Watching this for ideas on what to get to take to golf tournament. Looks like the basic, simple, light, cheap, bag chair wins for carrying around and setting up multiple times for quick sits is the winner.
Thank you fod doing imperial AND metric system!! Also amazing how you talk, explain, sleechspeed and your voice! So informative! Also interesting would be if you sit longer but i guess that depends on the person (hight weight)
Excellent reviews and commentary about these chairs. The Alpha Camp Oversized is very close to the Renetto chairs I own. I like my chairs, but it has become very difficult for me to get up and out of the chair anymore. I wish Renetto (or anyone else) made an extra thick, firm foam insert to deal with this issue.
Good reviews. I bought a couple of Cliq chairs for quickie set up - if we're driving and want to stop and make a sandwich and sit by the road, something like that. But I also got a pair of the Cliq Lounge chairs. They cost twice as much, but they take care of that had support that you were commenting on. I why did some thing for night sky watching over camping at the lounge allows you to tip back or sit forward a bit with straps right by the headrest you just reach up and you can make adjustments while you're still in the chair. But the clerks are so small that I can store all four of them in our teeny little 17 foot Solis pocket camper van. I just don't have room for anything else. We did have an REI flex-lite dream, which provided nice head support for lounging. But it has those sharp corded, tinker toy legs, and they just drove us crazy. And it doesn't have any mesh, so it tended to blow away. When we downsized to the little van, we gave that chair away and got the Cliqs. Another chair that some people really like - I didn't - was the GCI Pico. That's the directors chair that folds up into something the size of a messenger bag. It seems like a good, well-made chair, and if you'd like to sit upright, well, a lot of people love them. But we want to lounge.
@@Ahnestly Yes, they're pricey! However, I got mine last year when they were $199, but there was a Labor Day sale with 20% off. That made them a whole lot more manageable. Also, I volunteered for a Pfizer vaccine trial for the RSV vaccine in seniors (which is just now on the market because it was a successful study - go, science!). I did it for science, but I discovered that I was going to be paid for it after I signed up. Sweet! I used the money they put on that debit card to buy things that I wouldn't normally splurge on. So I bought the two lounges with that. And the Cliq chairs I got on Amazon. One was during a Flash sale and it was $79 and the second one was a "Used like new" for $75. So you don't have to pay list price. (PS, sorry for some awful typos in my original post. I would go back and edit it, but I found out that if I do that after the OP has responded, it remove your remarks. Makes sense that they would do that to protect you. I could completely rewrite my post, so you're giving a thumbs up to something that you don't agree with. So my terrible proofing will just have to sit there..)
I have the gci rocker chair and love it! Mine is the beach version since I’m short. Only wish it came with a little side table or drink holder. Great review!
I have a couple iclimb style chairs from REI, def prefer that style seat as well. Great video, I can tell it’s really thought out. On a separate note, can you recommend a couple of you favorite ergo chairs that have a recline lock feature? Watched a bunch of your videos looking for a chair I can use for gaming / sim racing but it’s a tough feature to find. I’m 5’4” 150lbs, and would like something breathable if possible. Have an Aeron classic, love it, but doesn’t have the feature I’m asking. Think I’ll have to settle for secret labs or something. From what I’ve gathered from your videos you like this feature as well, so I wanted to ask you first. Happy to answer any questions if it helps you with suggestions as well, lmk 😊
Seeing chairs 2 and 3 were very useful and helped me focus on what to look for. I ended up finding a "LSLANSOON" 360-swivel backpacking chair that is almost as easy to put together as Chair 2, but with the backrest of Chair 3 and cheaper than both (£20 on Amazon) whilst allowing me to rotate like on an office chair. I can't comment on how good it would be as a camping chair, but as a portable office chair I can assemble anywhere on campus, it gets a big thumbs up from me so far 😁👍(I've only had it for a day)!
I just got the cliq and don’t really love it. I’m waiting on the gci pod rocker which I’m hoping will be better. If all else fails, gotta splurge on the yeti trailhead. Seems like the yeti might be the HM or Steelcase of the camping chair world. Thanks for doing this vid.
The iclimb is a nice chair for the price, all camp chairs eventually stop working after a few years. i remember all the times walking 1000 steps beach or crystal cove at laguna with a heavy 20lb bass pro chairs, never again.
If you’re gonna go with something like that Alpha Camp Oversized, e.g. you are gonna get a heavy chair and probably not hike with it, just get a Renetto. Super comfortable, holds a ton of weight and built-in sunshade with backpack straps. Or you can add on wheels.
I don’t like about it is you’ve got a squat way down like and I don’t like that. It’s really hard on my knees. So if they could bring it up more to a good maybe 1820 inches high like a regular dining room seat that would be a little better.
That medium rare comment got me giggling LOL. I recently purchased the Cliq chair and after seeing this video, Im glad I did. Yes, even tho it is the smallest chair in the video yet the most expensive, I think it is quite fair for what you get. The main reason I was thinking about chairs like these is for Portability and Convenience. For me, nothing beats the Portability and Convenience of the Cliq chair. The build quality on it is also insane, I am definitely not worried about it breaking down on me. It may not be the most comfortable chair on the video, but it sure as hell will be brought with me the most if Im planning to chill outside.

