If you are looking for amazing projects based on the Honda CX, you must watch this video.
On this episode, you will see the Honda CX 500 by Justin Holmes, owner of PopBang Classics, located in Australia’s Gold Coast.
And you can see also a Honda GL 400(Which is very similar to the CX 500) by Mr. Nihira, owner of Wedge Motorcycle, located in Japan.
2 remarkable transformations, considering the difficulties of changing any original Honda CX, or even the Honda GL.

Two very nice bikes presented today! The CX 500 is the perfect example of the ugly duckling growing up to be a beautiful swan! A very good transformation by these two builders. And, as always, RacerTV is the only choice for quality Café presentations! Thank you my friend.

The first bike was good, but the second one was even better. I particularly liked the exhaust design, and the tank/seat frame balance was excellent. I think a drum ream and drilled front would be the icing on the cake, aesthetically speaking.

É a velha situação: Apesar de reconhecer que a japonesa é mais arrojada, cara e, porque não, mais bonita.. por algum motivo prefiro a australiana. Só não dou nota máxima à CX 500 pela minha teimosia em não curtir rodas e pneus enormes na dianteira.. aliás, eu gostaria realmente de ver esse projeto com rodas 17 à frente e atrás.. só para comparar. No mais, ela é realmente o que você disse: "muito próxima da perfeição.."
E antes que eu me esqueça, reafirmando um antigo comentário meu: Que bela moto você adquiriu.. ela já é linda e imponente do jeito que está!!! É paixão antiga rs.. Abraço, meu caro.
Muito obrigado amigo por partilhar a sua opinião. Confesso que também gostaria de ver a primeira CX do video com rodas de 17 polegadas. Mas não sei se perderia um pouco a ilusão do comprimento aparentemente longo da moto. Em relação à minha CX, para ser honesto o estilo dela não me diz nada. Talvez porque nunca foi uma paixão antiga como no seu caso. Lol. :) Um abraço.

looking at the position of the pipes on the second build, that bike is perfect for a scrambler model. just add a 19" front wheel and high bars, maybe some rugged shocks. Then you have a beautiful and highy functional motorcycle that can go more places than your usual cafe racer but with just as much style and timeless beauty. And with similar on road performance to boot. (and more comfort)

Permita-me sugerir que você nos dê de presente um relato acurado de como chegou ao seu projeto final, como e porque escolheu os detalhes. Tenho certeza de que você saberá condensar muitas informações em vídeos belissimos que, certamente, vão auxiliar quem está iniciando no mundo das customizações.
Quanto às motos de hoje , a australiana, sem dúvida, é a que mais me agrada: clássica, com um visual irrepreensível. Uma bela e típica Cafe Racer!

Obrigado amigo pela sugestão. Sinceramente, à bastante tempo que já tinha pensado em fazer o que sugeriu. Actualmente, tenho cerca de 50 fotos em Photoshop com a evolução do meu projecto, e ainda falta corrigir pequenos detalhes. Embora não possa mostrar a imagem final do meu projecto para não estragar o efeito surpresa, posso dizer que está muito perto da perfeição, mesmo sendo diferente destes dois projecto apresentados hoje. :) Um abraço.

Can you please give me a bit more information about his mounting process of the rear wheel hub in the spoked wheel ?
It is my desire to incorporate a spoked classic wheel into my CX500 design !

Tenho Certeza que sua CX 500 ficara belíssima, pois não faltam criatividade, bom gosto e inspiração em cada vídeo postado, sendo assim é só uma questão de colocar os mesmos elementos em cima de sua criação..... Ficara tão linda ou mais que as duas apresentadas, que são realmente muito belas, difícil escolher entre as duas pois cada uma tem o seu charme absoluto...........:-)

Valeu Racer! Dois lindos trabalhos de origem ou de influência japonesa. A delicadeza das motos japonesas com suas linhas esguias, estreitas, escapes retilíneos e rodas grandes me fascinam.

Obrigado amigo. Fico contente que tenha gostado. Sim, há quem diga que a CX 500 é a Moto Guzzi dos pobres. Na minha opinião a Cx 500 é uma espécie de versão melhorada da Guzzi, já que a Honda melhorou tudo o que havia para melhorar, tal como a refrigeração a água, 4 válvulas por cilindro, e ignição electrónica, uma das primeiras motos do mundo com esta característica. No entanto, acho que a CX 500 é um motor relativamente "preso", e que foi desenvolvido para ser fiável. Mas no motor da CX 650, tudo é mais solto, notando-se bem no roncar da moto, com muita força nas rotações mais baixas, e também nos 65 cavalos(mais 15 cavalos do que na CX 500). Um abraço.

But that's the case for cafe racers in general, not just street fighters. What give this bike in particular the "street fighter twist"?
cafe racers have you leaning forward but the stance is fairly level. The street fighter stance is is even more forward, the rake (tilt) is more aggressive, hence street fighter name.

What is the different between cx500 And gl400
I like your videos but could you feature other makes? The majority are Honda Cafe's here. Nothing wrong with them but some of us have other brands and deserve a little recognition.
