PLEASE READ BEFORE COMMENTING! I made a mistake; a later update means you no longer have to be married to have a baby! There are many things I didn't mention--I'd love to take an even deeper dive after seeing these trailers. In Freeplay you can also get dragons and fairies as well as pigs under the 'pets' category for instance. Very interesting. Let me know if you want more or even looking at sims mobile, etc. This took me a long while actually but I enjoyed it
I've been playing freeplay since its inception & I prefer the sims 4, I have spent way more money on freeplay than all the sims 4 expansion packs combined. Obviously that's a personal choice driven by the fact that I didn't have a computer to play the actual sims on. While it does have some features that would be amazing if applied to the sims 4, you're restricted much more, especially in build mode & character mode. There is only one body type & fewer skin colors. most items can't overlap in build mode. Oh another annoying thing, all the money you have is used for all households not just one. sorry abt the rant, but in my personal opinion, sims 4 is much more desirable.
When I was younger and didn’t have a computer, I played sims freeplay. I hated having to wait for actions to get done, and I didn’t like the quest system. I was soooo happy when I got Sims 4.
Oh my god same. It was so annoying, waiting a literal day for them to finish shouting on a cardboard box in the park for one quest, then around twelve hours for the next thing. Like you really don't know who your audience is, do you? Small kids don't want to wait that long for something in a game. That app was reeeally bad.
@Dosoaoao Oaowkwjw As a builder in the game,I really agree that the game is very fun if we were rich until those millions of simoleons ran out in a week or two...😅
Finally someone brings up the fact that is no kids they just replaced name with pre teen it isn't actually a new life stage you don't know how many times I have commented this.
Honestly even though it isn’t completely flushed out - it is pretty annoying that this free mobile game has features that us players that pay for the game have been begging for.
I get that. I will say, it's just so very different . I thinkt it;s much easier to program and takes less budget so that is important to take into consideration. However, many of these features should nonetheless be in 4
I didn’t know Sims freeplay had so many features lol. It was a blast before I bought the sims 4. Going back I was shocked remembering I had to wait 10 minutes to bake a cake.
I’ve played the sims freeplay. I remember in the beginning we weren’t able to do much with the babies until they gave an update to them. I love the sims 4 and really hope they do a baby overhaul as well.
@@SimmerErin I still don't get how 2-3 gets a car but it gets removed in 4 and 4 is suppose to be the superior version but yeah I don't get how sims 4 became a downgrade in terms of features in the game
It’s very grindy, it’s like a remastered version of the sims social, You get one world and you have to pay if you want to progress quickly, it takes so long to complete a quest or anything, you can’t stack interactions, no money cheats, No open world (Same in sims 4), No community lot type, you have to unlock that Has so many features or sims 3 however, bunk beds, horses and other small pets, Hundreds of micro transactions, Stag dos and Hen dos stuff like that It feels as if the sims social and the sims 3 make a mobile game.
there are no money cheats per say but i’ve been playing the hacked version (download the hacked infinite money version, save it on my fb acc, delete the hacked version and download the normal one then enter my fb acc there and boom so much money), u do have to redo it every couple of months or year (in my case bc i build a lot so i spend a lot of money, if u don’t then it’s not frequent at all), so it still an option! obviously tho not nearly as good as ts4 but that shouldn’t even be a question
Freeplay takes so long to do simple things. Some actions takes days. And the money your sims collect are not per household. The money one person has, every other sim has too.
@@SimmerErinI bear patience for Sims Freeplay just because I want to be able to see my Sims got pregnant and have a baby of their own, instead of basically having express Adopted baby
For me..sims freeplay was the very first sims game I played back when I was about 7 or 8 (am 15 now btw) at first I do admit it was a struggle to get the quests done and especially getting it done within the time limit to get the special prizes. Along the years I found the hacked version that gives you unlimited simoleons, sp and lp. And I was able to play out the game till the last quest. Some years past and the game had multiple things to add...police stations new side quests, pregnancies(my mom would have flipped if that was in the game long ago)and many other stuff like events and stuff. Yes I understand the graphics are a bit wonky and I do admit one thing that upset me was u can only have one skill at a time.. but later..I really liked the way the game was for mobile. Personally for me if u do have the hacked version (yes....on the internet) I feel like you can enjoy the game in its full glory. I only stopped playing because if it crashed I would lose all my progress because I didn't back it up to the cloud...other than that I think it was amazing through its years and I am aware they have got more things now...so I would reccomend this over sims 4 for _new_ players..(jus my opinion)
Yes it sounds like it's had some very substantial updates over the years. I think it just depends on what you are looking for as it;s a very different game model.
I would say that freeplay has a majority of the content that the sims 4 lacks, minus the graphics and operating on real-time. I really loved freeplay once it dropped and still play it to this day occasionally, but for heaven sake do I despise the waiting times. Great video Erin!
for sims freeplay, the one thing that aggravates me is how long the quests can take. like reading a specific book can take a whole day. i love the interactions, hobbies, and other things. babies actually aren’t just objects and are pretty fun. it’s a pretty fun game besides the long quests!
This video brought back so many memories, I remember getting so angry every time the quest was 24 hours or more. I was so proud of myself when I was younger for finishing every main quest on the proper app. I also downloaded a second version afterwards, which was like a dodgy one so I’d have unlimited stuff. I had wanted the sims 4 so badly: and not having to worry about the time was close enough. About a year later I downloaded the same dodgy app onto my Dads old phone and broke it hahaha. That game has a special place in my heart.
Omg sims free play was my life as a 9 year old. It takes 24 hours to make a cake. I don’t know if this has changed, but your sims made more money from going to school than being a teacher. It was ridiculous
Seeing the sims freeplay after only playing it back in 2011-2013 is like a fever dream. Freeplay had basically none of the features you mentioned until later on. they did add babies and pets at some point when i played but it was definitely near the end of me playing. I only had one family have a baby because at that time im fairly certain they were very expensive to get. Btw the whole wedding feature must have came after babies because i have no memory of having a wedding like in those clips shown. I know you could propose but i think weddings were just an interaction not an event. but i was young then so my memory could be deceiving me
I’ve been playing Sims FreePlay for at least 5-6 years, and have had to restart it 3 times on different devices. It’s incredibly frustrating to play unless you have a lot of money and/or are at a high level. I got Sims 4 about a year ago and love the fact that my sims don’t look like literal potatoes anymore :) Great video by the way!