I just bring my Herman Miller out for camping.
Lol!
Don't be giving HM ideas now!
Attn product development- the remote workers have spoken
😅 left one of my broken ones on a terrace for just a little while and Herman Miller just is not waterproof man haha
Really appreciate the real life experience of these chairs taking into account the cost vs. comfort vs. useability.
Of course!
I have gci freestyle and roadtrip rocker, absolutely love it, took them to camping every time.
You talked me into the iClimb. They are cheaper in pairs on the big A. They also have a cool folding table to go with it.
Thanks for testing them outside. I tend to find that the ultra portable feet tend to sink into the ground and loose their "covers/caps".
awesome video, can’t wait to try out that GCI Freestyle Rocker I’ve never seen anything like it!!
Yeah it’s pretty awesome! My wife loves it
BEST TEST IS DRUNK AND DROPPING INTO THE CHAIR.. ITS A KILLER

You are a legend! Thank you for this helpful comment! And also, a baller!! Haha those CLIQ lounge chairs are PRICEY!!

6:07 the problem is you bought a cheap knock-off Helinox for the same price as a real Helinox.
Cool! Thank you very much, I think iclimb ultralight is great variant.

Great name! Thanks for the video.
Awesome! Thanks so very much. I enjoy watching your review.
Definitely got me looking for a better camping chair

Excellent video. Great personality. ☺️
Thank you!!
Solid comparison video, thanks
Thank you for the kind words!!
As a big guy, I'd love to know more about the weight capacity on these chairs. I've had plastic patio chairs literally shatter under me

Yeah, if the seat is below the knees I need help getting up.
Awesome review. Thanks!
11:56 I think a Rubik’s Cube might take less time to “solve”. 😊 Looks comfy though. Cheers.
The video I never knew I needed
YESS!!!
Why no nemo stargazer? Its the best
Great video thanks

Sad to see such a low amount of views for this vid. You deserve so much more!
Haha I appreciate the love! Really wanted this one to blow up, but every video is a learning experience!
thanks bro
You’re welcome bro
Alpha camp all the way
Wait..that last chair weighs 13lbs and only supports 200lbs?
Missing the most expensive of them... the Yeti Trailhead Chair.
This is sick
Great review! I went with the cliq due to its portability and ease of setup/breakdown.
I like medium rare
You're coming out medium rare 😂😂😂
Missed TCEK way better than cliq
You have to get drunk to test the chairs. Like really drunk. Passed out drunk. If it hurts you when you're drunk, it isn't a good chair.
i love this comment. so much.
👏👌🇳🇴🤠
Play back speed 1.25 thanks me later
That’s it? I go at least 1.5…
You lost me at 7 pounds "lightweight"
Ain’t nothing but a peanut! Haha compared to the 12lb monsters in this, 7lb felt like nothing
😂 “you come out medium rare “
Love your review
