But to be honest, when I made my first own pizza from 0, i did something like a rain dance of happiness, so i guess its not from nothing (still boring after 99x time tho...) XD
Through all the little details in 2 that were absent in 1, you can tell that Maxis were excited to express themselves and their new ideas for a next-gen game with the capability to bring so much more to life. There was passion there.
I realise why I enjoy the Sims 2 - its the movement, quirks and surprising details like the baked Alaska, how the Sim would react to the food that made the game playable many times over.
I always have a soft spot for Sims 3 cooking. It felt very realistic and I loved going to the grocery store and picking out ingredients and buying new recipes, or cooking a family member’s favorite for their birthday. It was the little things. The Sims 4 is weird. I love the new cultural dishes and the variety but it still feels weirdly shallow. I think it’s the ways skills themselves work and the fact that I can’t set any kind of favorite or preference without sacrificing one of the only three traits you get. I feel like I can take different approaches to cooking in TS3 but weirdly don’t feel like I have as much flexibility in TS4 despite all of the new options.
Yeah I really want them to add food favorites as a favorite type. Having just one favorite was a bit weird in 3 (and you couldn't change it so a kid would have the same favorite their whole life) but it was still nice to have them recognize it and specifically get that bonus if you made it. Since there's so many foods maybe they can do do categories like they did with personality traits, like put everything that would have pork together so we can have halal or kosher sims. Also in 3 they were better at recognizing which foods were for what meal. Only the insane or childish sims would automatically eat cake for breakfast. Littlemisssam has a mod that improves it but it's annoying
@@keit99 Yes they did, so they just need to add it as a category. It's mostly pretty cool, they even have unique descriptions for the moodlets when someone likes or dislikes things. Right now we have color, decor, fashion, music, hobbies and skills, conversation topics and types of Sim (though we can't find those last two out for other sims yet)
I notice that Sims 4 feels like they make the animation for cooking silly to distract how low quality and lazy the food looks while making it compared to other games.
I’m definitely biased but Sims 3 is my personal favorite! Also being able to shop for ingredients is a great feature (even better if you get the nraaas mod that requires ingredients to be able to cook). Who else gets kind of nervous when the TS4 sim spins that knife around?😅
I liked the sims 2 but the sims 3 had me in a chokehold! I didn’t like the sims 4 at first but once they fixed and expanded the game more I liked it. If they created open world for the sims 4, owning multiple properties and the color wheel, it would be the best sims game in my opinion.
For Sims 4, I had to use a mod so my sims wouldn't be so over the top and showboaty when cooking. Miss how the sims prepared food from the Sims 2. Never played 3, but it looks pretty impressive from what I've seen.
The Sims 2 has the best meal preparation in the series with only a few let downs as there’s no particles when pouring or chopping and the food in the mixing bowl doesn’t spin which both appear in the Sims 3.
The over exaggerated animations of the sims 4 will never not annoy me, my patience would not cope 😅 also the laziness of the whole oven animation 20:25 is outstandingly bad that it doesn’t match up where the rack just teleports back into the oven because they couldn’t be bothered to animate sims bending down. They cut lots of corners and it shows, which knowing sims 4 was intended to be a mobile game makes even more sense now that there’s no in-depth animations. I’m sure the animators are good at what they do, but given the time constraints I imagine they had no choice but to cut said corners, yet with how much money this game has made EA, there’s no excuse for it really. I have major concerns for TS5 with all that in mind. Expect more corners to be cut. 😬

the sims 1: good amount of detail especially for the time, real effort put in good prep, had the texture because of its time (2000) the sims 2: most realistic meal preparation, detailed as hell, beautifully styled. a *20 year old* game the sims 3: the most realistic looking textures at least to me, (the sims 3 art style and textures are a personal favourite.) less detail and realism of the food prep than sims 2. sims just pull a mixing bowl from their ass. it still looks good, at the sacrifice of some details. as of now this is an almost *15 year old* game. looks the best out of them all the sims 4: unrealistic cooking prep, most foods look like they are being made the same way when using the cutting board and mixing bowl. it looks as though salt and pepper and tomatoes are cut up for every meal including desserts?? sims wave their hand for EVEN MORE things than ever before to just magically appear. the art style is revolting for a game of its time similar to claymation (claymation is fine, but not for this game) and both the sims 2 and 3 look much more realistic. the food textures are horrific, worst looking *so far* worse than a child's playdough sculpture. overall lacking real depth, the cooking feature, as well as the sims 4 as a whole, is the worst out of the 4. the other games look and feel like care was put into them. the sims 4 feels soulless.
Hey Mole! I wanted to talk to you for days now. Have you not been home? Also what do you mean the sims 4 is the worst?? It has juggling knives!! Isn't that realistic when prepping your play-doh breakfast?