It's not "better" I have to admit when magic wasn't in the sims 4 I sometimes played with freeplay!! But the problem is the length:some actions take days to finish so it is impossible to finish the quests! But I recognize that sils freeplay has a lot of things but that's because the game is out since 2011 so like 3 years before the sims 4 and also a mobile game is easier to update and programm/code than PC games! The sims freeplay needs too much patience (I was really advanced in the game when I decided to stop it)
Yeah I seriously would not love the time, and you'd have to have tons of patience. I think that's part of it, and also it's far less advanced and much easier to program too
@@humanbeing3946 I can be very patienr with mobile games but no not the one that where I have to be waiting there and if I miss some momentum I kinda loose what I was playing for
Oh yes I would spend hoursss playing freeplay, I honestly enjoy it more than the Sims 4. I found a cheat that actually worked and gave me millions of everything so that definitely helped. (oopsies)
i have both sims freeplay & sims 4 . i feel both have pros & cons and hopefully in the feature they can combine some features together in whole glorious game
There's definitely trade-offs happening here. While you do get a lot of great features with Freeplay, you don't get a lot of the things the Sims 4 excels at: Build/Buy, better graphics, in-depth CAS, better worlds. There's a lot that Sims 4 can improve upon. But the issue is time and money; how much time are devs given to make the game/features and how much is the budget. I mention this because I know that a lot of people are wondering why Freeplay has features that we've been wanting for a while in the Sims 4. The biggest improvement that can be made in future Sims games is EA just giving the development/testing process more time.
Yes exactly. It's about what you want in a game; for me mobile never appeals. I think the issue here is while there are great items freeplay doesn't offer what people complain about most for sims 4, which is normally depth and personality
I love playing FreePlay personally but I don’t like that my sims don’t have Personalities. Also I don’t like that my houses when I build have don’t have different shaped rooms
I mean my biggest downside to sims free play is that I have to pay for things and it take too long to play. I think that the sims 4 could use some improved babies and pre teens.
Yeah I wouldn't like that. I think 4 could use improved babies. At this point im not for preteens because teens and kids themselves seem underdevloped but I know preteens are a popular request
Simmer Erin I get what you mean about pre-teens. They are really not that essential unless the sims 4 suddenly beside to improve story progression. Because let’s face it story progression in the sims totally sucks. I mean even the family tree doesn’t make much sense, family members are poorly traceable. And don’t even get me started on those babies.
I remember playing sims freeplay when i was in highschool and its really fun. I agree that the wait time is a hassel but the thing about that annoyed me the most is the absurd prices. Its hard to do anything new when building a house or new locations would cost me like 4 million and that value increases with each building. Its fun but at a certain point I think you would get stuck unless you grind for money.
@@SimmerErinit is. I started playing Freeplay and the price of empty lot was only 4,500 simoleans dollar. Then after a week, the price increased to 24,500. Is that a threefold or 4 folds price hike?
Once I was playing the sims free play and I was waiting for my sim to plant some seeds and I mentioned and my aunt was like you like sims? And low and behold april 2015 I receive the sims 4 for my birthday
Don’t forget that every time you buy a lot or workplace or store it doubles the amount of simoleons you have to pay for it. It’s doable in the beginning but at some point you end up having to pay like 1,5 mil to build a new lot
as a college student sfp is so nice because I send my sims to work during the day and am not tempted to check the game during class lol. But some of the quests like live events and simchase are too time consuming.
Ok I could see that. I think it isn't the game for me, but I understand that working lol. As a part time professor I will say good for you; ha I know how many students tend to try to game anyway!
@@JulesSpark theres a mod thats completely free and safe that gives you unlimited money on sims freeplay, reply if you want it and tell me if you have an android or iphone
@@kermitishot6061 ok well these developers have spent millions of dollars on this mobile game for ungrateful players like you to criticize them like this. If there isn’t enough faces GET OFF THE FREAKING APP AND DOWNLOAD SIMS MOBILE. STOP SITTING HERE COMPLAINING.
You know, it costs 2,500 Simoleans money to buy a baby's decorations (toy) the one that is hang on ceiling above baby's crib. 2,500 dollars just for a simple baby's toy!! Crazy
They're getting better but here's some of the things that players like me aren't satisfied about : SimChase & live events SimChase are time consuming & it's very hard to play unless you set an alarm for each tasks & you're really rich that you've can skip an episode for that day. Live events are quite frustrating to me. They're too much items for us to collect if we want to purchase a pack. The spin is the worst! You can expect that you'll get only a constructor coin for 450 candles... I still play the game though
10:42 That's just for the quests. You have to complete your active quest to move on to the next, and the marriage quest is right before the baby quest. However, after you complete both quests, your unmarried sims can have babies. Three of my unmarried couples were able to have kids.
Sims Freeplay now has L shaped rooms (must complete event) The thing we need are muscularity, weight and community created items that can be bought on specials (buy it with social points).
