Best way to eat kielbasa and kraut onions and taters.👍💗nice job, in my 80’s and only way to be efficient in kitchen, one pot or fry pan. Really nice. Job youngster!
Thank you Barb. Hugs
I'm in my 70's, this was a monthly meal for a family of 8 (with hot dogs)! I am making this dish coming weekend for my neighbors and hoping they will enjoy it. My Mom and all of us girls used two skillets when preparing this meal, but I like your one skillet method. That's what I'm using this weekend. I have never preboiled fried potatoes before so this will be something new for me. Thank you for this video!!
that's one way of doing it...I just fry the potatoes and onions for a bit, add the kielbasa, fry for a bit and then add the rinsed , drained sauer kraut, salt and pepper and low fry for 15 minutes or so...sometimes I will add Swiss cheese at the end..and let it melt and this meal is so good..all in one pan..
I do the same. First fry potatoes and onions
If you fry the meat first, then you get all the meat juice in the veggies (onions and Potatoes) puts that flavor in there. Thanks for the comment!
@@thehungryhun9520 ahh yes, never thought of that, thanks!!...next time will try your method..I love Swiss cheese on top, do you ever top it with cheese in the end
@@glenysthomson5955 Do you boil the potatoes before frying, Glenys?
I'm doing yours
I love to see someone eat and enjoy there food. It makes me so happy 😊
I am actually making this today. I have always love Sauerkraut and Sausage and have it at least once a month. The fact that you make your own Sauerkraut is why I subscribed to your channel.
Sounds great!
I love Sauerkraut and Kielbasa
Truly comforting food
Yes! Good stuff
Amazing a man that knows how to cook without adding tons of salt.
Thanks for watching
Looks great and I'm starving right now...
Simple: fun: luv it
I just watched your video and decided I'll make this today. 😊 Thank you!
I've never cooked this but it sounds good.
Just followed this and came out great. Only difference is that I added some garlic at the outset to the pan. You can never get too much garlic!
Great! No such thing as to much Garlic!
OH!!! YUM!!!!!
We like , thumbs up
Yummy!!
So good!
Looks delicious. Ty!!
Hope you enjoy
Food for the soul
A very good meal !!! I love that and haven't had it in a while, but after watching this it isn't going to be long before I do.
Thanks for the comment
Thank you brother, food like this is what brings true happiness.

That looks delicious!!
It was!
I love these ingredients, never tried them together but I will. Thanks!!

That looks fantastic, I usually make it fried with onions and peppers sauted, served over rice.
Sounds great!
Late to the party, so sorry! German here. 100% have done this and it's delectable. ❤❤

It really is!

Nice❤
ok brother... you have the makings a of a chef... seriouslu... keep up the great work!!
Need to trythisdish
Dude, I am making this tomorrow, thank you!
Hope you enjoy
Love this. Only difference I would do is to roast the potatoes to get them nice and crispy.
Nicely cut to the chase👍🏽
I followed your recipe and I am a happy, well fed, guy. The only sub was I used russet potatoes because that’s what I had on hand.
😂😂😂❤❤❤ Yummy 😊
I made this, OMG. I just WISH my German partner was still alive, it would have knocked his socks off! Best comfort food you can cook.
I gotta make this, I have a five gallon crock with sauerkraut made from my home grown cabbage. Now that it's winter and snowy it'll bring me back to better days. Thanks.m
Hope you enjoy
You are a special kinda guy. You made the saurkraut, you exhibit some knife skill, you can keep it simple, you advise rinsing the kraut. ... I think you are like the LONG KISS GOODNIGHT character, a secret Ninja-type.
Like your style -- will do this, have sausage n kraut in fridge ---- cpl roots and all set.
Been using a crockpot to make this, but I think I'll try stove top next time; certainly looks like it takes considerably less time to make. Thanks for sharing.
I make what my Mom called Kapuchnik.
Use 2 links of Kielbasa & 1 Cabbage & 1 Onion & a big can of whole tomatoes . Mix together in a big pot & let boil then simmer for a couple of hours . Tender & Juicy !😀
Sounds great! and love the name Kapuchnik!
Now I know what to do with my kraut. Thanks .
I think I would try cabbage instead of the saur kraut - maybe a whole head of cabbage chopped up.
hey John check out this other video over here-----> ruclips.net/video/kVug54WHzfU/видео.html
A tomato/cucumber salad on the side and.......voila!
Agreed. The Persian salad consists of even amount of Persian Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Diced onions then you sprinkle dried mint, salt, pepper and a little olive oil and your favorite vinegar.
Very good
Thanks
The food looks delicious and you are cute😂❤🎉
The way I do it is:
A big kettle, (soften potatoes first) about half a bag of peeled, cut (chucked) potatoes, once softened, toss in cans of Kraut (juice and all) stick of butter, about 4 or so cut onions, a lot of Black pepper toss in a few uncut ring baloney's cover and cook.
When done, put kraut on plate cut ring baloney in half set on plate with some ketchup on the side cut baloney up dunk into the ketchup and have some of the kraut. Also, with some bread and butter or toast with butter or garlic toast and Milk to drink.
Like this video. New sub
Real good a try thiskielbasa saugage potatoes a sauerkrat a rye bread a mustard is goodss I liked as a kid a I like a cornbeef a cabbage a potatoes on st.patricks
Never thought to add potatoes I will also add bacon to it my husband will Love this thank you!
Bacon, excellent idea!
Bacons better for greens like collards and kale not sauerkraut . but let me know how it turns out. i am wrong from time to time!
I add lots of onions and garlic on my sawerkraut !
"that's how old people cook"😆
cooked Pearl Barley and Caraway seeds works well in that dish.
Thanks for the tip!

