into the holster.
what about rouge 1 troops? theoritically they should be the same as ANH, right?
You'd think so wouldn't you!
I think about to buy the Sandtrooper or the ESB Trooper from this Company. Do you prefer ABS or PVC??