If The Sims Freeplay’s task didn’t take an entire DAY to complete.. boy oh boy this game will be light years ahead of The Sims 4!! This was the first ever Sims game I’ve played for several years as a child and while I definitely had a blast with it, I think the quests/objectives in this game have gone way beyond insane. You used to have more freedom with what you can do in the game back in its early days.. wanna build a swimming centre? Sure! Now? Oh you need to complete this quest first! Everything is locked behind quests that take way too long to complete, it’s just one of EA’s cash grabby tactics of making you buy LifeStyle points to speed things up, THEY KNOW WE HATE WAITING. Now that I’ve started playing The Sims 4 and The Sims 3 as I got my own money, there is NO way I’m looking back to that game! When I first found out that could SPEED UP time in a Sims game, I ALMOST CRIED 😭 PS. I miss Sunset Mall in The Sims FreePlay. That’s literally the only Sims game with a MALL you could explore in! Why can’t we have that in The Sims 4 😭
this video was SO nice and necessary! thank you! id love to see you make another one about the other mobile game they have and the comparisons between them 3... also a video about project castway, that a brazilian is developing. i can help you with the translation, if you want me to
Thanks! Oh I think that could be really interesting for sure. As far as the castaway project, I honestly don't understand. Is it going to be a real game
Omgggg I loved the sims free play! One of my favourite features was boat homes and I loved doing quests to unlock cool things like the magic Tower and unlocking different islands
I personally really like doing quests in Sims Freeplay. I think it would be great if I could have quests on Sims 4 too. However I hate the excessive waiting times
I Hate that I had to wait for so long to complete a quest, for example Love & Treasure Discovery Quest. I had bear patience over and over again for a week for individual tasks in that quest to finish. Can't afford to spend the hard earned Lifestyle Points to speed things up. 1 LP for 1 hour 🤨 and I don't want to spend my real money to buy LP (Lifestyle Points) Crazy how many hours of real time it takes just to fulfill one task in the quest. Example: 9 hours to complete "Listen to LJ's Announcement" task, "8 hours to "Give Rose Cupcake to Bryan" task, then another close to 10 hours of "Take A Hard Look in the Mirror" task. Who looks their face in the mirror for 10 hours, for God's sake??!
this vid just brought me back like 7 years. i played this when we got our first family ipad n i remember being so mad when they patched the time thing bc id change my ipad time to speed stuff up lmao
I used to play sims free play A LOT before I had the money to get sims 4 and there were definitely things that I don’t like looking back after having played sims 4. I now really don’t have the time for “real time” interactions and progression in that game (for example sleeping takes hours in real time and you can’t speed up the game) you kind of have to be addicted to it and play it all the time to get progression. And if you leave your game for a few days then all your sims needs will be in the red (again, real time) and then you have to spend time getting it all back to normal. But if you wait a few weeks before coming back to your game you get rewarded with simoleons and all your sims needs are full. Another thing is that a lot of the quests are time sensitive and you have something like a week before time runs out, or if it is an important quest to get something like a life stage, you lose the bonus prize but can finish the quest. Going back to that game made me appreciate sims 4 funnily enough! Sure there are things I miss like having babies be able to travel to different lots but the freedom of the other sims games and the ability to not have to go on quests to unlock basic things are really what is super important to me as a player. Also I think each sim could only have one hobby at a time and you would lose all your progress if you switched to another one. Also the lack of sim customization is another huge thing that turns me off to that game now. TLDR, sims free play is not as great as people hype it up to be, and the other sims games are so much better.
The Sims Freeplay was one of my favorite games of all time. Minus how expensive it is to literally play the game with the quests, it’s impossible to get through it if you’re a busier person. But if modded (with a lot of money) it becomes pretty fun.
@@SimmerErin The game in itself cannot be externally modded but in android “modded” or “unlocked” apk versions are available on google. You do have to uninstall the game (and download it again) in order to get them and not all of them are exactly safe (but the most popular ones especially the an1 one is completely safe, the ones that include human verification might not be)
as someone who went from playing the sims freeplay, to the sims mobile, to the sims 4, and back to the sims freeplay, i think it's much more tolerable as i've gotten older? when i used to play it in 5th grade, i was too impatient for everything. but now that i have online school, and actual things i need to get done - i find that i can just send a sim to work while i'm at school. or just have them do something while i'm doing something else. i do really miss the autonomy, cas, and cheats (oops) from the sims four. honestly, playing the sims freeplay just makes me wish my computer wasn't broken so i could play the sims 4 ahaha
@@SimmerErin i'm still really impatient lol. but i have like 2 of my 9 sims who don't have jobs? so i can have them do quests or more short-term things, while everyone else is earning me some good 'ol moolah. that usually helps with my impatience? and like some of the job branches you can go to work with them, and do tasks.
p.s. i know cheating sucks, but i use it in sims freeplay. i take the japanese retreat with no sims or houses in my save, then i sell it all. you’ll make 50’000 back. just continue and you’ll get millions in a 1 or so :)
okay if you just get the cheats for freeplay its just amazing , the babies, dogs, seasons , cars, real babies (not objects) toddlers EVERYTHING FOR FREE AND in the sims 4 you have to buy these which can cost a lot and also job i know a lot of people don’t like the speed time but its actually worth it rather then 40$ and if you have cheats you are sorted
@@SimmerErin yes even i own the sims 4 play it more often then the simsfreeplay but just saying for people who can’t afford a computer or 100 different packs
I think with the lifestages it’s fine because the babies are sort of like toddlers because they can do a lot of things and learn how to walk and stuff and then the toddlers are like young children (preschool/kindergarten) so then the preteens are like older kids. I dunno it’s not perfect.
It's not perfect, but I too don't see a huge problem. I think my biggest issue isn't the life stages themselves, but that I'd love to see more distinction and unique gameplay for each life stage
Honestly you can’t compare the sims 4 to the sims free play, because sims 4 is wayy better in everything you can make better looking sims and do a lot of stuff while on sims free play you look bad
the real-time feature is my only problem. years ago, there used to be a cheat method wherein you can adjust the time to finish the tasks, but i think EA knew about it and fixed it. now, i dont have enough time to play this, but it feels nostalgic to me seeing this vid.