Fun Fact: In the Sims 4, there are certain foods that can effect your sim's mood. For example: Heart cookies will make your sim flirty and gummy bear pancakes will make your sim playful.

But to be honest, when I made my first own pizza from 0, i did something like a rain dance of happiness, so i guess its not from nothing (still boring after 99x time tho...) XD
I love all of them. Because watching the sims cook the food is super satisfying regardless of the game.
We really took the sims 2 for granted. All the love and care they put in it and it showed!!! 😢
Didn't they add a like/dislike System now? Where you can choose stuff like music they like colours sim traits....
You can also shop for groceries in the sims 2, you can even go inside the grocery shop!
Never played 3, but it looks pretty impressive from what I've seen.
what mod is it plss

@@NikoTurtle TS4: NO Cooking Tricks and Overreactions MOD by channel4sims
That sims 4 sim doing the Maniacal laugh while cooking like if shes doing something mischievous with the food
She is evil, so she does that a lot unfortunately ❤️
"Sims 4 has more options that affect nothing except the flavour text while having worse animations and graphics, as well as less actual gameplay" is a comment that's true for this video and virtually any other sims comparison video. With cows for some reason being the only exception
The Sims 2 was chefs kiss . 🤌🏼
Who the hell cooks like in Sims 4?
No one. Thats who 😂
People who want the spagghetti sauce spilled all over them...
@michaeljbowker9782challenge everything, including your normality
The garden salad in sims 4 gave me chills... for all the wrong reasons.
The veggies are prepared, why is she spinning the bowl like a maniac? It shouldn't take that long to mix prepared salad and put it on a plate 😭
The crazy laughing while cooking was pure cringe 😳😵💫
Only cooked for grilled cheese aspiration.
the sims 1: good amount of detail especially for the time, real effort put in good prep, had the texture because of its time (2000)
the sims 2: most realistic meal preparation, detailed as hell, beautifully styled. a *20 year old* game
the sims 3: the most realistic looking textures at least to me, (the sims 3 art style and textures are a personal favourite.) less detail and realism of the food prep than sims 2. sims just pull a mixing bowl from their ass. it still looks good, at the sacrifice of some details. as of now this is an almost *15 year old* game. looks the best out of them all
the sims 4: unrealistic cooking prep, most foods look like they are being made the same way when using the cutting board and mixing bowl. it looks as though salt and pepper and tomatoes are cut up for every meal including desserts?? sims wave their hand for EVEN MORE things than ever before to just magically appear. the art style is revolting for a game of its time similar to claymation (claymation is fine, but not for this game) and both the sims 2 and 3 look much more realistic. the food textures are horrific, worst looking *so far* worse than a child's playdough sculpture. overall lacking real depth, the cooking feature, as well as the sims 4 as a whole, is the worst out of the 4. the other games look and feel like care was put into them. the sims 4 feels soulless.
Hey Mole! I wanted to talk to you for days now. Have you not been home?
Also what do you mean the sims 4 is the worst?? It has juggling knives!! Isn't that realistic when prepping your play-doh breakfast?
@@ember9361That’s Mole2 😂 And he has been home, just busy practising his ballet 🤣
0:47 i remember as a kid i didn't understand that you really need minimum 1 skill in cooking to avoid near guaranteed fire, and so i never bought my sim a stove. it wasn't until the game gave me a random tip that i can avoid nothing but salads if i have a stove that i realized what i had put my guy through
Fun Fact: In the Sims 4, there are certain foods that can effect your sim's mood. For example: Heart cookies will make your sim flirty and gummy bear pancakes will make your sim playful.
And that'll be another $40, thank you ☝️🤓
That ding of food being done in TS2 still gives me anxiety because half the time it meant my Sim burned the food or it was going to be a fire 😅
the sims 2: sims really get the utensils from the kitchen cabinet
the sims 3 and 4: utensils magically appears in the sim's hand
I don't know why The Sims 4 always scream and laugh? Like a crazy psycho :(
Sims 1 *while steering the pot*: “ouch”
Also sims 1 *holding a hot pan right off the stove*:🗿
I love cooking in all of the Sims series. I also love that you don’t put music in the video. I love hearing the actual sounds. It’s very ASMR ❤
16:10 A little mistake here , steam cooker was added in For Rent , not Home chef hustle
Yes! It got mixed up in my document ❤️❤️
The familiar sounds of sims 1: ow! Ouch! Ow!
detail : when your sim has fresh chef trait food will never spoil
Cooking in the Sims 1 was a death wish unless you'd put at least 2 skill points into cooking immediately after starting your household
With as many times as sims cut their fingers when cooking im suprised theyre still always glued together
I always loved the details in Sims 2
I love the freaking logic of the first Sims: chop vegetables -> boil soup -> end result: steak and beans
I like the variety of foods in ts4 but I gotta give this one to ts2
The oly meal with a unique effect in sims 3 is ambrosia, it will always be "glowing" a hazy glow when its done not sure why this dish the the only one unique
Didn't ambrosia revive ghosts that eat it? Or am I mistaken?