Old ways are good even today
IAlways pour a good chicken stock gravy before serving and have it with a chicken leg for the protein yummy Christmas Dinner food
Large cube & fry potatoes until half done. Rinse, drain & put on top of potatoes, add thinly sliced onions on top of kraut. Cut sausage into large rounds or smaller hunks place on top of onions. Place lid on pan & simmer slowly for a while. Toward the end, I add 1-2 cans of drained green beans. Replace lid & continue steaming until flavors have mingled, everything is hot & done to taste. Seasonings I generally add with potatoes( watch the salt or no salt). I like the taste of green beans with this. You can use canned, fresh or frozen. The beans add color, they balance the starch & add an extra flavor.
Green Beans Too? wow. Thanks for watching!
I like doing the ring as is (do not cut) put it in with kraut with the juice and chopped up onion and taters and kielbasa or ring bologna in with it and a stick of butter cover and cook that. Stir here and there.
Take the ring out cut it into pieces and use a fork to poke with and dunk it into ketchup and down the hatch while eating the kraut with the onions and taters Milk as a chaser.
Always taste the sauerkraut to gauge the taste German is often ready to serve
Try I grew up on it in the 50 a 60s
Looks good to me. Although there is not no where enough black pepper.
I make it once a month at least...
Good concept but personally I'd start the potatoes 1st.
He cooked kielbasi too much, they were cut thin. I add potatoes first, kielbasi and saurkraut with butter added. I make this all the time. Kielbasi today is mixed with chicken, doesn't taste like years ago,
Man Cooking
We will never starve to death as long as we have Man Cooking. haha
Wy cut the ends of the potatoes and throw away? Was not something wrong whit them. Dinner looked so tasty thoe.
Any reason why you rinse the sauerkraut? I take care of my grandmother, and shes been craving this. So im going to give it a shot.
Rinsing the kraut removes some of the salt and sour. makes it plateable.
@@thehungryhun9520 thanks, she liked it 🙏
next stop is to try and make Czernina, lol
@@mamaharumi lol! no.
Can it be any kind of pototeo.
You can use any potato or potato like substance 🤣
2:53
Add smoked paprika
..."LOL!"...
your technique is great, but possibly two mistakes # 1 ,using commercially produced prepackaged kielbasa #2 especially if it has chicken in it. You need to find a good polish market.
Is a shame I don’t eat sauerkraut 😩
Try Cabbage instead -----------> ruclips.net/video/kVug54WHzfU/видео.html LOL
Don't rinse away the goodness!
Mo onions and paprika
That looks so good,I would add some jalapenos though.
Agreed...PanfryinG some Jalapenos would giVe thiS diSh plenty of attitude...pluS add a lil Paprika etc would brinG up the flaVoR eXcitement on thiS dish!👍😃🌹🥔🌶🥔🌹
Dried Chili's bro -------> look what i add to this dish-------> ruclips.net/video/kVug54WHzfU/видео.html
jalapenos work though
It would be lovely if there was the ingredients and everything listed so it can be printed and tried. Oh well, another one bites the dust. No one wants to carry around the phone ,laptop, or tablet to the kitchen and pause And start constantly

Complete watch👍 Liked (I just had to watch it again.)
Can you come live at my house? You are delightful!!!!!
There are many ways to cook VARIOUS sausages grilled, baked, blanch, pan fried, many different ways. Usually what I like to do, is cross score them, grill them until they open up, and serve them with red cabbage, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, maybe a salad and some DIJON MUSTARD,like the EUROPEANS do.,and I LOVE MY SAUSAGE, ALL KINDS, as I work in a COMMERCIAL KITCHEN for many years, making all kinds of different foods or CUISINE, especially in NYC, I even know how to make SAUSAGE, from regular to veterinarian to seafood, you just have to understand that general rules, plus the casing. Not hard.
More onion and some garlic
I had to keep skipping ahead past cutting - we just want to see the end result - we know how to cut stuff.
I'll play with the editing and see what i can do should be a fun challenge thanks for the criticism.
I thought you said you were old
Hey man, threw away best part of the taters!
Use your fingers don't be afraid 🙌👏👏🤟
your love this video johnny ruclips.net/video/kVug54WHzfU/видео.html
M
Never add salt to water until it comes to a boil, you will ruin your cookware...
Thanks for Watching!
Kapusta is So you have easy poop next morning.
If you wash the taters, you remove the minerals that are in the dirt! Ain't cha gotz no learnin'!!
🤣🤣
@@thehungryhun9520 adds Fibre and ruffage too.
He absolutely needs to wash the spuds as they haVe harmful bacteria etc on them!👍But, I totally appreciated that he kept the skin on the spuds as he cut them as that iS where all of the Vitamins and Minerals come from!✌
No recipe no help No can't subscribe with out recipes
Wow. Watch a guy poorly cook with no instructions. You like you dude. Like the women of your past, "Whatta waste of six minutes."🙄
Looks good ...c less cutting and maybe less banging ingredients on counter ..and ...keep up the good work
Thanks for the tip