Martin Loston Oh ok, I never knew there was a version like that. I asked because if you have the normal mode the game sucks, but with that hack, woah this game would be so epic
In my own experience, Sims4 is much better than Freeplay because in Sims4 I can build and create more sims and houses whatever I want while in Freeplay, everything is waiting and limited.
they are very different games, and imo for different audiences and purposes. I personally dislike fully free to play games and find them mostly more shallow and lacking
I've been playing freeplay since it started 😁😁 I only ever stopped because I kept running out of space on my phone and I'm really impatient so waiting real time hours isn't the best option for me 🤣
In terms of babies in the Sims FreePlay, you don't actually have to be married to have them. You do however have to reach the "partner" relationship status. Just thought I'd clarify that. :)
I have played sims FreePlay it’s quit decent but the characters faces tho… and their body type I know the creators probably quite working on sims FreePlay but if a developer is seeing this which I doubt it but please PLEASE IM BEGGING FIX THOESE DEMON FACES HOW WILL LITTLE KIDS SLEEP AFTER SEEING THAT MATE 💀😭-
In the sims freeplay you have to do a quest that took me 3 months to finish in order for your baby to crawl around. You have to finish the Nanny Knows Best quest to have more options with the baby. The 4 original options without the quest is to feed the baby, Change the baby's diaper, entertain the baby, and to cuddle the baby. Edit: more facts in the replies section
It's been a year since I last commented, but I think one of the reasons why The Sims Freeplay has more than The Sims 4 might be because The Sims Freeplay was made after The Sims 3 and I guess they wanted it to be like a watered-down mobile version of TS3? It's pretty much the same with The Sims Mobile. TSM was made sometime after TS4 and it lacks a lot of things just like TS4, which doesn't surprise me. Even with every single Expansion Pack, Game Pack, Stuff Pack and Kit, TS4 still feels pretty empty. Anyway, to whoever is reading this, I hope and pray that you, your family and friends are all happy, healthy, safe and warm with a roof over y'all's heads and I pray it continues to stay that way. I hope y'all are having a wonderful day/night, too! 💗💞🙏🥰
Yeah, it's a very lackluster model imo, but of course, mobile games are always going to be fairly limited i comparison I think 4 is improving and I like some of the recent updates, but it certainly started with shaky foundation. And good to have you back!
The sims free play got me into the sims. Me being intersex i wanted an escape from life when i was younger and sims has helped me cope with life back then.
Tbh u dont really need to have to get married to have a baby. You need to finish the "Love is in the air quest" first tho, once u finish it u can get the "Two and a half sims" quest and when your done u can just click on the crib and get a baby. I just wanted to point that out, I also love your videos!! 💕💖💖
I played Sims freeplay for between 2 and 3 years. I absolutely loved playing Sims freeplay, but EA ruined the game for me by adding video advertising to the game. I kept playing for a couple months after they added the adds, but finally quit maybe a year or more ago. I find the Sims 4 of very easy game to play and very fun. The Sims freeplay on the other hand can be a very difficult game to accomplish goals in. For example I never did get the volcano to erupt and I still had plenty of goals to complete when I quit. I'm not saying this as a complaint, but to just show how the two games are different.
the sims freeplay is actually amazing though. i’v played it my whole life (over 10 years) and i’v never gotten board of it. it has 99.9 percent actually free gameplay like the name suggests and even another version of the spa day pack which is my favorite pack in the sims 4, but with even more fetures. i know the waiting times are long but it’s honestly okay and really fun if you play it daily and get used to the waiting times. i love the story centered gameplay and honesty this game is a classic. yes, even though it only had 2 worlds, yes, even though we had limited hairstyles, yes, even though it has levels, even though it had quests, yes, even though the graphics are different to the sims 4, it’s just one of those games that desrves a medal for bieng a certified hood classic like the sims 1,2, or 3
I actually never play my SIMS 4 anymore. I got a cheat to unlock all the things, so now that I don't have wait times, it's so much fun. I like that it's more task based where you are meeting goals.
A TON of the hobbies are hobbies I’ve never heard of, and almost every hobby comes when you build a certain building in the town which each building costs a ton of simoleons. Pets in FREEplay cost a ton- as you see a rabbit will cost 20 lp and both LP and SP are extremely difficult to get - you don’t simply earn it, you essentially get lucky randomly with LP or occasionally completing a social task (going into another sim town, aka a Facebook friend who has Freeplay) and doing the task in their town can get you SP every once in a while. Preteens are not able to complete almost every task and are rarely included in quests- they are practically useless unless a random task requires a preteen. For personalities, I’m not sure where that comes from because they don’t have any- they’re all the exact same and also every sim looks like they’re drunk. A lot of the animations I’ve seen in this video are types of animations they show in ads, especially the ones at the store earlier on in the video, which aren’t actually what it looks like. I don’t know much about the store it features because I am trying to complete the quest for it right now (which is time limited and extremely difficult to attain), but most buildings you build the sims can’t go in. We have a grocery store and a fire station and some other places but they’re just there as buildings on a map that you might get about S50 every 24 hours or some random amount. Building houses and things are very difficult and can be expensive. In sims 4 I believe you can rotate around to look at it from different positions but in sims Freeplay you can rotate or anything and can only see from above. When bullring a house, you get a grid and everything because a very dark gray or black, so if it’s nighttime in real life, it will be far to dark to design anything in the game. In sims 4 there are so many more clutter and decorative items, you can design rooms and houses differently instead of just having to do squares and rectangles for every room, you can have a diagonal or different shapes of rooms. You can also customize things in sims 4 I think but in Freeplay nothing is customizable except for the cribs, which I didn’t even know about. Some quests are extremely difficult and take a lot of you time so you miss out on a lot when things are time sensitive. There’s something called simchase where you try to beat a computer every day and accomplish a ton of tasks, and sometimes the tasks can add up to 20+ hours and you end up spending a ton of simoleons or social points (SP) which are very hard to get. Simchase lasts a week and I did it for 5 days and my SP went from 60 to 8 because certain tasks in this challenge costs either S100,000 simoleons or 10, 15, sometimes even 20+ SP to complete. It is a free game and that’s why so many play it, but honestly it feels like to a lot of people who play freeplay a lot that EA is just kinda forgetting about it and not listening to people trying to speak up about it :/
Thanks for sharing further details! Yes in all Sims games and games in general there is a degree of that advertising vs reality. I do think alas that free games so to speak use this as their model where things seem free but most gameplay is really under a paywall. Ultimately it's a matter of what you prefer this or a more dlc based system. I certainly prefer dlc because it also feels more transparent
Okay so, it has some if its features cause when they release the sims 3 mobile it was just like tsf=the sims freeplay. It has like it's open world, music when you fo to cas they removed some of it, the world music like chasing the stars from sims 3 and others, if you look in can see that it has the sims 3 shirt in there, they was toddlers, preteens, and adults sounds similar to the kids, toddlers, and adults/teens
Since the sims 3 (mobile version) turned into sims freeplay in 2011 it had the same logo and in those times it had the simular music to the the sims 3 but they update it
Oh btw I was only 2 when ts3 came out lol so I never played it I watch other people play it and I listen to the music and pay alot of attention to the game play.
