"So this one's got a pocket as well, kind of a double pocket there. Fit your beer in there and your next beer. Yeah, not bad at all." 🍺🍺😆 Great video as always Andy.
I have had one of the “glamping” chair variations in my car for years. I bought it at a Walmart in Ohio in 2016. I’ve beaten the daylights out of it. Rivets have popped and screws have been lost. I’ve replaced them with stainless steel machine screws and Ny-Lock nuts. Portions of the chair material have worn out and been re-sewn and reinforced. It soldiers on and remains the most comfortable and welcoming seat to have ready to go anytime, anywhere. I probably could have replaced it with a new at least four or five times by now. At the price point and build quality, I don’t think they are meant to last more than a season or two. But the one I have is testament to the fact they can be kept going without too much fuss.
I didn't know that there were that many different designs of camping chair! But a very informative video thanks! Also love the little mouse that hops across the screen just behind the left side of your head @14:45 lol! 🙂
Only Andy could get me watching an entire video about sitting down! Man;s a genius presenter. He's correct: back support and non-sinkage are the essentials + a beer pocket or two...Thanks !
Great video, Andy! I love my cheep backpacking chair I got for like $20 about 4 years ago and I got made fun of so much till everyone was sitting on a log or the ground on our trip. It became quite popular after that 😛
For being unscripted you always do an amazing job explaining products. It also makes your reviews seem more honest and fun. Keep up the amazing work. I watch all your videos on your channels. Keep them coming.
I have a Trekology backpacking vhair that canacept a mesh bottom with a cinch strap that fits over the feet thn I run the strap up to the cross bar to tension it. it prevents sinking into mud. I have not tested it in snow but definitely keeps it fom sinking in mud. I caneven get it in the bag with the seat and frame and still close the bagt\
Was waiting for this one, much appreciate the length. I am comfortable in most, but for the ones that pack smaller, the frames are so tough but agree the seats tend to go at the corners in all designs after several uses (i do tend to lean, rock, stretch out my legs, etc. But am 25 to 75 lbs under weight limt). Then you are left with severely over designed strong frame. Wish some of the expensive ones sold seat replacements or really figured out reinfirced corners, some design that doesnt drpend 100 percent on corners, or some alt uses for those frames when the seat goes. Take care thanks for vid
Great video Andy. For most camps I use a Helinox sunrest. On our week long trips I bring a Coleman outpost elite. It is a heavy tank of a chair, but if you are close to a vehicle it is nice to have on a Longer trip. It has a decent side table that’s good for prepping a beverage if the other camp tables are in use. Keep up the great work!
I like to sleep in a hammock since there are lots of trees here. When I'm going light I take a hammock chair I made to fit me. Far more comfortable when you put a stick or paddle through the end nearer your feet. I also have a couple cheap ones like you showed that stretch the 4 corners on a frame, and a taller one of those with optional foot rest attachment for car camping.
Thanks Andy for the quick review of some of the many camping chairs available. I really enjoyed the footrest one and wish that it would fit on my camping chair. A suggestion for your next “Glamping video” set up the all and show your reaction to doing your various camping activities. Have a great day!
THANKS for posting a splendid and informative video on camp chairs! I don't mind longer videos because I am information-oriented. PLUS, your approach is entertaining.
Great video. It would have been really interesting to see what difference the chair groundsheet makes to the sinking in the ground issue. Have you seen that someone took one of the cheap chairs and replaced the poles with carbon fibre tube making it really light.
So over the years I have been through many camp chairs some of which you have shown similar versions of in this video. It also adds up to quite a bit of money spent too. So, in terms of the main things you want in a camp chair, the feet , the back support, the height, stability I have one down a different route. Why reinvent the wheel, I just watched people outdoors sitting for long periods fishing and bought a fishing chair. It ticks a the boxes and is bomb proof. There are many versions to suit all tastes. But generally they are the I have come across and will last many many years. Granted not all are light weight enough to take on a hike, but car camping it’s a no brainier.
Moon Lence makes an idenitical chair to the OneTigris Tigerblade, has he exact same frame mechanism, just a different fabric/mesh seat (mesh back and sides with fabric seat mes, and more fabric up towards your arms). It'sa little cheaper than the Onetigris as well. So far the mechanism appears to be holding up well, but I haven't used it terribly much yet. I got it to keep in my car in case of 'emergencies' or if I go somewhere there's no available seating options..
Those ultralight camp chairs are amazing! Went to a festival this year and took one along, you're allowed to take them inside. So light, you don't even notice you're carrying one. And absolute lifesavers after 3 days of festival haha
Great video with an impressive selection of chairs. I’m sure others will chip in with their own favourites. I have narrowed mine down to the Kilos chair which has both arms a foot rest and a high back for our glamping and for days out walking I carry a Helinox chair zero which is stupidly expensive but at 500 grams ( plus the sand mat which is essential in my opinion) is almost the lightest out there. Also a available for the Helinox is an insulated seat cover which is great for the cooler months.
Fantastic camping chair review Andy 👍👍. Luv the onetigres models, tho that swivel chair is unique 🙂. Owned quite a few Coleman chairs in Canada, even one's with leg rests & over head canapes.
Great video, Andy! I've got both of those OneTigris ones, the high back one is a game changer, however I highly recommend you look at the Berghaus Freeform comfort chair if you're looking for a "glamping chair", you won't find a more solid and comfy camp chair anywhere! :D
someone else's idea in winter line your chair with one of those foil/foam combination windscreen protectors act as a windblown from behind and reflect body heat back keep your bum warm
I thought the Onetigris chairs with the hinge arrangement that you click open were made for folk who had difficulty with slotting the fabric tops on to the frame rods. In the standard design, the fourth slot often requires a bit of muscle to slot in place. In the hinged design, you can slot all four corners in their places first, then click open the hinge. It should be less awkward and require less muscle. Am I making sense? Anyway, I love the channel!
I bought a director style chair last week. It's made for a heavier set person. Very sturdy large. I don't remember the brand on it. It is very heavy though. Don't plan on carrying it anywhere
Nah then, ey up me duck. Very informative fella and yes, I could tell it was unscripted as it was much more natural making it more enjoyable to watch 👍🙂
I have one of those hammock chairs(the chair, not the hammock), and I absolutely love it! I take it whenever I can feasibly do so(not camping, tho). Mine is the Rio Gear. It goes onto the frame much better than the one in this video. Highly recommend!
A video all about sitting down, thanks for the review and making it entertaining! I'm yet to find a chair that fits just right, I use a cheap ultralight one for going to the races (cars) but they're a challenge for me to get out of, same goes for the most comfortable moon chair I use for car camping😅.
I currently use the trekology chair with the beachmat or sandcover attachment. Totally stops your legs sinking into soft surfaces. Kinda surprised noone's mentioned tbf..
Just the vid I was waiting for - the part of my wild-camp hiking kit that is missing. Just ordered two ultralights from AliE at £15 ea. Pity the hammock chair is not to be found anywhere - it looks great!
Hi Andy, the only thing I would say is that the Tigris chairs could have the seat put on before locking the frame into place. I don’t have the instructions, so I may be wrong. Cheers 🍻
I'm an ultralighter. My goto is the Chair Zero. It's an amazing piece of work. Expensive, but if the weight matters it's hard to find better that gives the same comfort.
the onetiris, you attach the seat before locking the center strut. it is made to get the seat on easier. prefer those with a high back so you can lean your head against something. the hammock kind of chair, is it a copy of NEMO's stargazer, check if there are two bars to be put on the back so you can raise the headrest. then you can change the straps so you can adjust the inclination of the backrest to an almost lying position
My camping is yard camping... so I like the Zero Gravity recliners that just fold sort of flat... I have been sleeping in one in my library and napping in one in the yard... it might replace a cot.
I just bought the rock cloud xl lightweight mesh chairs in the Amazon day deals, the extra room is so good, I fell asleep in it yesterday, which I never usually do when camping. 😂
9:21 looks like a kiddie chair 14:03 you have a gf!? Excuse me?! Well, can't blame you. You're quite a catch tbh. To the gf, we've been watching Andy for 6+yrs. You better be good to him!
i appreciate this video. not many have done this. i shall know which chair i want whne i next go out. You need to do a ideo for good camping for car camp
I’ve got the Helinox Chair Zero and the Thermarest chair that I slip my Xtherm into and they’re both top notch, the zero is for summer as your butt gets cold in winter and the Therm is the mutts nuts in winter.
I would say currently the chaired branded as elite rover are the best. They are £40 under a kg. Have none sink feet , a really nice bag but most important there's no plastic all the fittings are metal.
Purchase 4 tennis balls or racket balls, make a small slit in them just big enough to accept the chair legs. This will keep you from sinking in the mud.
You didn't do the new One Tigres chairs justice. You put the seat on the frame BEFORE you expand it. Makes it MUCH easier. Also on the smaller chair, the bag doubles as a ground support. Thanks for the reviews!
Hello kent I always watch you on the TV majority all the time. But I would like to know how is your dad doing ,hope he's well on his way back to,before accident.
Me, who uses a shopping bag to sit on when out and about watching this video as if i am ever gonna lug a camping chair around in my backpack! :D Great video though i must say, enjoyed watching it.
For chairs with feet that tend to sink in, I split a plastic pipe a bit more than wider than the a pair of feet, which make chair foot pads...for 2 pairs of legs.
I found that Bulin Directer’s Chair interesting. I searched for it. The only place the search results showed it was on AliExpress, but it says it’s no longer available. That might mean only not available in the United States. Which is sad. The search continues. Is there a web address for the Bulin company? I’d like to see some other collapsible chairs like that. I made one myself, but it’s out of wood, so not something to take camping. Maybe car camping. I just use it when walking or riding my bike around town. It fits into my everyday backpack. Which is why I was interested in that Bulin chair. I plan to make another one out of aluminum.
Have a couple of the more lightweight folding camping chairs, very cheap and surprisingly comfortable. Also have the cheap folding stool that you used a short while back. Just goes to show, you don't need to spend a fortune to be comfy

