Awesome marra. I love Sunderland even though I've lived in Durham now for 20 year's. When i was a kid Sunderland really was rundown and depressing, the Centre that is. Been all-over the Country and Sunderland is cleaner than 90% of most Cities but the centre is boring, not going to lie. Not much to do. In Durham it's even worse. Beautiful place but it's all for the students, local people don't matter and it's even more boring than Sunderland. Nether are depressing just boring 🤣 loved the London video mate. Very eye opening. You should try Coventry marra 😂 They don't like makems so only joking. Great work marra 👌 nearly every Cities kids are turning nasty. Societies fault not the places

When I started the video, I was expecting to get more depressed as I walked on, but actually, without the people about, the city was an absolute pleasure to be in haha
Nah, it's just a lack of "stuff" to do for different types of people after 5pm, and those kids are certainly a bit nasty these days, but again, I was surprised that they were happily preoccupied on that tiktok live thing in the high street, was good to see them having a laugh.
I used to love Durham, but never spent much time there on a night other than the rare stag do or whatnot, sad to hear that it's not the most exciting place either.
And of I'm ever down that way, I'll do a video about Coventry, I'll call it "sent to Coventry - a punishment 4K" 😂
Many thanks for the message mate, means a lot, glad you enjoyed my videos, all the very best

Also, I've done a few of Japan (2018 like and I was clueless with a camera) and Poland a few times (also a bit clueless with what to show ha) but I'm grateful for any advice and support, I'd love to show places that people want to see.

Another great video mate. Lived in Sunderland most of my life & compared to other towns/cities in England it’s heaven. True, there’s not much to do but you are generally safe living here. Just needs a bit more ambition from the council and it could be great 👍🏻

      Very true mate,
keel square in the summer will be awesome, see what happens with the M&S building, a new cinema, a couple more concerts, it really is a lovely place most times.
I had a wander to Bishop Auckland a while ago and I've been traumatised since, and looked at our city a lot differently after that.
I'll continue trying to show it in a more positive light and hopefully persuade a few tourists to pop up and add to the GDP so we can get another Rileys or something built 😀
      Here's to Sunderland's bright future 🍻

fantastic videos thank you, youre showing me parts of sunderland i havent had to time to stop and see yet. we lived in Sunderland in the late 80s in Silksworth, our mum and dad were in the pub trade. been madly in love with Northumberland for a long time, but over the past few few years been getting to know the coast at roker and seaburn and seaham and also love it there. we visited ay Christmas and couldnt believe how massive the bridges is now compared to when we lived there. we actually want to move back up there, i can see sunderland is changing and it deserves to vhange for the better.

Ahhh Silky, I walk up there a lot, mainly because there's a sainsburys, I would do some videos, but it's too far away from town and only the ski slope is good viewing for the youtube crowd ha
Yes, our beaches are some of the best in England I'd say, really beautiful and a worthwhile place to visit, I'll definitely pop over and video it as there's hotels and venues aplenty now.
I hope you get yourselves back up here, it's just about to start feeling like a proper city again very soon, it just needs all the positive energy and loyal residents back in time for summer '24
Many, many thanks for your kind words by the way, glad my video reached you and was good to watch.

Great video. It will be interesting to see how everything looks in another 5 years when all this development is more or less done. The revival on the seafront at both Seaburn and Roker is incredible, you just have to look at the old photos.
There seems to be a lot of independent venues popping up, which is Great . The area around the Firestation and Empire is just also fantastic.

No worries man. Yeah, there does seemed to be a renewed sense of community. Hopefully the plans for the film studio get approved, which would really act as an economical catalyst. There's many post industrial cities /towns around the country which never really recovered; so I'm glad Sunderland is getting back on it's feet as i feel like it has a lot of potential to be a really good city, with the proximity to the sea and countryside etc.