Pre-teens in the sims 4 would absolutely be the most horrible idea EA can add. Because one thing about mobile: You can't simply mod the APK. On the sims 4 however, they have built in mods, and if you ever played the sims 4, you'd know there are absolutely horrible mods in the game. Including full fledge sex mods, which i regret finding. But, those mods mean they can cause more damage. If they added pre-teens, then you know what would happen. Also, the sims freeplay is designed to be pay-to-win, which is the same on the sims 4, but, the game was created before sims 4, so it doesn't actually compare nonetheless, but the sims 3, wasn't pay-to-win. The basegame had enough to serve. The freeplay has no DLCs, but it has a second currency, which is OP, as EA does. The sims freeplay lets you skip everything, so long as you have the desired amount of money. The sims 4, while still a money grabber, and pay 2 win, they still cannot set up real time interactions. And don't forget; when you play for long enough it can take your sim regularly 10 seconds to wash his hands, but then, if you play enough, it'll go up to 1 minute. You cannot speed up time. The sims freeplay is the worst sims game EA could've created. But the point of sims freeplay, is to pull in little kids who want the PC version of the sims, and make them beg their parents for money. This is all the game was designed to do. and by all means, it 100% worked. It worked on me, my sister, and it worked on extended family as well. I respect your opinion, but please do understand what the game did set out to do originally. If you did play the original sims mobile game, which was way before freeplay, you couldn't have a 2 sim household, or children, but you could do the basics of the game, but not in real time. that game however was ended support in 2014 or whenever it was, so you can't play it on modern devices. The reason it disappeared was to lore people into playing the sims freeplay. Also, one thing to add: they added all of those features simply for stretch goals, of course, no one ever simply got to that point, most people rage quit, actually, i don't even think i ever got that far into the game. The game is not meant to be fun, in truth. sorry if my english was bad with this. i do hope it doesn't come off as mean or something, sorry if it did, i do respect your opinion though, i just felt it is needed to add these more important details before people feel jealousy with the sims 4 vs the sims freeplay.
The Sims Freeplay is first Sims game which I play, and at first I loved it so much, because then for me, life simulation game was something so good no matter how it looks like. Now, when I now for Sims 4 and Sims franchise, and play Sims 4 and Sims 3, for me is hard to play The Sims Freeplay (and Sims Mobile), because they are different types of game, they are mobile games, but what I don't love for Sims 4 and Sims 3 is having too much DLC which I have to buy for better gameplay. That's my opinion.
I've played FreePlay, but not in awhile. I much before the open sandbox style of 4. But it is a fun little game to have on your phone for down time when you are out and about. Waiting in line somewhere, on breaks at work, etc.
Hmm let me know! I couldn't find anything but it was hard for some research and I got the having babies wrong (originally you did have to get married but now you dont). They have had so many uodates so it is possible I missed It? But here it does seem like preteens are basically functioning like children
I wish some of the furniture in the sims freeplay was in the sims 4. Some of the kitchen appliances and counters ARE SO GOOD! I keep trying the sims freeplay out because I keep giving up. I have to wait like 24 hours for them to make food and it gets really annoying after awhile.
I honestly don't get the point of The Sims Freeplay.. I don't understand the fun of the game telling you to do quests and stuff. The Sims 4 is much better because you can do whatever you want without the game telling you what to do.
also you can control all your sims in sims freeplay, but in sims 4 you can only control one household at a time. in sims 4 you can build a house for free but in sims freeplay you need money sims 4 is a better game but i wish you could control all your sims one after another even if they lived in different households, and that a sim could continue doing a work instead of stopping when you entered into it's lot again with another sim
Honestly, all the things free play has that sims 4 doesn’t still doesn’t make it worth it at all to me. The fact that it’s a mobile game with everything mobile games entail make it bad. I hate mobile games, everything is locked and takes an excruciating amount of time to unlock. Micro transactions. Adding irl people gets you special rewards which basically prompt people into becoming spammers or begging friends to also play. This is all stuff I hate about mobile games across the board, but it just feels worse because the sims is supposed to be about freedom to do what you want and mobile games seem to be about dragging everything out as long as possible so players get frustrated and pay real money for basic functionality.
I agree. I mean I know it's matter of personal preference but I am not into mobile games or the system at all. I think if Sims 5 went this route that would be a big no from me. I think what happens ispeople seeitems they want here, but at the end of the day it offers a less immersive experience, not more
In my opinion I always wanted to play "The Sims 4" but I just never had the computer nor did I have enough money to get the stuff I needed since the sims 4 is such a huge game and anything can go wrong and then I found "The Sims Freeplay" It was fun but it takes so long for the sleeping or any tasks unlike The Sims 4 you can do anything on there which takes a few minutes its a freeplay game theres no quests as far as I know plus there's more clothing and hair and much more I love simulation games but I'm more obsessed with the sims 4 I just got the sims 4 a few months ago but my laptop is messed up so I need to get a new one and see if it works better and takes up the space I always see people play it and it's amazing~♡
I'm fine with sims freeplay my only problem with it is that when new people play this they often miss events and EA Firemonkeys often doesn't bring them back for newer players
I understand that the sims was scrapped and they had to quickly start over but they could have took their time. They could make an upgraded version of sims free play making actions quicker. And still have features from sims 2, 3, and 4. I hope to see something like this in sims 5 at least.
