@bobandbrad any chance you could do a video to help with athletic pubalgia or rectus abdominus pain? you guys are great. would love your advice. i’m suffering with this issue.
Oh My GOSH!!! I have had bad pain and trouble standing/walking for several years, but 3 days in with these stretches and I am infinitely better. I am so happy I found you! I miss Bob...
Thank you for this video. All your videos are great. Praying 🙏 hard for Bob to have daily peace and happy spirit. I appreciate when he can come on camera. He just has to know so many people out there love him. We don’t know why some things happen to others or oneself, however it’s wonderful to have many who are with us and encouraging us. ❤🙏🙏✝️
This is an amazingly helpful video...working from home, seated at my PC has taken a toll on my back and hips. a few minutes of following the video has lessened my hip tightness and pain. Thanks Bob and Mike!! and miss you, Bob!
No wonder my hips are still tight. I might not have been stretching 21 of them muscles. Thanks for the seated variations. Got to remember to do them at the office. Greetings to Bob. 😊
I will do these exercises since I have had bad hips all my adult life. Another thing I found was when you're standing, to pull in your lower abdomen and it will align your hips correctly while you are standing. I've been doing that and it really helps.
I have all kinds of hip pain and this video came in handy! The exercise where you cross you leg over the other, I've had a right full knee replacement and have a hard time bending the knee over the other leg. Any suggestions on a work-around to still get the stretch in the muscles? Thank you in advance for your help! ❤
Love your videos. Can you please do a video including stretched for senior Pickleballers? I suspect rotator cuff, hips, knees, and ankles are target points. Thanks.
Figure4 and inverted clamshells hit many muscles and nerves for me. The clamshells hit all the way up the glutes, wow! Been doing figure 4's, excited to include the inverted clamshells now. Thank you.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! What a difference a stretch made. I was struggling to take just a few steps because of my hip pain . And after the stretches I'm walking without a limp at all! Again thank you so so much
Thanks guys i love that you show all the streches together at the middle of the video i think you should do that on every video a lot more easy to do with you.
This takes my morning stretches to a new level. I wake up with screaming muscles in the hip area and have been spending about 20 minutes stretching them.
Best of luck on your recovery! Here is a link to our hip replacement program that might be of use to you: www.bobandbrad.com/health-programs/total-hip-replacement-fitness-program
hey Guys, i just began adding a serious weighted squats regiment to my workout. these stretches felt awesome and definitely helped out post squats. thanks so much!
My favorite Physical Therapist on RUclips! Hi Mike and Brad! Thanks for sharing! I'll attempt to do these and share the video along too!! Enjoy your day!! Toodles!!
2024 - I had a hip replacement in 2017. Got my life back...BUT...I miss being able to sit cross-legged; also miss a good stretch to my lower back. Could you please post some "safe" stretches for those of us who have tightness from hip replacements? Thank you!
Great video, B&B team! I've been fighting tight hips and sciatic issues for a while. I do a few of the stretches already, but progress is so slow. I've got hope this routing will help loosen things up better!
Hi B&B, Been watching your videos for a few years. This is a timely video for me! I noticed some pain stand and putting on a shoe on my right side in the hip. With your stretch #3 cross legged and pressing down for the piraformis, if I resist this or even just press my knee up, there is some mild pain on the posterior of the greater trochanter attachments? Is this indicative of possibly a strain or something in the joint itself? I’ve worked out tender spots around the hip and it has improved the last two weeks some. Hip gets cranky sleeping on either side after awhile? Any thoughts? Thanks guys! 🙏
I'm going to try these out as I'm having outside the hip pain, like where a western cowboy would have his guns. I go back and forth on if it is pain radiating from back issues or just weak hip muscles or tight hip muscles. Hopefully I can come back and update this with some great news.
Ok wow, I needed that. I feel like some muscles haven‘t been stretched for years 😂 Little tip if you‘re oberweight, you xan use something like a scarf or rolled up towel to grab your knees etc.
FYI I had a total right hip 2019 and immediately started a walking program. Now I've been doing Jiu-Jitsu for a year. I'm 72. Surgeons did a fantastic job.
Ty Bob and brad! Just. What I needed for the hips, yay! Also the massage gun, is there a long handle so ppl can do their back? I certainly would love to do my whole back with a great massage:)
After the 90 second stretch do them again, but this time use your arms to push against your leg. This provides an isometric strengthening component and also helps the stretch. It wouldn't work on the last exercise so you'd have to push against a wall.
Some great exercises. I have a labium teat of my right hip along with back pain. Will these still help or should I not do these because of my tear. I am 64, so far doctors do not want to do surgery or hip replacement. I also have back pain with a T12 compression fracture which I have had since 2003. Several doctors this might now be causing radiating nerve pain down my right side??
Can you comment on the correct positioning when one leg crosses over the other (a ‘four’ position) - is it ankle resting on thigh or above ankle, lower leg bone, resting on thigh?

Very timely ❤. I’ve had a painful hip for a month.

That third exercise made me scream in pain. I injured my right hip twice this year. Ill be repeating this tomorrow.
Thanks!
Thank you!!!

ALSO, squeezing the butt cheeks while standing AND walking!

I imagine this stretching effort will allow you to cut your toenails with less effort. Do these especially before cutting your toenails!
Love your videos. Can you please do a video including stretched for senior Pickleballers? I suspect rotator cuff, hips, knees, and ankles are target points. Thanks.
You guys keep delivering such amazing advice and techniques. Thank you!

Ain't that the truth.

These stretches are the best! Thank you so much 🙂
That was awesome! Been sitting and did these on the couch. Two year old hip and the crossover to stretch the IT band was a hit 🙌🏾

Can't do this now. I will try in the warm pool at the YMCA which water aerobics are done. Thanks!
Holy moly guys that really works. Thanx!
Does this affect sciatica, and shouldn’t you warm up the joints and muscles before stretching (vs. cold)?
Post hip replacement, I stretch my IT band standing up and use my foam roller
Thank you. I should be able to do all except for my left leg, I can’t get that up to my right knee. Hip arthritis.
Thanks guys. I didn't realize I needed this until I tried it.
Much appreciated! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this stretch!
Great video. I miss Bob!! ♥️🙌🏻♥️🙌🏻

I do like the case on mine & it’s the best massage gun I’ve used😊
Is roller skating a good exercise? 58 with ultra tight hips and IT bands.

Thanks you two❤
