    I recently placed an order for a set of assembled ESB TK armor, from Walt’s Trooper Factory. From my research, it is the most screen accurate TK armor at a reasonable price. Walt will also do a payment plan. His builders will be taking my personal measurements, and then send me pieces to test fit, while video chatting with me, and have me mark them for any fitment mods, before I send the pieces back. They are based in the USA, where I live. I should have my armor in the next couple of months, or so.

    I have an ANOVOS kit, and I knew it was going to be on this list. I'm not upset at the mild inaccuracies. People recommend against ANOVOS because of their shit customer service, their outrageous wait times and unacceptable business practices.

      I'm glad I got Anovos, it was fun to build and a reasonably good quality but holy shit I ordered it in November and got it in August of next year. Hard to recommend Anovos to anyone, but I at least don't regret mine.

    Very good video. I bought the Armor FX kit sometime around 2001, whilst I was satisfied with the suit the helmet was way too big and looked so wrong. I ended up using the Classic Action made helmet instead.

    OK, this is going to be useful since I'm not 100% convinced the RS kit will fit me (something about being a little bit short for a Stormtrooper) and have been trying to shop around a bit.

      I am 5'4" and 130 pounds. I got mine as you see in my picture from RS Propmasters. They worked with me when I emailed them and they emailed me back. Asked for certain measurements and all. I have no issues with mine at all. Fits well and some wiggle room as well. So they should be able to work with you as well. Great customer service. Mine was approved when I joined 501st. They can make it to your measurements no matter height they said to me.

    As I said to another commenter, I'm glad I got Anovos, some of the inaccuracies are fixed by just assembling it properly which it appears the website did not. It was fun to build and reasonably easy considering the helmet comes fully assembled and painted and a good quality all around but holy shit I ordered it in November and got it in August of next year. Hard to recommend Anovos to anyone, especially since I despise the fact that Disney is only allowing one company to make accurate Star Wars costumes but I at least don't regret mine.

  • @JPskits
    @JPskits 3 года назад +2

    Although the OriginalStormtrooper outfits have the small differences like the chestpiece, belt, and calf area, I actually prefer the look. It looks like a sleeker, more modernized ANH suit. Not completely accurate though, so I can understand from a collector's standpoint, why they might go elsewhere. I don't have one yet, but I think I might go with the OriginalStormtrooper.

    • @cableguydan
      @cableguydan 3 года назад +1

      Each to their own, however, you would pay through the roof prices for orignalstormtrooper for a really innaccurate product. I’m not quite sure why you’d want to do that? Unless I’m missing something.

      I had a friend who does 501 and he setteled on oringal stormtrooper because the minor small detail that are "inacerate" don't bother him or me much (suit fits him better im too short to be one lol)

    • @cableguydan
      @cableguydan 3 года назад

      @@awesomeninja9178 interesting choice. Although, once you look into it, the OriginalStormtrooper products are far from “a little innacurate”. They are also vastly overpriced. So, you pay more for something that is further away from the original suits.
      Doesn’t make any sense to me, but, as above, each to their own.
      If I wanted a Ferrari, I wouldn’t accept paying MORE for a lower specification Fiat. ;-)

      @@awesomeninja9178 I hate to say it but, that sounds very unlikely. As a member myself, I’d say 9 out of 10 people (or more) stay well away from OriginalStormtrooper (or SDS as it used to be known). Only the Spanish garrison seems to be keen on SDS.

      I agree that most people won't know the difference. That said, there are other options which cost less and are not sold at inflated prices based on a lie. SDS make very bold claims and charge high prices. What you get is a recast of other people's work with some inaccurate assembly techniques and pointless modifications.