This took me a long while actually but I enjoyed it
There are also ducks and xylephone as another music item for babies! And interactable careers before get to work even came out
I knew about for babies but wow yeah there are a lot of features!
Thanks
I really want a grocery store in the Sims 4
Oh hell no. Hated the quest in both the Sims free play and the Sims mobile.
Omg same. This game is overrated
Calm Before The Storm for sure
I wouldn't be into the quests either. I know it's personal preference but not for me
Sims freeplay has a special place in my heart, when I hadn't even heard of sims 4 and could only play free games. It was my life!

I think it's important ! people see preteen and get angry but they are mostly just basic kids
Honestly even though it isn’t completely flushed out - it is pretty annoying that this free mobile game has features that us players that pay for the game have been begging for.
But also don’t forget that this mobile game has been out since 2011 which makes it nine years old...
Tae’Lyn Omari but also don’t forget that sims 4 was started in 2008 which means they had 12 years to add the stuff in 😊
Trust me sims 4 way of doing thing is way better than how this game works, I played it for years.
I get that. I will say, it's just so very different . I thinkt it;s much easier to program and takes less budget so that is important to take into consideration. However, many of these features should nonetheless be in 4
@Maliha Rahman wait the sims freeplay has expansions?
I didn’t know Sims freeplay had so many features lol. It was a blast before I bought the sims 4.
Going back I was shocked remembering I had to wait 10 minutes to bake a cake.
Oh gosh that must have taken so much patience!
Didn’t it take like 24 hours to make a birthday cake cause I remember that for when I wanted to age up a sim and it suckeddddd

@@SimmerErin today
I’m just gonna say it the sims free play also has cars
It has a lot of things yes. I see why people look at it but in some ways it seems it mostly has things 2 and 3 had
@@SimmerErin I still don't get how 2-3 gets a car but it gets removed in 4 and 4 is suppose to be the superior version but yeah I don't get how sims 4 became a downgrade in terms of features in the game
It’s very grindy, it’s like a remastered version of the sims social, You get one world and you have to pay if you want to progress quickly, it takes so long to complete a quest or anything, you can’t stack interactions, no money cheats, No open world (Same in sims 4), No community lot type, you have to unlock that
Has so many features or sims 3 however, bunk beds, horses and other small pets, Hundreds of micro transactions, Stag dos and Hen dos stuff like that
It feels as if the sims social and the sims 3 make a mobile game.
@Artoria Pendragon same
For as long as I played, I spent vary little money.
Larry Iaquinta Yea you don’t need to to progress per say, but it’s very slow otherwise
Oh yeah that seems like a fair analogy. It does seem it would take a long time to progress in this game
there are no money cheats per say but i’ve been playing the hacked version (download the hacked infinite money version, save it on my fb acc, delete the hacked version and download the normal one then enter my fb acc there and boom so much money), u do have to redo it every couple of months or year (in my case bc i build a lot so i spend a lot of money, if u don’t then it’s not frequent at all), so it still an option! obviously tho not nearly as good as ts4 but that shouldn’t even be a question
I wish there was a way to combine the best of both, but I guess that's too much to ask.

Freeplay takes so long to do simple things. Some actions takes days. And the money your sims collect are not per household. The money one person has, every other sim has too.
I would not have the patience!
I only stopped playing because if it crashed I would lose all my progress because I didn't back it up to the cloud...other than that I think it was amazing through its years and I am aware they have got more things now...so I would reccomend this over sims 4 for _new_ players..(jus my opinion)
kkplaza LTD how do you get the hacked version? What’s it called

I would hate those waiting times. And thank you!
Just use one of the modded APK's, no wait times with unlimited simoleons and lp, you even get VIP 15 so it's a win-win for me.
for sims freeplay, the one thing that aggravates me is how long the quests can take. like reading a specific book can take a whole day. i love the interactions, hobbies, and other things. babies actually aren’t just objects and are pretty fun. it’s a pretty fun game besides the long quests!
I bet that would take a lot of patience!
In Sims freeplay you can send a baby alone to the park... So Sims freeplay win
Bruh they can’t even do anything so why do you care at the park yeah they. Can be there and do what ? Crawl around

Ha! Well I guess at least it brought back some memories for you
Omg sims free play was my life as a 9 year old. It takes 24 hours to make a cake. I don’t know if this has changed, but your sims made more money from going to school than being a teacher. It was ridiculous
24 hours my goodness that is crazy!
Simmer Erin good ole times. Lol
I know you could propose but i think weddings were just an interaction not an event. but i was young then so my memory could be deceiving me
No you're likely right. A lot of these were more recent updates. Of course trailers like the wedding one can also be a little deceiving too
I’ve been playing Sims FreePlay for at least 5-6 years, and have had to restart it 3 times on different devices. It’s incredibly frustrating to play unless you have a lot of money and/or are at a high level. I got Sims 4 about a year ago and love the fact that my sims don’t look like literal potatoes anymore :)
Great video by the way!
Lol yes of course the graphics are better. And yikes that sounds frustrating!
I think that's part of it, and also it's far less advanced and much easier to program too
I wish changing the time could work... if they chsnge that ill go play
True. It hurts to be very patient with completing the Quests. Lol

It's possible although people saw that a long while back, and for other things as well. Hard to say. Of course we do have ladders now...
i have both sims freeplay & sims 4 . i feel both have pros & cons and hopefully in the feature they can combine some features together in whole glorious game
They do, but hmm not sure how they'd be one game? One is simply a very different style of play
Yeah in fairness to it I don't expect nuanced personalities, but that def is a downside!
I imagine it must get expensive quickly
@@SimmerErinit is. I started playing Freeplay and the price of empty lot was only 4,500 simoleans dollar. Then after a week, the price increased to 24,500. Is that a threefold or 4 folds price hike?

Aw that's so sweet
I'm happy for you. Your aunt may liked playing Sims when she was younger, maybe

SimChase are time consuming & it's very hard to play unless you set an alarm for each tasks & you're really rich that you've can skip an episode for that day.
