    Course Description:
Documentation is an essential part of patient care. When documentation is incomplete, your patient’s safety and provider liability are at risk. If the patient claims they have been harmed, one of the first steps taken is a review of your documentation in the medical record. Could you defend yourself against medical negligence with your medical record documentation alone?
Upon completion of this presentation attendees will be able to:
    • Examine the challenges with documentation
    • Review frequent allegations made against healthcare providers
    • Recognize the liabilities associated with incomplete documentation
    • Apply strategies to improve documenting patient interactions objectively, accurately, and concisely
