Doing a barrel select at Buffalo Trace would be the ultimate day! Great video.
Eugene is the best. He was our tour guide when we visitied BT Thanksgiving week, 2023
The "hey google" triggered my Google at home!!.....hahahahaha😂
I have been on a tour with Eugene before. He is definitely great, and a gentleman!
Damn barrel proof eagle rare must be amazing.
The only thing crazier than getting your own store pick 🦅🤯
Not barrel proof. Single barrel 90 proof
Eugene was our guide 2ish years ago and he was great.
This barrel pick showed up in DC. There are eagles floating around in DC with the Bourbon Junkies stickers on them
You beat me to it. I got 2 for myself.
@@chikitochannels same!
Yea we'll have a video out Thursday
I can’t wait for this. Love some Eagle Rare. I wish I could go to Buffalo Trace for a tour. Hopefully soon.
Awesome video thank you, what a great day of it! I really love ER. Eugene is the man
That looked like a hell of an experience. On my bucket list hope I can do these tours one day before I die. Enjoy!!
Thanks for posting! doing a Blantons pick in a few months. This helps prep.
This was so awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Was just at heaven Hill I kind of like how they let us sit in the Rick house and let us use Parker whiskey robber to get some sample out of each barrel ourselves and then we sit down at a table inside the Rick House Great times must do a heaven Hill barrel pick if you had never have
A & C are OUT!
The guys are loving that BD energy!!
How much for a Barrel
I wanna know also
This is actually really interesting. Great job.
Great video fellas. Loved the shenanigans in the tasting room.
Wow. I can’t wait to see what you guys do with this one! ER is one of our regulars - 🥃
The hey Google comment was uncalled for 😂
Looks like a great time. So much thought goes into everything they do, Im surprised their tasting room isnt heated.
Their barrel houses aren't heated and their pick room is in one of their barrel houses
@@BourbonJunkies Correct; but they could throw a space heater in there. Might help a little.
Anyway, great content. Glad youre being treated well.
This is head and shoulders my favorite bourbon!
What is the process for getting this once you guys bottle it?
Cheers boys. You're living the dream.
Great fun! We did a Full Proof 1792 Barrel pick in Bardstown like this and I'm embarrassed to say I drank too much to enjoy the dinner to its fullest. Regret that.
“Did he stutter?” 😂😂
I hope to do a tour in either May or September. Some folks dis ER, but if you can get it for SRP, it’s a good buy. I get the grape soda notes on the nose and palate.
I really wish BT would release an Eagle Rare barrel proof.
Isn’t that just stag?
@@looneybazoony673 It'd be close, I guess. Eagle Rare is aged 10 years and Stagg is often aged longer -- but I think it's usually NAS. But the point is that it could be like a $70-80 version instead of $200.
Even a high proof Buffalo Trace would be good. Idk why they are so dedicated to watering it down, neither one of them holds up at 90 proof imo.
@@therinsig how old is stagg typically aged? I know there isn't an age statement on the bottle but what would your guess be?
@@kanyewest573According to BT, at least 8 years, whereas Eagle Rare is at least 10 years. Remember the age on the bottle is the minimum age (or age of youngest whiskey in the blend), not the actual age.
You guys are so lucky. I would love to go on a Barrel Pick. It's on my bucket list. I have been to BT so many times and been on each tour at least 2 times, except the Ghost Tour which I have only done once. It looks like you guys took the Hard Hat Tour, which is my favorite. I am planning on going to BT this month to try to get a Blantons..
Hey Junkies, taking my wife to BT this weekend for her birthday. Where was the dinner and do you recommend anywhere for a special dinner? I was either thinking the Stave or Bourbon on Main.
How do barrel picks of a well known label work in terms of difference per barrel? I would have thought the same mash bill and barrels would be used for Eagle Rare across the board.
Eagle Rare is my jam!!!
For a barrel pick, do they bottle the whiskey at 90 proof? I thought I heard some talk about bottling at a barrel proof?
Such a cool experience for you guys!...............Thanks for sharing. I never realized how big of an operation Buffalo Trace is.....
DRAMHOUND and ZACH!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!
Love ya @Thrashzer!
Looks like Bunch of fun
I bet that barrel proof ER is FANTASTIC!!!
It probably is, but the 90 proof stuff is a whole lot of meh.
@@bobbygetsbanned6049that’s ridiculous. It’s as delicious as the price. If you paid over msrp and are disappointed that’s just a pricing problem. In Maine $36 all day and it’s a perfectly tasty pour at that price
@@Zordy21 I didn't pay over msrp, it's just extremely meh compared to the hype. I'd rather have Four Roses single barrel for a little more money and I can get Rare Breed for $45 which makes ER look like a joke.
Dan telling the guide that he has a DSP and let’s do some barrel transfers. The guy sounding dumbfounded just “no “ Priceless “
wow looks like so much fun. keep up the great videos. cheers
That’s my favorite whiskey hands down!
Such a cool experience!
I got a handle of eagle rare store pick last year and it was a total cherry bomb. 🍒 💣.
Best distillery and always will be by a mile!
😂😂😂😂 You guys can get a whole barrel and I’ve never seen a bottle of this stuff on the shelf ever
How do I obtain a bottle? Where do I sign up?
Awesome video would be sick to do that thanks for sharing
So friggin cool. Awesome video
When and how can we buy one of these bottles?
how can someone purchase a bottle of this barrel pick?
Will this be available to purchase on patreon?
How can I purchase a bottle of that great juice?
So how was the cask strength, and why isn't a product?