The new onetigris chairs have a feature that they are easy to put the fabric part on the frame first and then lock the frame so you don't have to stretch the fabric over the locked frame. A fabric rectangle with pockets in the corners that stretches over the feet will keep the chairs from sinking into sand or wet ground and fold to fit into the case. Another way to keep them from sinking into the ground is insert the feet into hose stretched from one corner to the other, I prefer an x pattern from corner to corner.
I've got the newest onetigris chair...and I went and bought 4 of the furniture sliders you use to slide heavy furniture around on carpet and hard floors. (They look like drink coasters)...even 4 old tennis balls cut open and put on the feet work well
Great video as always Andy. Would it be possible to tell us the weight limits on the chairs next time please. Some of us are 'big boned' lol.
Even the cheap ones start around 250 lbs I had a 15 dollar one from Walmart that could hold 350
Personally I'm a fan of the old school wood ones but those are substantially heavier
Just choose one of your favorite and google it 😂
"So this one's got a pocket as well, kind of a double pocket there. Fit your beer in there and your next beer. Yeah, not bad at all." 🍺🍺😆
Great video as always Andy.
Top tip , cut holes in tennis balls put over feet of chair to stop it sinking in the mud .
Ah yes, because four tennis-balls don't weigh anything nor takes up any space.
I have had one of the “glamping” chair variations in my car for years. I bought it at a Walmart in Ohio in 2016. I’ve beaten the daylights out of it. Rivets have popped and screws have been lost. Education and Entertainment. Thanks Andy, you never fail to make me smile❤!
Never miss any of your videos and in fact enjoy re watching them too! Love the top tips!
Thanks, Andy! Really enjoyed your take on all these seating options!