Live events are quite frustrating to me. They're too much items for us to collect if we want to purchase a pack. The spin is the worst! You can expect that you'll get only a constructor coin for 450 candles...

If The Sims Freeplay’s task didn’t take an entire DAY to complete.. boy oh boy this game will be light years ahead of The Sims 4!!
This was the first ever Sims game I’ve played for several years as a child and
while I definitely had a blast with it, I think the quests/objectives in this game have gone way beyond insane.
When I first found out that could SPEED UP time in a Sims game, I ALMOST CRIED 😭
PS. I miss Sunset Mall in The Sims FreePlay. That’s literally the only Sims game with a MALL you could explore in! Why can’t we have that in The Sims 4 😭
the sims freeplay had toddlers before the sims 4 and thats all you need to know
That's a little sad. On one hand, it is far more simple to program this game but on the other idk why sims 4 didn't have toddlers to begin with

They do have nice features, reminds me of Sims 2 and 3
I personally really like doing quests in Sims Freeplay. I think it would be great if I could have quests on Sims 4 too. However I hate the excessive waiting times
I would too. Ha. Idk, I think it's juts a very different game, for different play styles
we need bunk beds, more pets, life stage interactions and hobbies, better babies and boat homes
It's interesting. My argument is that it's easier to program in freeplay but most of these things are simply things we had in Sims 2 and 3
@@SimmerErin because its a mobile game its definetley easier to program
I Hate that I had to wait for so long to complete a quest, for example Love & Treasure Discovery Quest.

1 LP for 1 hour 🤨 and I don't want to spend my real money to buy LP (Lifestyle Points)
Crazy how many hours of real time it takes just to fulfill one task in the quest.
Well a trip down nostalgia if nothing else lol
Honestly I would never have the patience!
The Sims Freeplay was one of my favorite games of all time. Minus how expensive it is to literally play the game with the quests, it’s impossible to get through it if you’re a busier person. But if modded (with a lot of money) it becomes pretty fun.
what kind of mods are available
Ha I could see that! I am afraid I'd still be impatient but see how that could work
@@SimmerErin i'm still really impatient lol. but i have like 2 of my 9 sims who don't have jobs? so i can have them do quests or more short-term things, while everyone else is earning me some good 'ol moolah. that usually helps with my impatience? and like some of the job branches you can go to work with them, and do tasks.
p.s.
i know cheating sucks, but i use it in sims freeplay. i take the japanese retreat with no sims or houses in my save, then i sell it all. you’ll make 50’000 back. just continue and you’ll get millions in a 1 or so :)
Oh I feel sims players of all kinds are quite accustomed to cheating lol
I played sims 4 for awhile, now my laptop is low on storage so I was thinking freeplay
okay if you just get the cheats for freeplay its just amazing , the babies, dogs, seasons , cars, real babies (not objects) toddlers EVERYTHING FOR FREE AND in the sims 4 you have to buy these which can cost a lot and also job i know a lot of people don’t like the speed time but its actually worth it rather then 40$ and if you have cheats you are sorted
really ! I feel it wouldn't be for me but I do admire all the content they give. Thanks for your perspective
Okay, now I remember loving the sims freeplay because I cheated the game and got unlimited xp so I could skip through all the times.
Lol! how'd you manage that
@@SimmerErin just search happymod or panda helper for android. Panda helper also works on iOS buts it’s revoked
FINALLY someone is talking about this
Hope to do more videos like this!
Honestly you can’t compare the sims 4 to the sims free play, because sims 4 is wayy better in everything you can make better looking sims and do a lot of stuff while on sims free play you look bad
The toddlers going around like superheroes would be pretty nice to have in The Sims 4 it reminds me of the Rugrats when they were super babies 🥰
Ha yes it does kind of look like rugrats.
the real-time feature is my only problem. years ago, there used to be a cheat method wherein you can adjust the time to finish the tasks, but i think EA knew about it and fixed it. now, i dont have enough time to play this, but it feels nostalgic to me seeing this vid.
Yeah, I heard there was some sort of cheat. Real time I just wouldn't have the time or patience for!
I STAN SIMS FREEPLAY AMEN
Have you played it
@@fluffycat8026 yes, i have the hacked version with 100M simoleons and 2 billion SP
Martin Loston
Oh ok, I never knew there was a version like that. I asked because if you have the normal mode the game sucks, but with that hack, woah this game would be so epic
Not my thing but I can see some may like it. It's def very different
may I ask how u hacked it?
In my own experience, Sims4 is much better than Freeplay because in Sims4 I can build and create more sims and houses whatever I want while in Freeplay, everything is waiting and limited.
they are very different games, and imo for different audiences and purposes. I personally dislike fully free to play games and find them mostly more shallow and lacking
@@SimmerErin why sims 3 removed from AppStore
I've been playing freeplay since it started 😁😁 I only ever stopped because I kept running out of space on my phone and I'm really impatient so waiting real time hours isn't the best option for me 🤣
It for sure wouldn't be a great option for me either
Same but my phone just took it off and the app store not working for me I hate old phones lol
In terms of babies in the Sims FreePlay, you don't actually have to be married to have them. You do however have to reach the "partner" relationship status. Just thought I'd clarify that. :)
I meant to put a pinned comment and never did, because I realized my mistake!
Another aspect that I noticed is that Freeplay has better furniture and objects where as in the Sims 4 you mostly have to get cc
I actually don't mind Sims 4 bb at all-- though more color variations would be nice
Yeah, it's a very lackluster model imo, but of course, mobile games are always going to be fairly limited i comparison
I think 4 is improving and I like some of the recent updates, but it certainly started with shaky foundation. And good to have you back!
The sims free play got me into the sims. Me being intersex i wanted an escape from life when i was younger and sims has helped me cope with life back then.
I bet you have a special nostalgia for it
@@SimmerErin yes 😍 especially for sims 3
Sims freeplay would have been the perfect game without the long waiting times and high prices, so Ima go with Sims 4
Yeah I don't think I'd love the wait!
