Two things I learn from these skills test is 1. In a real world situation you don't lose points if you get out and look as many time you want too, so be safe than sorry. 2. Skills takes time to develop. Good luck getting your CDL and drive safe.
Update: i got it rescheduled for July 28th I passed my inspection but I did some honest mistakes on my skills so I failed it unfortunately but it’s okay I have my 2nd test on august 15th I’m gonna go to the school and practice a bit more before my 2nd test
Thank you for this! I test this Friday and I haven’t been able to practice the new skills yet and this was a huge relief to see it being done. Doesn’t look too bad but definitely will see when I go to my refresher this week
Very good information. On the reverse offset,if the student backs over the rear ( three feet line) it’s an encroachment- 2 points. The tester blows the whistle and the driver will move forward. We had this problem in Maryland until the DMV contacted the tester. Rules are very clear in the tester handbook. Are you a tester. Sure sounds like you are. Third party tester. Going to add to my playlist
@@genefeng I’m currently attending courage trucking school in San Bernardino, I got a copy of the check list for pre trip, I would appreciate if u do a video on it thank you
@genefeng thank you. Will help so much. I wish I was on her email list to go that day. Would of helped answer questions. But we go to many different DMV's. Thanks again for sharing.
You can go to Lancaster CDL DMV or your own trucking school for clarification. Majority of CDL DMV already begin on July 10, 2023. Some will start in August.
@@Jimmy-zt4ln I passed the skills and walk around and air brake test and in cab but not the driving part but I know I drove ok the guy was not happy maybe I’ll try el centro

when doing the forward off set, if you have back dual-tires; do you need both tires in between the 4-foot mark or only one?

hahaha! No sir! I am not a tester. I am an instructor out of California. =).
@@genefeng you would be a good DMV third party examiner for your CDL School.

Any info on the pre trip??
Also does the Incab/brake test stay the same
You need to memorize the entire truck. However, less items. In cap and airbrake test stays the same. Which school are you with?

Thanks for the information! I'm going to either of them very soon, do you know which tester is better, Gardena or fontana? 😅
Each location has their benefit, and all depends on who is your examiner! For sure Fontana's road is wider!
What’s about parts in the pretrip inspections? Did they removed or add any?

Do you think the exterior inspection will be easier with the new update?
Yes, suppose to be easier.
I attend Nixxon at the LA location and they arent aware of the changes.
Carlos knows. 😊. I saw him at the dmv! 😊
On the way back do I have to drive through the 4 feet space with my wheels or can I be outside
when you are doing the 4th test, you do not need to cross 4 feet again. Remember, all sides are consider as wall. Good luck!

Can you do a video of in cab inspection with a automatic in English please
Yes. I am working on it. =)

That's good. Too many of us were not trained properly. By the time this test is over the truck and the driver will be worn out.
When is your test?
Is all states doing this?
Most likely not all.
Where can i get the material you showed in the video.
you are welcome to email me and we can talk. genefeng2005@gmail.com

So no more alley docking or parallel parking ? I will go to school in Pa
Check with your school, and follow their method.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the pre-trip checklist?

Who are all those people? It's always like that?
These people are from DMV examiners and local truck training schools. Regarding to new rules for California DMV Class A and Class B.
The reverse offset is a parallel.
Yes. However, DMV uses Reverse Offset Backing.