thanks Andy, just ordered one of those footrest extensions for my camp chairs, genius!
Thanks for the wide-ranging review! I went with the new One Tigris smaller version and am quite happy with it.
Great video, saves people wasting a bunch of money on junk. Thanks matey
I like the Warwick Davis hammock. 😂

Brilliant video as always. Loved the chairs.
I'm buying one of those camping chairs amazing review cheers Andy.
Always a great video! I recently saw a camping rocking chair that looked very comfy but couldn't try as it was up on a display. Ty Andy!
Great video. It would have been really interesting to see what difference the chair groundsheet makes to the sinking in the ground issue. Have you seen that someone took one of the cheap chairs and replaced the poles with carbon fibre tube making it really light.
Nice job mate. Hope you're having a great weekend.
Great review video!! Love the footrest. Thanks for bringing us along. Love both channels!!!😊😊😊
Great review. I had wondered how the various camp chairs worked.
So over the years I have been through many camp chairs some of which you have shown similar versions of in this video. It also adds up to quite a bit of money spent too. I just got a heavy duty directors chair with an attached table and pocket, looks really good, haven't tested it yet
Great review Andy, unfortunately allot of these light weight chairs are not made for the heavier person so I can't use them.
someone else's idea in winter line your chair with one of those foil/foam combination windscreen protectors act as a windblown from behind and reflect body heat back keep your bum warm
Awesome video. Thanks for showing us the options.
Always buying chairs so very useful thanks

Hi.
Great review👍
Regarding OneTigris. I think it will be easier to put on the seat before folding the frame of the chair out completely. Just a tip.
I like a full back, keep the bug bites down. Good vid. I like the last two chairs. Full and hammock

thanks good to see the current state of affairs and what you can get these days
A camping chair for everyone 😊
I've always wanted to 3d print a pivot point for my own legs or sewn tarp/seat... but new house & new kitchen to put in... 👍✌🖖🥃
Cheers Andy, some good alternatives there...ATB Chris.

