And Virtus/Slavia is now rated 5 stars( in Both adult passenger and child safety )in latest, more stricter GNCAP ratings ! Only car in India after VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq ! Out of so many cars being produced in India, VW/Skoda occupying the Top 4 positions ! Incredible Safety and Built Performance ! Tata & Mahindra also doing good ! These brands should get max love and sales ! And brands like Hyundai and Maruti should start focussing on safety and built quality of their cars if they want to sustain in the long run.

In not sure this is a win overall.
    Looks really great imo.
No wireless Android auto/ Apple carplay
100% sure safety rating will be lower than VW group cars.
i20 gives a avg mileage of 13 in city, this won't even give 11.
Costs the same as Virtus / slavia. Then why not buy virtus/slavia?

Boss, the interior is as dramatic as outside, you were wrong there. And it trumps all other competitors in its category (City, Virtus, Slavia and the less spoken about Ciaz). The interior is radical with the twin screens and the shiftable control button for HVAC and music. The rear seat under thigh support is class leading, sit in Verna and immediately sit in Honda to compare. The power is again class leading. Overall it simply is a mouthwatering offer including the price (currently)… you get booked and heated seats as well

  • @regenitin

Overall a great package for normal Indian buyers. ADAS is a complete waste in Indian kinda scenario but may be useful for newbies. Diesel omission is a big miss considering Hyundai is one of the very few who have a BS6 compliant diesel engines. Diesel would have generated a lot of numbers considering none (VW, Skoda, Suzuki, Honda) have BS6 compliant Diesels.

Most people will go for 1.5 Na as in past also but if you want a drivers car irrespective of what Verna Turbo numbers are saying this Car can’t match the superiority of Virtus/ Slavia 1.5 turbo. VW 1.5 turbo engine combined with excellent handling is far more superior product

The turbo AT combo will cost around 20 lakh OTR 😂 you can get a XUV 700 diesel for the same price.
As far as the majority buyer (NA Petrol engine)is concerned, Honda's 1.5 IVTEC trumps it any day.

I never would like the looks of the Verna, because it is so polorising. I would go for the Germans as their design is suttle clean and age very well, plus they have the benchmark engine of the mid size sedan - 1.5 TSi.

The styling of these new Hyundais the last few years have really become an “acquired” taste.
In their bid to be the flashiest, latest, in-thing with the young yuppie crowd, they’ve left a lot of us older car enthusiasts turning to other brands.
Which is a pity. Cause in spite of their awkward, trying to hard to be trendy looks, the complete package is very very decent with nice engines, gearboxes and comfort.
But serious people would think long and hard before they want to be seen driving these abominably styled cars

So, Virtus GT drives better. ✔️ Verna with 170mm Ground Clearance has a lot more body roll and lifeless steering than the 179mm Virtus GT with 150PS and with German Structural integrity, It's already a proven 5 Star safety car with better looks. 😴😝

    • @subhasish1chttrj
      @subhasish1chttrj Год назад +5

Totally agree with you. While the looks are subjective. There is no doubt in terms of structure and safety it wont come close to the Vw and Skoda twins and I'm pretty sure the 1.5 litre unit of the Slavia and Virtus will be faster and the Verna turbo won't be able to match them. The cylinder deactivation technology too is a very premium technology which saves quite a lot of fuel.
