  • This was a 12 mile day hike that consisted of the Chain Lakes Loop and an out-and-back section along the Ptarmigan Ridge Trail. The hike started and ended at the Heather Meadows Visitor Center. This hike provides views of the photogenic Mt Shuksan and grand Mt Baker. The glaciers on both can be seen from my telephoto lens.

As someone who also produces the same type of content, your work is excellent. Great job. I look forward to watching the rest of your videos.

Truly an epic and beautiful hiking video. The last 90 seconds with the musical and visual climax / recap is amazing.

Wow! I've just discovered your RUclips videos, via the Washington Trails trip reports website. This one and the one for Cutthroat Pass are works of art. Solo hiking is the kind I've always liked best, especially solo backpacking, which I used to do a lot of when I was your age. Now at 86 I don't do as much as I would like.

Thanks #Backcountry Renegade. Thanks, I actually came across your channel recently when I watched one of your ONP videos. Great stuff, you and I did a section of the same trail. It looks like you hit a few weeks earlier than me as I noticed more snow in your video. Hopefully we cross paths on the trail. Definitely check out the Mt Baker area.
