Due to my recent misfire, my 350Z's cats got blocked up. As a result I had to replace them, and the most price-effective way (by a long shot) was going for some Japspeed sports cats. So this new by-product of the car's problems is more volume than ever before!

Unlike most other youtubers when given the chance, they end up deleting the cats altogether and then releasing a video saying it sounds like a zonda or something ridiculous like a zonda... Glad you went about it sensibly and fitted sports cats. Sounds great 👍

Wise decision on the cats, yes its sounds more aggressive and since you tweek the exhaust the hp would increase, you are enjoying the car all over again lol...looking for the vid through tunnels

I put a custom X pipe exhaust on my V8 Audi S5, deleted the resonators and rear silencers, it sounded epic, slightly droney around town but it sounded like a supercar when giving it a bit of stick.
Of all the VQ'S I've ever heard in my life, this is definitely one of them

Love it! I just had mine done Wednesday, torqen high flow cats, cobra y pipe and powerflow back end, sounds identical 👌 and my camera does not do the sound difference justice
No better feeling than having a new exhaust system I don’t think! Getting the job wrapped up and that first drive is something we all can get behind!

The VQ sounds awful when it's been straight piped but you had a nice exhaust on it and you've made it still legal but it's not obnoxious and the same tone is just amplified, dude this sounds bloody mint!!!!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

I had exactly the same problem with my 350Z roof. Replacing the 5th bow motor fixed it. It sits under the plastic cover in front of the rear glass on the interior.
New injectors, new plugs, new cats, yeah, should feel a load better. Sounds sweet. Here's a vote for a tunnel run. 🖐️

I remember somewhere in Liverpool I was driving my car down to Birkenhead through one continuous maybe 2mile tunnel. Recommend to head there Adam if you want to hear your car exhaust true sound 😄👍

For the tunnel location: If you’re in Kent, Samphire Ho has the most awesome uphill tunnel. Sounds absolutely insane!
Agreed! Blasted up that hill many, many times. From Clio’s to Astra’s to Subaru’s. The noise is deafening. Then you’ve got the Roundhill Tunnel not 5 minutes after that.

I’ve got the japspeed cats on my Z. It really does increase the loudness considerably. The first day my work colleague got in the car after they were fitted he was horrified. His actual words were “this is fu**ing abnoxious” lol! I love the sound personally but you definitely have to be considerate in residential areas!

I don’t care what other people think. If you own a nice car people should hear it coming. Don’t like it? So what, it’s a few seconds of noise which means nothing. It means a lot more to the person enjoying driving it or the car fans who enjoy spotting one.

It can, i did a similar exhaust to my 350, the found out as it was being done it had been fully de catted, sounds like a jet engine to the point i derent drive it, having a 20 inch mid muffler on it this weekend and ordering some sport cats to try and tame it

Great sounding V6 engins still have mine plans for next summer it's been a great weekender car though still of the thought unless something goes wrong I won't touch it 🤔
As you already have custom exhaust and now sport cats, add plenum spacer and map it at Horsham developments that would increase HP and especially feel in mid range and would massively increase pop and they also can do pop and bang tune if needed

You should get electronic exhaust cutouts so you can just flip a switch and quiet the exhaust
It's loud but it sounds dam good! you'll have to push it down the road in the morning before you start it so you don't peev off your neighbours

I love the sound of a VQ within reason. The super loud ones are kind of meh, because it's TOO much, but a proper exhaust on a VQ is dope.