@@SimmerErin it's pretty annoying. Thank god you can skip time in sims 4 xd
Tbh u dont really need to have to get married to have a baby. You need to finish the "Love is in the air quest" first tho, once u finish it u can get the "Two and a half sims" quest and when your done u can just click on the crib and get a baby.
I just wanted to point that out, I also love your videos!! 💕💖💖
Yes I know I need to make a pinnd comment--apparently it used to be like that but thankfully it was updated. And thanks!
Adding a baby to a crib sounds like having adopted baby. I want my sims to get pregnant and birth their own baby
Yeah I could see that being annoying. Yes Sims 4 had a reputation for being quite easy tbh I'd like a balance between the two
Wait.. I only just checked that you only have 14k subs?!? You deserve all subs!!
Can you do the sims mobile too?
Aw thanks! lol for me that's a lot. Yes sure when I get a chance I'd love to!
the sims freeplay is actually amazing though. i’v played it my whole life (over 10 years) and i’v never gotten board of it. it has 99.9 percent actually free gameplay like the name suggests and even another version of the spa day pack which is my favorite pack in the sims 4, but with even more fetures. i know the waiting times are long but it’s honestly okay and really fun if you play it daily and get used to the waiting times. i love the story centered gameplay and honesty this game is a classic. yes, even though it only had 2 worlds, yes, even though we had limited hairstyles, yes, even though it has levels, even though it had quests, yes, even though the graphics are different to the sims 4, it’s just one of those games that desrves a medal for bieng a certified hood classic like the sims 1,2, or 3
The point here was that people are directly comparing the two- but they are very different games. I don't like any free to play games; some do!
@@SimmerErin i know sorry just had to give my opinion and credit to the game that i love
Honestly I like the sims freeplay better than the sims 4, if you get the hack it's actually really fun.
Fair enough
The sims freeplay does remind me of ts3 alot tho
hmm how so
Okay so, it has some if its features cause when they release the sims 3 mobile it was just like tsf=the sims freeplay. It has like it's open world, music when you fo to cas they removed some of it, the world music like chasing the stars from sims 3 and others, if you look in can see that it has the sims 3 shirt in there, they was toddlers, preteens, and adults sounds similar to the kids, toddlers, and adults/teens
Also, it has similar music to ts3
Since the sims 3 (mobile version) turned into sims freeplay in 2011 it had the same logo and in those times it had the simular music to the the sims 3 but they update it
Oh btw I was only 2 when ts3 came out lol so I never played it I watch other people play it and I listen to the music and pay alot of attention to the game play.
Stages for free play are baby, toddler, pre-teen, teen, adult and elder
Also cars they have cars
hmm interesting
Also, toddlers are considered children, the quest to unlock them in my country it is called: Quest for Children.
the sims freeplay and the sims mobile is actually better than all the other sims cuz the other sims are expensive and the consoles are expensive
it is more affordable perhaps guess it depends
Yeah 🧕🏻🧕🏻
I don't think you have to get married to have babies in Sims Freeplay anymore, they probably changed that a while ago.
Yeah I messed that up. I guess an update changed that luckily
Yeah it isn't a fair comparison. and at this point I don't trust Sims 4 would really give much depth to make pre teens worthwhile
I can imagine! Yes they simply are very different types of games
Honestly if they made the sims 4 like the sims freeplay id play it wayyy more. The sims FreePlay is just superior to me
how so? Curious to hear your thoughts
I've played FreePlay, but not in awhile. I much before the open sandbox style of 4. But it is a fun little game to have on your phone for down time when you are out and about. Waiting in line somewhere, on breaks at work, etc.
Yep. I think it has a very different context and can be enjoyed for what it is
I swear there are kids......maybe I’m thinking of pre-teens
Hmm let me know! I couldn't find anything but it was hard for some research and I got the having babies wrong (originally you did have to get married but now you dont). They have had so many uodates so it is possible I missed It? But here it does seem like preteens are basically functioning like children
Simmer Erin I looked into it and I don’t think there is kids I was most likely thinking pre-teens were kids
I wish some of the furniture in the sims freeplay was in the sims 4. Some of the kitchen appliances and counters ARE SO GOOD! I keep trying the sims freeplay out because I keep giving up. I have to wait like 24 hours for them to make food and it gets really annoying after awhile.
That's a great idea! I'd love to look at what furniture they have.
I honestly don't get the point of The Sims Freeplay.. I don't understand the fun of the game telling you to do quests and stuff. The Sims 4 is much better because you can do whatever you want without the game telling you what to do.
I guess people enjoy the mobile nature/ and less involved gameplay. I can't say it's for me
Agreed
Agreed 💯
Agreed 💯
also you can control all your sims in sims freeplay, but in sims 4 you can only control one household at a time.
in sims 4 you can build a house for free but in sims freeplay you need money
sims 4 is a better game but i wish you could control all your sims one after another even if they lived in different households, and that a sim could continue doing a work instead of stopping when you entered into it's lot again with another sim
I admit I probably wouldn't have the patience!
There’s also sims mobile which aesthetically looks just like the sims 4
Yes I'm aware of sims mobile. I plan to do something on that too
Simsfreeplay was my first sims game i ever played took 3 years to finish I miss playing it wish my phone still worked
ah feel you--my phone is very old lol
Thank god I have cheats.
Ha yeah
I'm fine with sims freeplay my only problem with it is that when new people play this they often miss events and EA Firemonkeys often doesn't bring them back for newer players
Ah so you really have to keep caught up
They Do. You Have To Wait Through. Every Event They Bring Back Events
I understand that the sims was scrapped and they had to quickly start over but they could have took their time. They could make an upgraded version of sims free play making actions quicker. And still have features from sims 2, 3, and 4. I hope to see something like this in sims 5 at least.
Yes this exactly. And yep I think every game has good features I just think 4 probably should not have been released as it was
Horses I found lived on my property unfortunately it was a glitch very difficult to move them I think the fire monkeys had to fix it.
i'd honestly love it if you did a video on sims mobile!
I will look into it!
