2021-08-05 Chain Lakes Loop Trail at Mount Baker

- Since it had been 5-6yr since I last hiked this wonderful trail, I decided to hike it again. It was as exciting as I remembered! All 6 of the 'chain of' lakes has its own personality. And the spectacular views of surrounding peaks constantly change as you navigate the 360 degree loop. Highly recommended!

I honestly don’t know. I stop up to 30x per mile for video clips and like to spend 1-2 hours sitting enjoying the best views. ‘All day’ is my best answer…

I think you need a permit to overnight - I have seen tents at the lakes
Where do I pay for parking? Do you pay at the trailhead parking lot?
I think there is a pay station at heather meadows. Also a USFS visitor center in Glacier, Wa, last town before the trailhead.
