Nice vid. My wet dry vac motor is straining and some smoke is emitted. I presume it needs a cleaning, perhaps an impeller cleaning and lube as well. What's the process to clean the motor and impeller. Thanks.
I have a Wet/Dry Vac - 2.5HP Craftsman and I can't get the impeller off of the motor, is it safe to cram a screwdriver against the motor commutator to jam it so I can remove the nut holding the impeller on?
I was using mine without any filter and guess It sucked up some rocks or something. Anyways I was cleaning my vehicle then it made kind of a pop sound then a really loud noise, and lost all suction + The motor (head , top whatever you call it) Piece just shoots out dirt/dust. . So when you turn it on now its just a rteally loud noise it make and a bunch of dust shoots out of it and no suction. Any way to fix this without buying a new vacuum ? Thanks.
A little late, but simply 'Take it aaappparrttttt!' Take pics as you go, just in case, and give it a good cleaning out, and see if you can spot any possible problems. Hey, its already fucked, you can't fuck it up any more :)