I am taking the tour in May will ask for Eugene 😅
What a killer opportunity
Sooo, that barrel pick....is it going to be available for us to taste the tantalizing juice at the distillery?
Ask for the 17 year old one, pro tip :)
Buy both barrels! lol. How do I get a bottle for myself. Where do I sign up?
Was there for a tour last spring. The expansion was funded by Fireball 🤯
I just watched a video from 2 years ago where you shit all over Eagle Rare store picks lol.
It's called evolution...or growth...or capitalism...or...
I call it Damn fine whiskey. @@coachmo8695
I've only had 1 Eagle Rare store pick. Sure enough, was worse than the off the shelf one I had. I blinded them 3 different times on different days to make sure.
What video is that? I have about 20 opened ER picks at the moment lol.
You guys have the best channel going alongside Brewzle. I want to know how you built everything.!
So jealous....tough to even find Eagle Rare in NY.
any plans for bourbon festival gentlemen? road trip down? meet in fort wayne?
I need a bottle of this!!!! Where are they for sale?
Are you able to bottle it a higher proof or do they force your to ruin the whiskey by watering it down like they do?
They say in the video that it’s proofed down.
@@Chase_AM Ah I was listening for that but didn't hear it, thanks. Defeats the purpose of picking a barrel if it's watered down like their other stuff.
Eagle Rare from the barrel is a different animal, just had some a few days ago picking a barrel!
Barrel picking made easy: Go with Cline's pick.
Will y’all have the bottle share bags back in stock anytime soon? Thanks!
Yes! They will be back in black in the next month.
@@BourbonJunkiesawesome! I’ll be on the lookout! Thanks fellas! 🥃
I am Jelly. That is my all time favorite!
So help me out. I bought a store pick and didn't like it. Is ER10 a subtle product. I expected to be beaten over the head with aroma and flavor. Or is it just meh? Let me know. KC9 is pungent sweet, fruit, carmel, vanilla interesting. Coating. ER wasn't memorable. Or do i need more time with it?
And shoot
Dan carry's Sean 100% of the time lol salute.
Dammit Sean! You made my nest speaker play Miley Cyrus
Now,how do I get a bottle?
Very cool!
So do they not allow you to have it bottled at barrel strength? It has to be at whatever the normal proof of that product would be on the shelf? Or do they allow you the choice on proof for a single barrel pick like this?
well, that would then be stagg if it was barrel proof. but would be a 10 year stagg!
That's my question too. ER is nothing special at 90, watering it down defeats the purpose of a barrel pick.
@@ikeyeet8312 Is that really the only difference between stagg and ER, a couple years and a ton of water??
@@bobbygetsbanned6049 yup
different flavor profiles. Also staggs are intentionally blended to a profile. ER is not. The barrel proof ER did not taste like our Stagg barrel we picked a couple years ago now. When you go on a pick they have to put it under one of their labels. If you are there to do an ER pick they put it under their ER label/sku which is 90 proof. If you are there for taylor it's 100 proof, so on and so forth. You don't get to pick your proofs on picks. That would be a lot of work for them to remember what each pick group wanted for each barrel and then proof each down accordingly, change labels/proofs on each release, etc when they have 100's/1000's in the queue at one time.
Awesome !
Woohooo I guess there’s always a chance to score one.
Beagle rare
I'm in the area Will you guys be releasing these at your place or at a liquor store? Would love to get one with you guys's autograph
They are released on patreon. Only spirits produced at EverNorth can be sold at EverNorth
Get video guys. I’d love to buy a bottle.
How can I get a bottle?
❤ well done. Obvious next Q: How do I get one?
So was the pick than proofed to 90?? If it was then why was the tasting at barrel strenght? Flavor changes as proof changes.
The initial tasting is proofed down to 90. Once a barrel is picked you can try it at full proof
Not a bad way to spend a day
Dan needs a drink, mui pronto!
Sharing is caring 😆
Can I purchase a bottle from barrel B???
So when you guys did the tasting, it was barrel proof? Then they proof down to 90 for delivery?
They proofed it down for the pick and we tried it at barrel strength after
Why not a “barrel proof” ER?!?! If you’re buying the whole barrel…. Why not!?!?
Exactly what I was saying! You're buying the damn barrel and they still force you to water it down!? Total bs.
They won’t let you otherwise we would have
How do I buy one of them picks?
Patreon
Being in Michigan... and buying an entire barrel of Eagle Rare.... Are you planning on opening a gas station.... asking for a friend.... Have a Great Day Everyone🥃🥃🥃🥃
That place is adult Disneyland 🍻
cool
How many bottles do you expect to get out of the barrel?
We won't know until they dump it but since they'll proof it down from about 123 proof to 90 proof it should be an alright yield.
@@BourbonJunkies that's super interesting. What's the turnaround time like for getting your bottles?
How can us subscribers purchase a bottle?
Would be sick if they let you pick a barrel and bottle it at barrel proof. Why isn’t that a thing?
AWSOME
Question having never done a pick. Are u guys tasting it uncut or proofed down to 90??
They proofed these samples down to 90 for the pick so we didn't have to pick something that wasn't closer to what we are tasting.
They say in the video that it’s proofed down.
@@BourbonJunkies How nice of them to pre-water down your bourbon for you, such gentlemen.
So lucky
Congrats on winning the rights to a Barrel pick. How many bottles are they estimating you'll get out of it?
BIN! 😜
I want to thank Cline personally for making my Google play Miley Cyrus.
You’re welcome lol
Same thing happened to me. 😂
Same
No matter how often I try this product, I just don't like it. It's not complex and every sip is hotter.
Imagine being Eugene and hearing all these jokes for the first time
