- March 2023: V3Cars analyses which variant of the new 2023 Hyundai Verna makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. The Verna is now available with a 1.5-litre, normal petrol engine producing 115PS of max power and with a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.6kmpl. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT type automatic transmission. The petrol Verna is also available with ADAS tech in the SX Optional variant.
The Verna is also available with a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 160PS of maximum power and 253Nm of peak torque. This engine is also available with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The claimed fuel efficiency of this engine is more than 20kmpl.

Adas in India is quite an overrated feature for the kind of traffic we face on the roads.. for highways, it does comes handy but cmon can you afford to put your hand off the steering @100kmph

Correction needed, verna ground clearance is 170 as confirmed by hyundai.
It’s shocking that an important detail like tyre dimensions are missed and only rim size is compared. Tyre thickness and width are also varying across variants which affect driving and ride experience and is another cost cutting measure apart from non turbo engine in lower variants.

I don't think so, it'll be enough even with the rubber band effect on IVT imo. Best is to consider a test drive.
Rear disc breaks shouldn't have been limited to 1.5L Tubo SX (O) automatic! Could have given for manual lovers too

Bro I was thinking about the same. But do consider SX Turbo Manual. It mostly has the features SX Non Turbo misses out on. For the same price, you get a much better engine, better interiors, drive modes at the cost of a couple of needless features like ADAS and Ventilated Seats
But i dont need turbo. It will give less mileage. I want bose music and ventilated seats thats why i choose sxo. Sxo turbo is very costly.
I prefer function over turbo engine.
Those white seats and white interior is going to demand huge effort to keep them clean. Not sure what Hyundai was thinking. Btw what's the ground clearance?

This means u have to pay just Rs 35000 more to get ADAS and some other features like key less entry,push button start, rear view camera, wireless mobile connectivity in case of City V variant instead of S variant of Verna

@@harshareddy5728 By reducing reducing the number of control panels. They're repurposing the same set of controls for A/C and infotainment. Tell me, how is it improving usability for the driver? To reduce the A/C temperature, you now have to check whether the controls are set to A/C or infotainment, press the button to switch controls, then rotate the dial. In a conventional setup, you just have to rotate the dial. Which one is more convenient?

If u want to buy top variant verna might be to best option , others than that base and 2nd base city wins the game ( my opinon)
My daily commute is around 40km city moderate to heavy traffic( kolkata) --( 10% highway , rest city driving )self driving , since budget is the main deciding factor, stuck between SX-IVT- NA , vs SX turbo MT vs. SX turbo DCT , TD all the cars , DCT was just superb , but really want a less headache car in terms of Service & maintenance, hence skeptical about the DCT ….. please suggest what can be the appropriate choice for me , I am not an enthusiastic driver yet occasionally indulge in heavy right footing …. Hv been driving a hatchback since time immemorial 😢.. 🙏🏼 and thank you v3 for all the wonderful videos and comparisons that you post
Should go for SX or SX(O) CVT considering 90% city usage with heavy traffic. Else Hyundai's DCT is absolutely reliable and there are no maintenance issues. Even the 1.5 NA is sufficiently powered so if you even try the occasional heavy footing, it would give a good push back
Go for electric. Worth it.

I personally visited the showroom but I seriously dint like the built quality of the verna.. older versions were far better than this car with overated features. As a nation we need to demand better quality car not should never compromise on the safety and quality at end of the day its our hard earned money

Its too much brother.. Try to get the car from some other states.. Even in Mumbai we are getting SX(O) Turbo DCT variant in on road price of 20.93.. 20.38 lacs for MPI Ivt is not worth it.

V3 Cars I really think you got it a bit wrong this time. I think the SX Turbo Manual fits in wonderfully well around other imperfect variants. The SX misses out on quite a few features incl a bigger screen, drive modes, air purifier etc to get which you’ll have to upgrade to SX(O) which adds impractical features like ADAS and Heated Seats and 8 speaker sound system. SX Turbo bridges the gap and gets you everything you need without the gizmos and with a much more powerful Turbo Petrol Engine.

@@daanishmittal2640 I was confused about the same, i booked the SX Turbo, I’ll tell you why. SX Turbo already has the features SX normal misses out on. Then the difference between normal SX O and SX turbo is of niche features like ADAS, Ventilated Seats, 8 Speaker Sound System and Powered Seats. All of which aren’t really practical tbh. And in exchange of these extra features you get better alloys, better interiors, driving modes, much better performance and if you buy DCT then Rear Disc Brakes also. And also, another small difference. Even if you buy SXO you will get SX badging on the rear, but if you buy Turbo that 1.5 Turbo badging looks great. Go for SX Turbo

@@svijaymba quite a few differences actually. In SX(O) you’ll get ADAS, Electronic Parking Brake, Rear Sun Shade, Ventilated Seats and 4 disc brakes. These are the main differences. If you need these features you can go for SXO otherwise SX is also good