@@ChXris yes it does
@@ChXrisIf I recall correctly, ambrosia also resets the age bar of the current life stage the sim was in. If a living sim ate it, the age bar would just reset. If a ghost ate it, they’d be revived and the age bar would reset.
12:58 first thing this idiotic sim from sims 4 does is moan lmaooo i hate sims 4, my god, it sucks
Saaaammme the food in Sims 4 looks like Play-Doh.😂😂
lmfaooo same
i love when they're sitting there, doing nothing and then just burst out a fat moan because they're happy or w/e
I love The Sims 2. I never played it. From what I can see, the animations had a lot of time and effort put into. I love how she sets the table properly. I can't find it on steam. I only have The Sims 4 and I wish it had all of these features.
Did you check my comment on the pizza one? 🤣
you can get the sims 2 for free! google osab's starter pack :)
Sims 2 and you can expand your menu with cc which I have .
Yeah
I love how none of them ever used a glove/mitten to take out the food from the piping hot oven 😂
That's what I was thinking, they just go and take so casually
sims 4 girlie didnt need to be doing all that c'mon now..
also the constant clashing of the knives...
Sims 2 had it all. Even the little screen stuff like the food steaming and being picked up instead of being teleported like in the Sims 4.
So:
Sims 2: Best
Sims 3: Good
Sims 4: lazy
Sims 1: ok
I hate how extravagant sims 4 was. When i miss play sims 4 i will just remember they have terrible cooking animation
I will always be a sucker for sims 1. Its the nostalgia of the early 2000s
Lo único bueno de los sims4 es que hay muchísima mas variedad de platos a preparar respecto a otros juegos de la saga.
I loved cooking in the Sims games! Well made video. All those shots must’ve taken a while to angle. Great work
Thank you so much dear! It really was time consuming ❤️❤️❤️
the 4th one is just…so unrealistically extra😭
Surprisingly, but in only Sims 2, the sim uses the kitchen cabinet to get the dishes.
This is my Score of all sims games:
Sims 1: 9.0/10
Sims 2: 9.1/10
Sims 3: 8.9/10
Sims 4: 8.0/10
giving the sims 4 an 8 is very, very, very generous of you
How is sims 1 better than sims 3?
@@EdwardSmith-gs1xg I know that the third game is incredible, but in my opinion, Sims 2 is better and if I say that Sims 1 got a 9.0 it is because it is a masterpiece that revolutionized the genre.
and if you say the sims 3 is better well, is good.
@@joaoespana5740 you right sims 2 is better but I love sims 3 more
@@EdwardSmith-gs1xg yeah thats good
Even in cooking sims 4 is bugged😂😂
I love the Sims 2. The amount of detail they put into the graphics and animations is the gold standard for the series.
I can hear a lot of "Ow"s and "Ouch"s in the first Sims game while the sim is cooking.
The Sims laughing when cooking look so evil in The Sims3 and The Sims4...
Sims 2 is hand's down the best.
Sims 4 karakteri yemek yaparken deli deli hareketler yapıp kendi kendine gülüyor
I rlly like your content, its so comforting watching your comparaison videos on a hot summer day!
This reminded me that the jump from sims 1 to 2 was astronomical. What a time.
Sims1,2,3:um...yummy
Sims4:Please do not play the food😂
Sims 2 was made with love and it shows in every single video
Can we just talk about how GLITCHED the oven in Sims 4 was?
No?
Okay then...
The sims 4 reminds me of my adhd brother
Man these sound effects made me feel all nostalgic
So many memories of hours upon hours playing all of these
In the Sims 2 sims 3 and sims 4 cooking animation is greatest cooking animation i ever seen same with the sims 1…to be fair all this games is greatest sims games of all time…also i gonna with sims 2 and 3 is winner
2:01 me asf waiting for my food to heat 😭
And that's why I love sims 2, there was a lot of effort, sims 4, on the other hand, is a ridiculous and that's why they give away everything because now competition is coming... They screwed up too much, I'm sticking with Sims 2 and vll I'm trying inzoi😊❤
Sims 4 (DLC) Detailed Cooking Pack - $4.99
It's annoying how Sims 4 cooking is full of animation glitches that they never bother to fix, yet keep introducing new recipes...
Seeing my Sims cooking is one of my favorite parts of playing because it is so relaxing, that’s why I personally prefer The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 cooking, it’s really detailed and you don’t have the sims laughing and being goofy every single second like 😭 who thought that was a good idea?
What's your next Sims comparison video going to cover? Baking? Barbecue grills? Birthday parties? Weddings?
Will no one notice how cute Sim is waiting for food while looking at the microwave? I also looked in when I was a child when I came home from school.
i just switched to s3 and i love this videos because it so easy to learn features