Love it big guy! Love my One Tigris chair too..... KTF🙏
Great Video! ha ha! the wobbly one is so silly!
Very much enjoyed this video as I do with them all. So Andy, any favourite chairs for specific trips?? Such as Roof Tent Camps, Bike Camps etc??
Great video! Very informative!
I have had the cheep 2 for £15 chairs for years never let me down and been comfotable
I dont even go camping anymore but im now looking at camping chairs, lol! Im liking the directors style and that larger one with the pillow.
My camping is yard camping... so I like the Zero Gravity recliners that just fold sort of flat... I have been sleeping in one in my library and napping in one in the yard... it might replace a cot.

I got my first one in aldi for 15 quid and I still use it today as it is better than I expected.
Hey Andy,
Ik heb de "Helinox Kaffee chair", en daar ben ik zeer tevreden over ...
maar thxs voor het meenemen ..
grtz. Janneman !
9:21 looks like a kiddie chair
14:03 you have a gf!? Excuse me?! Well, can't blame you. You're quite a catch tbh. To the gf, we've been watching Andy for 6+yrs. You better be good to him!

Give a look at Kermit chairs. Made in Nashville TN. USA. Several models. Very comfortable
YES! Thank you so so much for doing this video, I have been waiting for it ever since you said you would do one
For what it's worth, my favorite chairs are the Kermit and for car camp, the Jet Tent Pilot chair.
Awesome and outstanding as always
This was such a fun video!! Thank you!!
Amazing. Love your videos. Thanks. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I have an Ozark trail with the cooler. They are very decent. But I break about one a year, For 25$ though I get my money's worth. Thanks Andy!
I would say currently the chaired branded as elite rover are the best.
They are £40 under a kg. Have none sink feet , a really nice bag but most important there's no plastic all the fittings are metal.
Have a similar hammock chair. Made by onewind. You should check it out . Has a third use you will find interesting. Great video Andy's.
I've been looking into the mission mountain chair since I first saw you using it
Purchase 4 tennis balls or racket balls, make a small slit in them just big enough to accept the chair legs. This will keep you from sinking in the mud.
You didn't do the new One Tigres chairs justice. You put the seat on the frame BEFORE you expand it. Makes it MUCH easier. Also on the smaller chair, the bag doubles as a ground support. Thanks for the reviews!
Nice video thanx Andy, keep them coming mate... 8-)
Hello kent
I always watch you on the TV majority all the time. But I would like to know how is your dad doing ,hope he's well on his way back to,before accident.
Great video Andy, but the links would be fantastic, cheers in advance
The sit pad one would be fantastic at outdoor sporting events (where you sit on bleachers) as most places don’t allow metal framed seats.
the Trekology ultralight chair has a separate square piece that the legs slot into, to prevent sinking into sand, soil etc.
Me, who uses a shopping bag to sit on when out and about watching this video as if i am ever gonna lug a camping chair around in my backpack! :D
Great video though i must say, enjoyed watching it.
YAY! HI Andy!
For chairs with feet that tend to sink in, I split a plastic pipe a bit more than wider than the a pair of feet, which make chair foot pads...for 2 pairs of legs.
Sittin pretty😂🤘🏻..very informative Andy!
I spent £12 on a cheap folding chair... it's just your basic ultralight, with shock chord and the fabric that fits over the frame.. it was the lightest for the price.. two yrs later it is still going strong.. you see it in most of my videos...Take care out there.
New to the channel, really enjoyed it. Liked & subscribed.
Thanks for charing.
I think you forgot the links. And this will be very useful information if you get time to add it. Thanks for the video!
Yes indeed. Also the larger one has a square frame so you can use it without the feet, making it lower which could be useful.
I've got the newest onetigris chair...and I went and bought 4 of the furniture sliders you use to slide heavy furniture around on carpet and hard floors. (They look like drink coasters)...even 4 old tennis balls cut open and put on the feet work well
The high back chair?
@@anonymous4201 no the regular back one...and it's my favorite outdoor chair!...would like to try the highback though 😁
